The good thing is the lobby/restaurant area that is marvellous and beautiful plus the free minibar at the room otherwise we were not impressed. We expected more from a 5 star hotel, felt more like 3 or 4 star hotel. The location in Brussels is great though for discovering the city. No shower curtain or drain in the bathroom, so when taking a shower the floor gets extremly wet (in fact the door in the bathroom was destroyed due to this). Poor service, for example, asked for a bottle opener, 1 hour after and a phonecall still no opener. Cleaning between the days not up to standard (did not empty the trash can for example or fill up toilett paper). A blanket as cover, not clean |

I chose the hotel mainly because of the caffee Metrolpole , I visited the Caffee several times, I enjoyed he coffee and the atmosphere, particularly enjoyed the service and every time I fell the welcome of the staff. |

Very nice building, nice personnel, big rooms. Breakfast was well set-up with a reasonable selection. Good value for mon ey. The room decoration was very outdated, needing some refurbishing. Furniture was not in adequate conditions, nor was the state of the carpet for a hotel like this. Although promptly resolved by the hotel staff, we had problems with the air conditioned and the bathroom taps. |
