Great value for money, nice staff and very comfortable rooms. The large Jacuzzi and small gym is also a great bonus.
Size of the rooms
Clean and bright！
Friendly helpful staff
The bar was not open limited of choice of drinks
Location close to Gare du Midi
Breakfast is good but to expensive
quite a lot of people around hotel seems like they are hiding something near the flower pot, make people feel unsafe there
Close to main station and walking distance to grand place.
The area is like the Middle East. Wouldn't stay longer than 1 day in Brussels. Good for a stopover.
The hotel is situated close to the central station and to the local metro rail. It is also lovely to take a walk to the centre of the city to see the local sights; it is +/- a 15 minute walk. The facilities like the jacuzzi is great and it has a gym and steam room with sauna which is good for relaxation. The breakfast buffet has a good choice of different foods and drinks and it is of good quality.
Location was great for the eurostar and transport into the centre. Big hot tub and variety of choice for breakfast. Free mulled wine and belgian chocolates in reception at Christmas very welcoming.
Was given incorrect times for breakfast on boxing day so we missed it.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was changed (albeit from a suite to a regular room) without a problem when we complained about a leak in the suite/ loud noises from the nearby boiler
The location was a bit dodgy- we took a cab from the city center when. In terms of our experience at the hotel, we were not impressed. Our first room smelled moldy and had wet spots on the carpet due to an apparent leak. Furthermore the nearby (loud) boiler would turn on every 45 minutes and kept us up at night. After switching rooms- we were downgraded from the suite we had originally booked to a normal room. Even this room had its problems- the wifi did not work due to a weak signal and there was a coffee stain right by the entrance.
Friendly staff at reception nice and quiet hotel.
Bar closed limited breakfast option. If you only want fruit and coffee its expensive.
room and breakfast cleaning location
+ very close to the center and to the metro station + good breakfast + hotel room was nice & clean
- the neighbourhood is a bit suspicious, a bit scary even - parking possible only in the hotel & not free - the spa facilities were not very clean & the steam bath was non-functional & moldy - either breakfast or parking was very expensive (we paid for breakfast & parking (2 days, 2 persons) 99 euro extra)
Perfect location. Very friendly personal - ready to help with any question. Quiet and comfortable.Huge rooms with all necessary. This is a great example of good quality in big hotel chain. The price in lower season is great. You can also easily leave your lugage for few days while you're away in teh nearest towns.
There were some troubles with wi-fi in the eveneings.
Location, cleanliness, modern.
Lacked a bit of character possibly, but generally no problems
The location is close to the train station (Eurostar) Staff very friendly and room is spacious
No shower door, water splash all over the place. Although good location but the area the hotel is located seems quite dangerous especially for girls at night
Excellent breakfast n nice staff
Door on shower room so close to the wash tub n barely make it to open the door
Hotel is clean and well maintained. Room was big and nice, beds very comfortable.
Pillows could be better.
the staff is very friendly (certainly compared to the IBIS on teh other side of the station)
The good-sized, clean room, quiet hotel, tea making facilities in room, close to the Midi station. It's nice that you can open the window!
The fact that it is at the back of the Midi station, i.e. not that easy to find, and there aren't any nice restaurants or cafes nearby. The hotel itself doesnt have any cafe/bar/restaurant (apparently, there will be one in future). The hotel and its rooms lack character.
Good distance from station and east access to city centre on foot or by gram. Great room and extensive breakfast buffet, receptionists all lovely.
Weekend breakfast buffet staff a bit brusque about dietary needs.
good location and service
The Mercure was quiet, comfortable, and easy to walk to from the Gare de Midi. The Staff were very helpful. We would definitely stay again. Thank you!
Front desk staff excellent. Really helpful with directions etc.
Brussells is so overpriced. No Bar open in Hotel. Very functional ..no warmth? I suppose if you work for the EU Gravy train value for money is not a consideration as they don't pay..we do!! Location in a scruffy area unfortunately but no different to any other station location. Breakfast buffet looked awful so went to a local café which was excellent.
Well equipped rooms, friendly staff and very good breakfast.
It is in a run-down area and despite being very close to station, hard to locate. Website needs directions. But you can walk easily to city centre
