Firstly, the service was excellent. The staff were very informative with suggestions for restaurant, shopping and sights. Which they were very happy to make reservations for us. Added amenities were also greatly appreciated. For example, the complimentary 2 hour guided tour of Bruges and the beautiful bag of refreshments put together for our drive home were lovely touches, so thank you!

Most of the staff was so personable and went beyond being polite. Our room was not ready because of a linen snaffu that was not resolved to our satisfaction. It was late afternoon before we got pillowcases and we were exhausted from our overnight flight so we could not rest when we would have liked to. For the, price and anticipation..we were disappointed by the inconvenience.

This was our second stay and it was just as good as before: wonderful location, very private, excellent and friendly service, delightful and quiet bedroom. This is definitely a hotel to come back to. Only 2 very minor complaints: one of the lights in the bedroom was not working and there was a large tuft of human hair still attached to the hotel hairdryer fixed to the wall.

Intimate setting and support. The staff were attentive and helpful in coming up with suggestions for things. They knew their local area fantastically. Lack of hotel dinner options was disappointing. This was not at all clearly communicated in the website and I would not have stayed there if I had known this was the case (however, in hindsight, there suggested eating locations were first-class so that is a testament to their support).

Perfect location, able to access all of Bruges very easily. Beautiful setting, very picturesque. The room was very pretty, good lighting, antiques, large comfortable bed, air conditioning a must as weather gorgeous thoughout all of our stay. Staff very courteous and helpful. Absolutely loved it. Nothing except on check-in we were not allocated a canal view as originally booked but the hotel did offer one to us but not as nice as one they allocated so stayed where we were. The Hotel has been bought out from Martin's Hotel chain so this is maybe why the allocation was not as expected. One other minor complaint is the price of the breakfast at 25 Euros per person - incredibly expensive, nice but not worth the money. Indulged once and then found a lovely Cafe around the corner and had a continental breakfast including ham and cheese for 8 Euros.

Turn down service with fresh towels provided in the evening. A little over priced. While the building is beautiful and very well placed for the price charged I expected more efficient service. The front desk was very slow (just one person working check out) and room cleaning was not quite up to par. "King bed" was 2 twins pushed together which was disappointing for the price.

Probably the best city centre hotel I have ever stayed in. Brilliant staff for whom nothing was too much trouble, beautiful rooms and a really great feeling to the bar and breakfast rooms. Magnificent in every way. We will be going back as soon as we can.

Excellent breakfast and lovely dining room Noiseproofing very poor. We had a family with children in the room above us in a suite that had a wooden floor. Kids running around at 0700 on a Sunday morning. We would not choose to stay here again

We enjoyed our stay very much and were looked after extremely well. Plug in our bathroom wash basin would not drain well unless removed - we did not think it necessary to report it.
