This centrally located hotel is within 320 yards of Brussels' central Grand Place and an 8-minute walk from the Central Train Station. Hotel Opera has a 24-hour front desk, a tour desk and free Wi-Fi....
Score from 976 reviews Good
Perfect location, close to the train station, close to Grand Place. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Hotel is pretty rustic. Attractive decor, but amenities are lacking. Phone didn't work in the room. I walked all the way up multiple flights of stairs, twisting and turning hallways, got to my room...and the wifi password wasn't written down anywhere, and I couldn't call the front desk to get it. For this price, you can get modern business amenities.
This hotel was way too loud, poor location. We didn't sleep at all.
Three things: 1- Good internet signal 2- Good location 3- Good receptionist behavior
Everything else: 1- Bad lighting of rooms 2- Wanted to share my room with other guest 3- Bad matrices and uncomfortable 4- The flush-box was not working till I complained. In a matter of speaking it was terrible.
Location and decor.
Breakfast was bland.
breakfast - very poor internet - quite slow sigle room No. 133 - very very small
location, atmosphere of the hotel
Although I requested quiet room booking the hotel 4 months in advance, we got the room which was facing to the street which was busy till 5 am.
Staff were pleasent, loved the decor and youre only a 1 minute walk from Grand Place and only 5 mins from Central Station
The Breakfast was terrible, the room ceiling height was about 1.5m, it was ridiculous!
We enjoyed the location and beautiful decorations and interior. The staff was kind and helpful.
The rooms are very different standard, had to change from one with a window facing a dark corridor where people passed constantly - got a fine room in the end. Cleaning could be improved.
very close to Grand Place and restaurants. Central Rail Station at a distance of 200m and good access to public transport including metro in 5 minutes walk. Reasonable prize
the structure needs of some maintenance. Hotel not suitable for old-aged people or people with some motorial difficulties due to the need of going up and down using narrow stairs, in particular for reaching the breakfast room
Just poor throughout, breakfats consisted of a croissant and a brown roll, no cereal, no toast, nothing hot
The service at the reception desk is not friendly nor very polite. There's not Internet connection in the rooms although the hotel claims they provide such. Any requests addresssed to the receptionists remain in vain. The hotel is extremely noisy as of a number of nearby pubs and discos but the worst part is that nobody cares.
Location. Center of Brussels. Really good if you don't have a car, really NOT good if you DO. Desk staff are alternately brusque and nice. The quirkiness of the layout means it is difficult to carry luggage to your room.
Location. Because it is central it is also central to all the noise. Even on an interior exposure, bar noise and street fights can keep you all night. The bedside lamp cord does not reach the outlet and there are no lightbulbs in the lamps. The desk person did not seem surprised when we asked for lightbulbs. Dimly lit, lumpy beds. 120Euros for a single!
Location is good
Very noisy, unpolite staff, very small, uncomfortable rooms, breakfast with bread and butter only, absolutly no value for 120 €. I don't recommend
The location is amazing, right in the middle of Brussels near Grand Place, but our room was silent all night. Enjoyed the quirky decoration. We had a triple room for 2 so we had plenty of space; not sure what the double rooms are like. Breakfast was small with just 2 rolls, cheese, jam and coffee, but tasty and satisfying.
The room was a bit drafty and one of the windows came open at one point. Bathroom was small, but that's to be expected in such an old building.
The location is perfect. Right next to Grand Place and Central Station. The reception polite. For its price is a good hotel in an excellent position.
The room was on the side of the street where a bar is. Three different really ugly fights took place during the night making sleep impossible.
Excellent location very close to Grand Place, restaurants, tourist sights and easy walking distance of Central Station with fast connection to airport. Quirky Arabic decor is fun.
Very limited choice of breakfast. Bedroom carpet needed good cleaning and renovation well due.
Dirty - leftover items from previous guest (preservative, etc. in drawer; medicament documents in cabinet, fodd rests on floor) Noisy on street side (late night tourists shouting - due to the street being one of most favourite Greek restaurant street; early collection of litter, etc.)
Room on street was unbearably noisy. No Wi-Fi, no working TV, minimal breakfast, only just clean.
Location very central and breakfast ok.
Hotel, poor room, damp smell no heating, TV not working, man on reception unhelpful, far too expensive, need a map to get to breakfast, should be two star at best. Seek better options if you can or have low expectations.
The hotel's internal decoration, the narrow alleys, the impressive colourful walls, the sound of the water fountains.
The noise in rooms on the Rue Marchais du Fromages, of the opposite nightclub which does not let you sleep, espcially the people who frequent this place who are very noisy. The lack of confort in rooms.
- location is excellent, all the tourist attractions are very close - transport connection very good - beautiful interior, colours, pictures, sculptures, lighting etc. were stunning - extra delicious breakfast (croissant, baguette, cheese, butter, jam, orange juice, tea or coffee) -very kind and helpful staff
- dark room even the light was on - our room was not a normal room, supposed to be built originally not for guest room, and it was absolutely different from what we have seen on the website
The decoration on the inside, The location, the breakfast that is included for a cheap price.
Staff is a little cold and the keys they give you is way too big to put in your pocket.
Hotel situated very close to Grand Place and to the Central Station.
Could not sleep because of the noisy surroundings late in the night. My room was supposed to be on the first floor. However, it actually was on the third floor! Moreover, I had to pass through a labyrinth of corridors to reach my room. I found a used towel in the shower room and the toilet had not been cleaned. The reception of the very few TV stations available was very bad. Breakfast was rather poor.
perfect!!! Lovely hotel!!!
I like the wonderful atmosphere in the hotel and its location.
the net was poor in our flat!
