Location near EU institutions, parks and bus for the airport. Nice small apartment. Good wi-fi connection. Good price for Brussels.
Narrow stairs. Some renewal in the building and the apartment would be welcomed.
It was set in a peaceful location, close to a supermarket, and I loved the small private sun terrace. It was a spacious apartment for the money and as comfortable as I would have expected for this cost.
My main reason for not recommending it is what we are not told in the description. It would take a very fit person to make it to the apartment from the nearest Metro stop in four minutes (especially with luggage), and it would have been really helpful to have had an email before arriving telling me how to get into the building. (No reception, so I had to find the Booking.com details then phone the owner once I was outside. The weather was good, so this only caused mild irritation; it would have been really annoying if it had been pouring with rain.) As a self-catering apartment, it's adequately equipped, but I've stayed in much better places in this respect. (It's nice to have touches like a coffee maker, bread-knife, etc.) I discovered on the second morning that there was no hair-dryer (no iron either - or batteries in the T.V. remote). These things may well have been snaffled by previous occupants, but I would expect checks to be made between guests. It would be unfair to say it was actually dirty, but it clearly hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in a while and, beyond basic washing up equipment and a broom and dustpan on the terrace, there were no cleaning materials or products.
good location, kitchen with nice terrasse at backside. nice gérant.
my apparthotel was just under the roof, bedroom with Velux and no dark curtains, bath with shower under the roof high only 1.70m, difficult to use! kitchen and terrasse downstairs ok. as I complained I was told I can ask for a "better" room next time!
Close to EU meeting venue. Friendly staff.
Old interior, but adequate.
Good value for money. Large bathroom, large bed, kitchenette, balcony with table and chairs. Not in the heart of city but good location, with restaurants, grocery and easy/quick transit into city centre. Good Wi-Fi.
Small sign for the place made it harder to find. No kettle.
The owner was very nice to come and pick me up at the airport, free of charge, when I was arriving late. I got the apartment just under the roof with a beatiful view of the rooftops and other surrounding gardens. Very nice to get the breakfast brought to my room. The location was extremely close to the EC premises just around the corner.
The drain in the washbasin was not functioning so well but perhaps this is what to expert of the piping system in an old Brussel house. The bed was slightly hard but also here, might be Belgian standard.
close to city center and parks
no elevator smelly small bathrooms dubious carpeting no once cleans rooms no hot water
The location was great, the staff was kind and helpful! We didn't have breakfast, so that's why I rated poor. It was a really cute place, plenty of room, nice window view. Our own kitchen with all supplies, plates, pots, pans, etc. if I lived here, this would be where I would want to live!
The steps! It's a good work out, but you need to be prepared, with heavy luggage.
Owner helpful, changed our room because we had small kids. Free wifi. Good location and very quiet.
Bathroom way too small, could be cleaner. The rooms was on the 4th floor without any elavator - note in case you have difficulties with stairs or travelling with very young childern.
Not at all obvious where it was; I had to ring the owner and to wait a lot. We paid for breakft for 2 days, but only the one day we got breakfast ! There is no reception only the owner who we had to call. I would not ecommend it
The owners are very helpful. The rooms are clean. There's wi fi and hot water. You can use kitchen and cook for yourself.
If you want your room to be cleaned daily, this hotel is not for you.
Not at all obvious where it was; no signs outside only a notice in the window saying that they rented rooms without their name
Hotel has a home-like atmosphere. Great balcony. Very helpful owner. He even drove me to the airport for free to facilitate my journey. Breakfast to the room with no extra charge.
You can hear sometimes the steps of the guests upstair as it is an old house.
Wifi, bed, fridge, hob
Many stairs and no lift!
low price, quite central, nice staff
cleaning was good for bed but not so good for bathroom and kitchen. my apartment was at third floor with no elevator. bath sink was so small that was impossible to be used.
Excellent price for the location. WiFi worked well.
Dusty floors, manager failed to turn up with breakfast, plates, glass panel behind cooker broken, remote control of TV not working, light switch in dangerous state, wardrobe awkward for hanging clothes,
Localisation, very close to the all European Commission buildings what I needed mostly, friendly owner, conditions in the appartment adequate to the price.
Poor breakfast (intercontinental which I don't like at all), look of apartment require some renovation or at least painting (especially toilet and bathroom) but because of the price and localisation I will probably return when it will be necessary.
The flat itself was very nice and good location. But the actual building is a bit dilapidated and needs modernising and a lick of paint wouldn't be wasted.
When I arrived early evening there was no one around to ket me in until I called. The breakfast was a bit stingy but ok.
