The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is quiet, cosy and inviting and very well placed for access to the centre of Bruges. The room was basic but clean and exactly what we needed. We really enjoyed our stay there.

The location was excellent - only a few minutes' walk from the main square. The breakfast was ok with a reasonably rich choice. We stayed in a very big room with one large and 2 single beds and it was clean and nicely decorated. There were coffee and tea making facilities in the room. In spite of the cold weather, the room temperature was still warm.

It was a delight to stay here. The location was very central to the historic part of town. We booked a twin room and were given a huge family room for the same price. Breakfast was excellent. Quiet and secure, in back street with secure access. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. Could not fault this hotel. Excellent value for money.

I loved the convenience and the service, once you were settled in, there was no need to drive as it is so close to the centre of Bruges. The breakfast facilities were just right and you didn't ever feel as though you were being rushed. The rooms were clean and spacious. We had a room for 2 and a room for 4 (rooms 1 and 2). I had expected the room for 4 to be very cramped and perhaps to contain camp beds for the extra people but this wasn't the case. It contained two twins and a double and was more than adequate. Lighting in the rooms could be better. It was very hard to see in the mirror in the main room to dry my hair once the sun had gone down as there were no lights near the mirror. Other than that, I have no complaints whatsoever.

I liked the cool calm interior on arrival. I liked the speed of check in and efficiency on front desk. I had read all the tripadvisor reviews so had e-mailed the hotel requesting a double (not twin) room at the back of building and I got just that. The room was large, airy and clean. The bedding and towels were of good quality. Asked to use an iron and one was produced immediately. The breakfast in the cellar was lovely. Think maybe after more than 2 mornings I may have craved something different but it was more than adequate for our two night break. Would go back without hesitation and would recommend this place to family and friends. Its not advertised anywhere but room no 9 on the ground floor is a two bed appt so if we decide to return with our boys, we would definately request this room. On our first night we had a "quiet neighbour" in room no 8 so we thought the rooms were soundproofed. Unfortunately on our second night we found this wasn't the case as our neighbours were rather vocal and the screaming from the shower at 730am was an unexpected wake up call!!!! So if I had to pick something that I didn't like it would be that the adjoining bathroom wall had been thicker and soundproofed!?...

Friendly staff - very clean and comfortable hotel with excellent facilities. Great location close to restaurants, shops and tourist sites. Terrific breakfasts and great lounge and outdoor rest area. We would definitely stay at this hotel again and thought that Bruges was fantastic. We didn't mind the stairs at all but they could present a problem for frail aged or people with limited mobility.

We liked the location as it was very central to everything and the rooms were extremely clean and large for europe. It was a very quiet location and close to the town centre. The room was also very quiet and we didn't here anyone else around us. It didn't have free internet in the reception area.

This hotel is wonderfully central. It was easy to visit all our favourite places. Our room was spacious and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the ensuite shower wonderful with towels changed daily. We overlooked a pretty little terrace where we were welcome to sit with friends.Breakfast was a great variety of fruit, cereals, cold meats, rolls of every kind and eggs to boil on the spot. This served in a beautifully converted cellar on spotless, carefully laid tables. Our hosts were exceptionally kind and helpful. We loved it! The fact that there is no lift can be a problem, but the stairs have bannisters at either side which helps if walking is a problem.

The service was excellent, the rooms cheery, clean and the view overlooking the courtyard wonderful. The breakfast each morning was bountiful, the location was very close to most of the highlights of Bruges and Frank, the host was very helpful. All in all a great place to stay at a moderate price. Also the rooms were immaculate. The only downside of this hotel was the fact that our room was 37 steps from reception. a good workout indeed!

Very close to the tourist center of Brugge. There is no noise from the street. Quite big room, two windows. Very nice staff. Breakfast - buffet-style ("sweden table") with typical for Europe choise. Acoustic isolation of rooms is not perfect. One can typically leasten movements of neighbours in their room, their shower and so on. However for us it was not a problem, since our neighbours had the same schedule for wake up and going to sleep.

Location is superb. Clean and with all the facilities required for any type of break. Great breakfast in a wonderful room in the basement adding to the character. Very obliging with regards to checking out and leaving bags. A great hotel. The only thing wrong was that our stay was too short!!!! No problems with this hotel for us.

“Brilliantly atmospheric - a real piece of Brugge - perfect spot for people watching out of the huge windows overlooking the Square with plenty of choice for eating out nearby. Loved the space and decor of the room and bathroom - it felt more like living in a luxury apartment than staying at a B&B.” Stephen, Walmer, Deal |
