In the heart of historic Bruges within just a 3-minute walk from the central Market Square and the Belfry of Bruges, the Hotel Boterhuis includes free Wi-Fi access, an on-site bar and a terrace.
Score from 1386 reviews Excellent
Martin’s Brugge is just behind the famous 13th-century Belfry and 185 yards from the Grote Markt. It has a terrace and a cocktail bar, and all rooms have a flat-screen TV.
Score from 2430 reviews Very good
This hotel features a combination of modern design and medieval architecture in the center of the city, only half a mile from the centrally located Market Square and the Belfry of Bruges.
Score from 1069 reviews Good
the hotel is relatively close to the center, just a few minutes walk with nice views. the room was big, we even had sofa next to the bed. wifi worked fine during the night, however it did slow down in the morning.
for this price they could include breakfast.
Being charged a fee upon arrival - this should have been made clear before
Clean room, REALLY comfortable bed, very quiet.
staff hospitality shower power cleanliness and comfort of the room and bathroom
everyday same breakfast menu need to go down to reception for additional amenities, no delivery distance in not in city center, but still within walking distance to center and station at the same time.
Situation of hotel.
Excellent selection at the breakfast buffet. Free wifi throughout the hotel. Really good for a 3 star, I would stay here again.
3.50 euros for a small bottle of water from the fridge was ridiculous......however there is a supermarket over the road that is much more reasonable.
Hygiene, facilities and helpfulness of the desk staff.
For a higher class hotel, vegetarian choices on your menu are shameful. Vegan options are non existing! As a pregnant vegetarian guest I was unpleasently suprised that for Christmas Eve I had nothing to eat. There has been improvised mozarrela salad with french fries but that is hardly any nutritios food especially on Christmas Eve and especially for a pregnant woman. On top of this we got cheese and olives as a snack before meal that was uneadable as it was left on a room temperature for hours. We did mention our food preferences to the waiter so he was fully aware. At that moment there were more waiters than guests at the restaurant so it wasn't busy and the waiter could have at least checked with the chef what options are possible.
Lovely clean airy and roomy rooms! Very pleasant staff. Fantastic location, just a very pleasant walk up to the Markt Place.
Visited in December and hotel is just a short walk from old town and bustling Christmas Markets, tourist attractions and a multitude of restaurants to suit all tastes. Rooms are a good size with very comfortable beds, additional internal door made for a quiet environment. Breakfast buffet is rather expensive but an excellent selection of food was available every day. Special mention for staff who went extra mile to make me a sandwich late at night when I was recovering from migraine which resulted in me missing a couple of meals with family that day. Had a super break and planning the next stay already.
Would be nice to have china cups in room rather than paper ones but we had read previous reviews and took our own. Other than that really nothing to critise at all.
The Location is great, good breakfast, car park next door, staff were really friendly and helpfull, we enjoyed the visit.
Expensive bottled water in the room, supermarket on the otherside of road, so much cheaper.... Parking in city is expensive, there is a car park next door, 9 euros for 24hrs which was good value...
Hotel very central easy to get to and from the markets and museums everyone was really helpful and friendly
Easy to get to great that the car park is next door
The hotel is clean & friendly. Perfect location, only ate breakfast in the hotel but this was really good & a great selection of food
Tea & coffee facilities in the room were a bit poor!
The hotel is in a fabulous position for sight seeing and the rooms were quiet and comfy with a nice King size bed.
Having to wait for bar service. The bar over the square in the Ibis hotel was far nicer and had great staff.
Excellent hotel in an ideal location, with parking. Would recommend to anyone :-)
Good location, near a mini market and some reasonable bakeries. Meanwhile almost other shops in town were very expensive, they were quite acceptable for backpackers. It is also very near the historical centre of city.
Although the prices for rooms here were competitive for a weekend (other hotels were extremely expensive!), it was still high for just a basic hotel.
A centrally located hotel. Not the cheapest but for location it was ideal. We did not use any other facilities such as the restaurant as other services are immediately to hand. The car park is immediately below and at €9 a day is good value.
€20 per head for breakfast was, in our view excessively expensive so we walked to Carrefour for croissants and coffee from a local cafe was a fraction of the cost.
The staff were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. the room was very nice, lovely hot shower in the bathroom and the mini fridge was a nice touch with the water. Would definitely stay again. Also not far to walk into the town.
I can't think of anything !!!
Location. Ease, location and cost of car parking. Comfort. Breakfast selection. Checked in when arrived at lunchtime & check out before 12 next day. Quiet rooms.
Small thing, but only 2 paper cups for tea/coffee in rooms - hope this idea doesn't catch on. So if you bring your own coffee/tea, bring your own mugs too.
Welcoming, helpful staff. Excellent location to City centre. Great restaurant, especially good "all you can eat " breakfast. Good selection of free TV channels. and useful WiFi.
Small points, but disappointed with the threadbare cushions in room. Stupid little bedside tables which are so easy to knock over.
Situated just out of the main part of town so quieter and with easy access parking underground for a small charge. It may lack the character of May city hotels but was ideal for our short break. Would stay again.
For the price I can not find any fault.
Staff were very friendly and professional. We didn't have breakfast there we had dinner and the food was good, as was the service.
At check in they tried to ringfence 200 euros on our credit card, even though the total price of the rooms was only 180 euros. This apparently is policy. Basically, they think you are going to eat there and run off without paying the bill. I find this approach offensive and eventually they let us just pay the taxes on the room but we couldn't put anything down to the room and had to go to reception to pay after every meal. We've never had this problem staying at Novotel in France and it soured the experience. Pity because the staff couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant. Cleanliness of the sink (waste overflow and area around the plug) was not good but as it was otherwise ok we didn't complain at the time.
Situation and size of room.
Paper cups! Would have thought proper china mugs when paying 'superior' price. Plus more than one coffee strip. Staff were not really friendly, professional but no smile or welcome.
