Location is excellent. I have been several time at Metropole, and normally it is a good hotel. But last time it was an orrible experience !!! I rent the best possible room available (privilege). The room wasugly, with an hold small tv, old carpet and it was in front to a building under destruction/construction where workers start to beat out with their hammer at 7.00. The price was normal and didn't take in care of this problem.

The hotel is housed in a very beautiful Art Deco building. We were treated like second class citizens possibly because we booked the room with Booking.com(which is cheaper than their own prices). We have booked their superior room. The plumbing was terrible, the worst we've ever experienced. The shower tap was jammed and the basin tap could not turn on, the toilet did not flush and the light bulb was broken. It took two hours for a technician to come. He said we had to change rooms. The first room offered was considerably smaller and nastier than the original one even though the hotel was half empty. It took a lot of persuasion to get a room equivalent to the first one but with satisfactory plumbing. Five years ago the hotel services were much better. It looks and acts tired.

I really liked a large and clean bathroom and the inside decoration hotel was beautiful. The rest was just alright as '5' star hotel.... Although I could change the room where I wanted to stay on the spot, a room which I booked was not cleaned. (I checked-in after 5pm.) I probably should not complain but, the hotel staff was not very sincere for that.. And I have never seen such a mini bar in 5 star hotel before..lol

The grand archietecture is always a great experience. Excellent wi-fi connections for free Excellent breakfast Not comfortable working desk/chair Quality of tv set / Tv transmission was rather poor - selection of channels however very good. Lacking possibilities of temperature regulation in the room - a bit could during my stay

Only breakfast but little bit expensive as the quality. The hotel was disappointing as 5 star hotel. The staff does not work well. They can't greet. The room is not so comfortable and the facility is not beautiful. For example, the shower was very weak and has some trouble.

First of all we think that the hotel it does not diserve the 5 stars.the design is not very delicate.we stayed three days in the hotel and anly the when we arrive they change us the shampoo in the bath.the breakfast whas too expencive(28.5 Euro???) you can eat out for less money.the gym is not a gym for a 5 star hotel. Plus that there room service did not know where it is. That means that they never clean it.

The hotel has an excellent location, the room is spacious and clean, although the furnitures are dates but overall it is a great hotel to stay, the location of the hotel is the best bit, 10mins to grand palace and underground station just outside the hotel gate! We have 2 children and they all enjoyed stay in there, will recommend this hotel without doubt! If hotel can provide tea/coffee make facility, it would be better for family like us - children needs the hot water to make milk!

The hotel boasts very impressive ancient-style common areas, with abundance of marble and wood, that make you feel like living in the good old times of high-society European tours. The hotel is located in the very heart of Brussels: on the back there is one of the main shopping streets, the Grand Place is a few blocks away, two large restaurant areas are nearby and a metro station is in front of the hotel (to quickly reach the various offices of the European Union). WiFi is free in all rooms and works really well. Rooms are very quiet, as they have a double door that stops the noise (if any) from the corridor.

I have stayed at the Hotel Metropole many times over the last 10 years but this was the first time that my husband had accompanied me for the weekend before my meeting. Having experienced some of the stunning rooms at the Metropole I was a little disappointed with the room (No1016) as having previously been in it I know it is on the small side, over looks a well and is a bit noisy from the vents outside. That said none of this spoilt our stay - we didn't spend much time in the room, it was clean, everything worked and the bed was comfortable - what more do you want. I will be staying at the Metropole again in February - it is always my first choice of hotels in Brussels.

I like the proportions and architecture of the hotel. Also the fact that it is still in the same family ownership. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
