Newhotel Charlemagne

The location was great for a weekend trip in Brussels. Near the Schuman metro and train station. Very clean and comfortable room.

Our room's decoration was not updated. The building needs work, humidity is really present on the walls. Hotel is ok only if there is a price offer!

Very old. Central heating very low. The relation quality-price is very poor. Too expensive!!!! I do not recommend this hotel to nobody.

The room was quiet and the bed was very good.

There was no kettle in the room to make some tea/coffee; whenever I switched on the heater, it blew warm air in the beginning but later it started blowing cool air which was unpleasant. There was no pen/pencil and note paper in the room.

Possibilities for car parking reservation

Location in the middle of the EU quarter, near to metro etc. Weekend rates are very good value. Comfortable and quiet.

I thought that the star rating of this hotel was above the standard I experienced. Air conditioning was advertised but not present. Internet facilities were quite costly.

If anything "Newhotel" is not the appropriate name for this hotel. The (single) elevator is old and slow, the walls have seen better days, and the room itself needs a lot of improvements. I asked for a room for a family of 4 (with a baby) and got a twin bed and a mattress (Ok, Two mattresses one atop the other). There is no air conditioning (and it was very hot). The parking is in a smelly garage.

Everything was a bit small and very old, the bathroom was smelly, no airco.

excelent discount rate, friendly staff, the room was big, with a beautiful view of brussels, with modern furniture and bathroom. Though we got a big discount, we were given an excelent treatment

only one day, the cleaning staff woke us up very early in the morning, although we placed the "do not disturb" sign.

The room was very adequate. Large, Clean and spacious. Cleaned well daily with adequate supply of Towels, Toiletries etc that u would expect from a 4* hotel. Hotel front desk staff was also friendly.

The telephone in my room was not working throughout my stay (4 nights) and no attempt was made to fix it. Really poor service! Also there was no free internet and the charges were atrocious!!
