the bathroom is very spacious with good design. shampoo sachets are really good. the patio where the breakfast is served with the garden that belongs to it
the breakfast doesn't worth the money.
staff location breakfast area
Size of the bedroom for 3 people Choice at breakfast Dining area in conservatory with pretty garden Friendly and helpful staff Family atmosphere Free parking close by Close to town centre (10 mins. walking distance)
Room too hot and stuffy which meant that we had to sleep with the window open and got little sleep because of the noise from passers-by (we were on the 1st floor) and traffic on 2 nearby main road (motorbikes/scooters in particular)
The great courtesy and kindness of the staff, the quietness of the place, the comfortable room, the magic green garden for smelling moments of peace and silence and for taking breakfast, the place near tje centre of the City.
kind staff good breakfast free parking in 500m cute hotel with nice breakfast area
wifi not working in the room, only in the lobby room was a bit dirty: dirty towels and curtains, no toilet paper
Spacious clean and quiet room.
Got lost trying to find it as it is a bit of a walk from the centre of Brugge. Too many stairs for a older couple lugging around cases.
Toilet had not been cleaned in at least a month.
We asked for rooms near to each other. We did not get a message, before we arrived that the two rooms - one for two teenagers - was on another floor. It would have been a disaster with a little bit younger children, and we would of course have preferred to have an opportunity to book another hotel, if we had been told at once that it was not possible to stay at the same floor. The Wifi codes did not work. On the confirmation we were promised check in time from 14 to 17. When we arrived, we were given keys to two rooms. We carried our luggage to 1st. And 2nd. Floor - just to find out that the room on the 2nd floor wasn't cleaned, hadn't had the beds made and so on and so forth. So - down again with the luggage. Why not tell us before giving us the key that the room wasn't ready? All we wanted was two clean rooms on the same floor, check in at 14 pm, and Wifi that worked. We got none of it. Don't go there. Don'T. The price is far, far too high for what you get. And not an excuse at all for all of the malfunctioning things. And don't expect to get a notice, if some of your wishes on the booking can't be fulfilled. You'll just get a surprise at arrival. Pick another place!
Great location for great price
Location was good, room was clean, breakfast was good, staff were helpful.
Room was facing the street at street level (so people could see in to the room), wifi did not work very well.
Within walking distance of the centre of the city & good choice of restaurants fairly close by.
We stayed in 2 other hotels plus an apartment during our holiday, all in major towns or cities; this was the lowest quality & the most expensive.
Continental breakfast was very nice.
No coffee/tea making facilities or opportunity to obtain drinks from hotel. Room smelt of damp.
almost everything, clean room, nice personal, good place near the city centre
limited check-in hours (only 14-17)
Bad odour in the room and in the bathroom.
Staff, rooms and breakfast were really perfect. Location were good, it's not too close to there center but this is good it's quite, but also it's not so far from center it's almost 5 mins by walk, so you can reach everywhere easily, like center or like free parking lot
simple to find . late arrival info send and checked we had received ok . would recommend as easy walking distance to centre of bruges....
Inexpensive, within walking distance of town center. Breakfast not bad.
Worst bed I have ever slept in -- could feel the springs in the mattress. No ventilation in the room, very warm.
The breakfast was lovely. The staff were fantastic. The back garden was gorgeous.
The wifi did not connect in the room and thua we had to connect in the lobby. The walls were very thin.
Clean & spacious room Beds were comfortable Able to check in after hours w/passcode Accessible parking
The location is really not as central as it sounds Breakfast is extremely limited (even by European budget hotel standards) Staff were not rude, but also not particularly helpful or engaged
- The reception staff was very friendly - The location is okay, within walking distance of the major sites, although the area around the hotel isn't great - The price is okay, but given the problems not great
- The main issue: the room has a horrible sewer smell which is unbearable in the bathroom. It feels dirty and unhygienic and I was worried about my health - The room was also very loud, with both noise from the other residents and the street filtering through very clearly - The staff isn't available throughout the day. My WiFi stopped working the afternoon and there was no one to assist me All in all the cons far outweigh the pros and the price and I can't recommend this hotel at all.
-The room we stayed in was a good size for 5 people.
We booked a room at Hotel Montovani and indicated on our booking that we would be arriving late. We have done this at many hotels and have been contacted about a pin number to get in (if one was needed). We arrived that Friday night and were locked out. In the end we were forced to find another hotel at a much higher rate in the middle of the night. The next morning when we went to the hotel we were told by Vicky that a pin number was sent to our email. There was in fact an email which had gone directly to spam. The email asked for us to contact the hotel to confirm that we had received it. The hotel did not bother to follow up when they did not hear from us. They then refused to give us our first nights payment back. They said it was our fault for not checking our spam. The hotel could have tried to call us or could have contacted booking.com when they did not hear from us. I was absolutely shocked at the lack of understanding and the terrible customer service. Even booking.com tried to help us get our money back and Hotel Montovani refused! Unfortunately, we were forced to stay in the hotel the second night of our booking as we could not find another in the area that was not booked. Other issues then included: -Occasional smells of sewage in the rooms and in the breakfast area. -Wifi that did not work. -Poor reception hours. -When there was someone working there was an alarm going off for well over an hour in an adjacent room and the man working said he could not help us. We had to knock on the adjacent room door until the gentleman staying in that room woke up and shut off his alarm.
Vicky was lovely, really welcoming and helpful at all times. It was easy enough to walk into town. Having a shared lounge was great as we could put the children to bed with the monitor on and sit next door without waking them, but still near enough for it to feel safe.
There was the tiniest bit of mould on the tile grout, but the bathroom was spotless, so it didn't put us off.
Horrible wi fi
Great reception lady. Very helpful.
