Helpful staff - I arrived late and they ensured restaurant re-opened to serve some supper. Rooms clean, quiet and comfortable. A bit of a walk in the 'wrong ' direction from the town - was a bit far for exploring things on a whim.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Appreciated the extra space for the third bed. Hotel was difficult to find as the building at ground level was not well marked. After driving around a few times we finally saw the sign above the building as the sun was going down.

It is rather expensive for what it is. The bar/restaurant was under staffed.

Very comfortable and clean room, excellent bed as well. The quietness in the room was a pleasant surprise - despite the busy street. The friendly staff made the check-in and check-out go smooth and fast.

Clean modern rooms. Very comfortable & well laid out. Excellent shower.10 out of 10 TV was really good & nice to have BBC channels for this UK traveller. Great location for my purposes. 5 minutes walk from the train station & shops/bars. No iron or ironing board in the room which I would expect for the price I paid (although I booked a Superior Room with 1 Double Bed and 1 Single Bed" for 1 Night as this was all that was available). Maybe there are cheaper rooms. No free wi-fi. Again for the price I would expect this to be included. Breakfast is also extra & at 20 euros is quite expensive. I chose not to have breakfast. Toilet is separate from Bathroom & no sink in the toilet area so you have to leave the toilet & go in to the bathroom before you can wash your hands.

The room was very nice, not big, but had everything one needs. Bathroom is small but nice design and good shower. Toilet is separate (positive) When we arrived we noticed that the babybed that was placed in the room was broken, so I went to the reception to ask to replace it. (This was around 8pm). The receptionist said she would take care of it, after which we went out for dinner with friends. Upon arrival, after midnight, the same broken bed was still in the room. I went back down, and the night receptionist gave another bed within 5 minutes.

Rooms were nice and clean. Hotel is a ten minute walk from the train station. Internet was not free (10 euros per day). Check in was slow. Minibar overpriced. Tried to order room service and was told the kitchen was too busy so I had to walk 1km back to the train station to find a place to eat.

On the outskirts of the town centre this hotel is typical of Novotel with consistently good service, room size, comfort and cleanliness, 3*+ quality. Limited street parking, a good 15 minute walk into town and small overpriced restaurant. As usual the breakfast and hotel parking are prohibitively priced.

Breakfast eur 20- is unreasonable also compared with price for a dinner for example, which cost normally eur 18- in Leuven. The noise from traffic means that at 6 o'clock it is hard to get rest any longer. Big trucks and busses are running early in the morning which is bad. The windows in the hotel are double glaze and should be special noise reducing type; bad engineering! Johny Liebst, Denmark

Staff were courteous, efficient and helpful. Room was very clean and functional. The location of the hotel was ideal for access to train station as well as shopping forays. There appeared to be a restraint on the number of tea bags and coffee allowable in bedrooms!

Staff were very helpful. The restaurant only seems to serve ready meals/frozen pizzas. I paid €12.50 for a Dr Oetker pizza - not great. Hotel is fine if a little far from the centre - especially if raining.

Many years since I've stayed in a Novotel and I was very pleasently surprised by the quality of the place. The bedroom was immaculate, and the breakfasts fantastic. What really made the stay very enjoyable though was the staff. From the beginning at reception, to the breakfast room and to the young knowledgable barman, the staff were excellent. My guess is that the Novotel brand majors on staff training and awareness. Their approach to the customer really puts some of the so called five star hotels to shame. Takes about 20 mins to walk to the centre of Leuven but I was aware of this in advance and in truth if I hadn't dawdled I could have done it in 15. Equally I could have called a cab!

The staff was horrible, unfriendly and rude. We have asked for 2 extra pillows and the receptionist was so amazed that someone might ever need two extra pillows that it made us feel like we are the weird. At one night after a long day, retiring to the hotel we went to the coffee table to get some water and the receptionist, again the same horrible guy, literally ran after us and made sure we are aware that the coffee and tea are for the conferences alone and not for the guests. I would expect to get breakfast for a price of 600 euros for 4 nights, or at the least a cup of coffee. I would not recommend staying the the leuven novovtel hotel for anyone who doesn't look to being treated like he's being given a favor of staying there and the money he paying is stones. There are finer hotel in leuven with much better service, Which are cheaper and provide nicer staff and feeling.

Spijtig
