Interesting design, convenient location close to city centre, but still quiet. Too bad that there was no restaurant. The very stylish breakfast room would make a fantastic restaurant. Facilities to prepare a tea/coffee in room should not be charged extra. |

The building conversion from a church to a hotel is skillfuly done and very pleasant to see, comfortable rooms and an outstanding breakfast eating area. The wireless reception in the rooms was poor to not at all. |

Hotel was in a good location near centre and a brisk walk from the train station. Room was well appointed and little outside noise to contend with. Little amenities for food although room service menu was adequate. |

Original reuse of church building. Near city center. Limited number of hotel parking spaces, contrary to information on the Booking-website. Parking in neighbourhood is problematic. Breakfast: coffee/tea is self service, which requires a lot of walking around to collect all breakfast items. Inexperienced personnel. In general: pretending to be a luxery hotel, but in reality an original building with services not according to luxery standard. |

Most unusual and most eclectic hotel I have ever had the pleasure to stay in. Kudos to the architect who designed this gem in a genuine centuries old cathedral. Our room was unbelievably wonderful with gothic arches, a stained glass window and an atmosphere of beauty, romance and serenity. It was also impeccably clean. Hotel staff most welcoming and professional. Best value for the money of any hotel I can remember. I was very very impressed with this lovely boutique hotel. 5 min walk to the Vismarkt (lots of cafes and terraces) and 8 min to the Centrum (even more cafes and terraces) of the delightful, old world, charming town of Mechelen. Sept 2009. Parking was a little difficult as the hotel garage was unavailable to us further it was quite expensive had it been available - 20e overnight. |

The hotel breathes a very authentic atmosphere. The service was great, the room was spacious and tidy. A stay in the hotel is an experience in itself. |

Reasonably central and close to the redeveloped and increasingly lively part of the city near the canal and Vismarkt. Very quiet and atmospheric. Comfortable bed and good breakfast. Sadly, something of a triumph of style over substance - e.g. the altar in the breakfast room. The church's arch, which occupied a significant part of our room was low and close to the foot of the bed and difficult to negotiate while crossing backwards and forwards to windows, dressing table and bathroom. The lighting of the whole hotel was discreet to the point of being rather murky - the room itself had no central light. Our initial encounter with the female receptionist was cool to the point of rudeness. We arrived slightly in advance of the unnecessarily late check-in time and had to ask to leave our luggage (in a room with no light), though I should stress that all the remaining staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful. |

It is a great hotel in a real church. They kept the original details, but added the comfort of a good hotel. The breakfast was very good with lots of variation. The bed was fine, Bathroom and toilet seperate. Bathrobes and free slippers. Walking distance to the center of town, shops, restaurants and cultural center. The airco was not able to keep the room cool, so on this hot day the room was about 28 degrees, too hot to sleep in. Everything else was just great! |

Excellent personal attention from the staff. Bed was super comfortable (it was my best night of sleep in 10 days on the road). Breakfast was very good and they make eggs to order. Rooms were a bit dark. |

Rooms in the really old style, comfortable and beautifull. I would recommend this hotel to everybody. In the room there is a coffe machine - you have to pay 3 euros per coffee/tea. In 4 stars hotel.... |
