At the time of our stay there was a big scaffold to the rear elevation with workmen carrying out works. The hotel staff agreed for us to move to a different part of the building and they upgraded us to a much larger room for no extra money. We liked the proximity to the station that enabled us to explore the nearby cities of Brussels and Bruge. Overall we had a great time during our 4 day stay.
We did not get a baby cot and there was not one available when we arrived. Am not sure if it's a booking.com fault or the hotel's but someone would assume that if 1 year old is to stay at the hotel, then surely has to sleep somewhere. My wife suggested that in all future bookings we put the cot under special requests Luckily we had one in the car, so no major setback. We did not taste their breakfast either because at 20 euros per person we felt it was not worthy.
We were double booked so had to move to sister location in ghent. Staff were happy to help and offered a free taxi ride for us to reach the other hotel.
Great Breakfast Comfortable beds Spacious room Internet that actually worked
Dirty bathroom with Ceiling paint flaking off. Room was hot. Eggs at breakfast were runny like soup
tv 2 kanalen enkel te ontvangen
The very welcoming reception from staff on arrival. The "feel" of the hotel, calm but friendly. I greatly appreciated the many options for breakfast including gluten-free bread as I am coeliac and hotel continental breakfasts can be difficult if they offer only a bread and cereal based meal.
We only had one night to stay.
brilliant breakfast, spacious lobby for brief meetings
toddlersize toilet with loose seat, refusal checkout time Sunday, no coffee, view
good bed, very good breakfast
bathroom was a bit old but clean.
gd location several minutes walk from station & busstop to centre & sights.
Large spacious rooms
Free morning coffee in the lobby was not there as advertised. Rooms were dirty. Renovations underway were not advised at time of booking. One room had a broken window pane and dripping shower
Helpful staff Very comfortable bed Quiet room
Shower room - bit dark and a few suspicious marks on ceiling - mould?
- very spacious - good availability
Very good breakfast Near the train station Free WiFi
One of the lights was burned. Minor problem.
very bad windows. You hear all noise from the street.
Good location in relation to the train station. Very nice and comfortable room.
Large rooms. Hotel is in a quiet area close to the main train station. Would stay here again if I were to return to Ghent.
Free WiFi is throttled. You have to pay extra to get it at full speed. Didn't try the breakfast but at 17 euro it just seemed overpriced. Location is about 20 min walk to centre (if you're a fast walker ;) ).
Good Breakfast, but to expensive. All without problems.
Too poor wifi connection, in hotels this category must be wifi fast and free as standard...
We thought the staff were incredibly helpful. The room was quite spacious and even had a mini fridge. Neat and tidy although a little but older property.
We could sometimes hear our neighbours pushing a chair or bed on the floor above. Things were overall a little run down but still tidy and clean.
Very clean. Lovely breakfast, the staff very very helpful.
The Wifi speed was really slow.
Room was quiet and fairly good size. Location is perfect for railway station and reasonable walk to centre of town. Good bus and tram routes from outside the hotel. There is a secure room for bike storage.
The breakfast was pretty average. I'd have expected better in that class of hotel. Hotel reception is smart and rooms are decent but corridors to rooms could do with a spruce up. Room 209 had its key card lock missing so we were provided with a conventional key (after going up to the room and realising the lock was missing)
Breakfasts were very variable during our stay.
NH Belfort was clean, the staff polite and the location couldn't be better. In the end we were happy to be transferred to Belfort instead.
We were told that we were transferred to another location at our arrival. Good thing though that the prices shown on booking stayed the same.
Very bad hotel. You could hear everything between the rooms. On a busy street. Need upgrading.
The hotel felt very spacious and looked modern and fresh. The bedroom was large and the daily tidy up was done efficiently. We came back to a light, neat space with new toiletries each day. The staff were helpful. It was quiet-little noise from other guests in corridors or from the road made it into the bedroom.
Paying a lot for car parking. But probably it's as usual for a city location?
Staff responded promptly to some initial mix up with the reservation and room condition.
