Habitació molt confortable: llit de matrimoni 2x2, tocador amb gran mirall, il.luminació, minibar gratuït (2 cerveses+2aigües+2Cokes, reposicio diària), 2 butaques al peu del llit encarades a la TV amb tauleta al mig, escriptori. Buffet esmorzar correcte. A 5-7 minuts de la Grand Place. Tot OK. |

No havia estat mai en un hotel de 5 estrelles, però la veritat és que m'esperava molt més d'un hotel així. El hall és molt espectacular, i l'edifici en sí és molt maco. No m'ha agradat l'habitació. Emoquetada, petita, la calefacció a tope sense poder-la regular, havent de dormir (plovent), amb la finestra oberta de la calor que hi feia, la banyera dificil d'engegar l'aigua calenta, l'esmorzar molt pobre i amb els croissants secs i reescalfats... En fi, que de 5 estrelles, poc. |

Location The room was not up to what was promised - the site said a Euro 999.00 room for Euro 120.00 - but he room you got you would never pay 999.00 as it was at the back old and not done up and worth about Euro 120.00 - obviouslt the hotel front was fantastic but the room did no tive up to the promise |

The location was excellent and near the Grand Place although it was a bit noisy. The room was nice and the sheets comfortable. We loved the black out blinds which meant we were not disturbed by the sun streaming in. The room seemed very clean and was spacious. This was not a 5 star hotel and the hotel itself seemed a bit worn and could use some upgrade. The hallways were empty and dated but not in a good way. It lacked something but we could not quite put our finger on it. We had an upgraded room which had it's on hallway but that was empty. The furnishings in the room, whilst grand, did not give the room a warm feeling. |

very quiet, no unnecessary dialog or even contact with the staff, very well located in the hart of the shopping area. the toilet in my room was a kind of trap,incredible small and uncomfortable;the matress (at least in my room) was very unhealthy(soft).The breackfast is very expensive in spite of the variety of small,cheap and nice coffee shops arround. |

Great location, parking was made easy by your superb staff. A small problem with the missing lights in my room was quickly and efficiently solved. I thought the rooms (600's) did not in anyway reflect the splendour of the the reception areas. The rooms were a little bland, plain and boring (uninspired)! none the less they were very comfortable. |

Exquisite 1890s decor in the public rooms. Nice brasserie (we didn't use the main dining room as it is closed during weekends). Spacious room (ours was a 'privilege room' but not a suite). Metro station just outside the door. Staff without exception were efficient and polite. The lift looks wonderful - it appears to date from 1895 like the hotel - but it jammed every day we were there. The choice and quality of the breakfast food was superb, but I have never stayed in a hotel which supplied such small plates for an English breakfast! We really enjoyed our stay, but having stayed at numerous 4- and 5-star hotels around the world, I have to say that the Metropole is nearer to 4-star than the alleged 5. |

the lift was out of service when we first arrived making it somewhat difficult to get to the room...but it was fixed afterwards. There was a filming crew taking up most the downstairs when we came back to enjoy our hotel so we did not get to check out the extra facilities before we had to leave very early the next morning. |

The Old Grandeur is still there, although most of the luxury has vanished... and the balconies on the back of the building are nice. Everything looks a bit old: the bed was too soft, the bathroom lacked some amenities customary for this kind of hotel. And the worse: I have been charged 7 euros for a local phone call, without warning. There was no price list in the room... |

The staff were so friendly and helpful. We really felt pampered. I like the drinks included in the room and parking the car for us was SO helpful and such a plus after a long day of driving. |

The breakfast buffet was wonderful.So many selections, and they were all delicious. The beautiful architecture and style of the period was fantastic. We had gotten a pretty good deal on the Internet and wouldn't have stayed otherwise. What a treat for us. When I blew an electrical fuse by using an adapter I had brought, I called the front desk and the person who answered was so nice. Cheerful and not scolding. What a delight the experience was. |
