Only 270 yards from Botanique Metro Station, Hotel Villa Royale offers air-conditioned rooms and free Wi-Fi just outside the center of Brussels. It features a bar serving cocktails and Belgian beers.
Score from 1638 reviews Good
Young people all around Nice and pittoresque The owners kept the factory-look combined with futuristic elements
Poor wifi in the room, you need to stay at the reception or on the hallway for the internet to work decently
Excellent would stay there again.
Couldn't cancel one night of our time there becasue of Strike action that meant we were 24hrs late in getting to hotel. Really soured our stay.
Staff friendly and helpful. Plenty of useful information and maps Rooms a good size and comfortable
Location - definitely not a place to walk back to in the dark take a taxi but be careful what they charge. It should be under €10 from the City Centre.
Proxity to the centre, easy to get to from Midi, guest kitchen area.
Rooms could be a little lighter.
Free WiFi Bar lounge area although should be open all day Easy enough to find Plenty of space
Breakfast too expensive not enough choice Location poor
Great value for money Only a short walk from the center of Brussels Clean, modern accomodation
Nothing to dislike
Modern and clean
A bit far from centre
Nice design and spacious rooms. The bathroms were very well organized (rooms for 3 people have separate shower and toilet, what is very comfortable for a group of people). Very nice staff. It's not very centraly located, but is easily accessed by public transport.
When we were there (in December) there was very cold in our room and we were told there was no possibility to switch off any addition heating (including the heater that was installed in a room). We asked for some extra blankets, but we couldn't get any. There was also not enought light in the room (there were many lamps, but not too bright) and wi-fi needs work (it's far too slow).
Close to underground close to Central
Youth hotel mainly Noisy Overcrowded breakfast room Hard bed Really very basic equipment in rooms
This place is amazing ... the rooms are so quiet and well-appointed (perhaps, as a UK visitor, only lacking tea/coffee making facilities). It is about 15 minute walk to the Grand Place, but who cares when you can stay in such great hotel at such good price!
We paid extra for the "as much as you can eat" breakfast. The only problem was that the staff simply couldn't cope with the numbers having breakfast and so had to wait 30 minutes for a cup of coffee, then longer for milk, then more time for plates, butter ... I could go on! Moral of the story: probably take breakfast at 9:30 when most have finished or leave it out ...
recently reconstructed; relatively close to city centre
big noise from guests but also from employees! it is a youth hotel! Big crowds during breakfast. Definitely not appropriate for business traveling!
If I ever come back to Brussels I am definitely staying in this hotel. Everything was great, one of the best hotels I stayed during my long trip.
Location, Clean, Good Atmosphere, Creative Decor
Breakfast, there were options, but it was kind of a joke. Pay the money elsewhere. The bed wasn't great. I could feel the springs.
the place is interesting because it is a former factory the design is modern the building is newly renovated the location is good as close to the city center and also to the train station
the first floor is a hostel, which means a lot of young noisy people celebrating and signing all night long internet connection is very very bad kitchen is a good idea, but this one looks a little depressing, like a fast food place at a train station, electrical kettle was so dirty I did not want to make a cup of tea there, and drinking it in the canteen I would not want too because of that train station fast food place design; view out of my room was depressing - right in front of the window there is an apartment building located rather close for comfort
The hotel is very good! Clean, comfortable, the people who work there are very helpful and kind, it is close to the center(10 min walk) and the room was big enough for the 4 of us!! I would certainly recommend to stay there!!
The only thing that I might say that I would like a little bit different is the breakfast..maybe a biggest variety for that money..
The place is more interesting than a classic business hotel. It has a nice bar and a young vibe.
The private rooms are OK but generally it's a hostel rather than a hotel. The breakfast is half decent, the wi-fi only really covers the lounge and bar but not rooms.
The staff, the approach and the atmosphere of the hotel. It resembles a high-end hostel, with plenty of young people, lively atmosphere and good services. When I came into my room it turned out the washbassin had fallen from the wall, I went back to the reception but they had no other room, so I got the night offered and breakfasts for my whole stay. This was really nice and fullly made up for the lack of a washbassin. The room was very comfy and spatious, I liked the design and the subway is some 7 minutes on foot from the hotel. Breakfast is really good enough, you can get fruit, yoghurt cereals or make a sandwich. Good selection of teas. The hotel is a passive building, so dont count on opening the windows but the air was fresh and it was pleasant inside.
The shower arm holder in the bathroom was broken.
Good wifi, cool hotel, rooms were good, beer was reasonably priced, location was pretty reasonable(about a 10 min walk from brussels centre), area seemed ok, and was very reasonably priced
Could not take beer up to rooms,
Correct, clean place, comfortable room.
Room was not ready. Noisy neighbors in the night.
Rearranged us a new hotel and organised a taxi and paid for it.
Didnt get informed before we arrrived at 4pm.
Fairly near center
Too noisy and too expensive for single room. Not good for business travelers.
Close to city center Liked the industrial spirit from the building Nice design and decoration All new equipments
Great location, good breakfast. Good value
Very rude young staff, whom totally ignored our needs and requests. No staff to serve you at the bar when people are checking in.
No extras. No cups or lotion. Breakfast was just ok.
Solid location and helpful staff. Amazing value for the money
Wifi doesn't work at all
