Novotel Brussels Off Grand Place  

People at the reception just trying to make you pay as much as you can. They provided false information at the check-in saying breakfast is included and did it explicitely, so that just we have no doubt that it is so.. at the end you've got to pay more and they refused to admit their lie.

Just Great Location

The rooms are really small and not family size, even deluxe room is maximum 15 square meter ( in booking.com mentioned that it is 28 square meter ) although the reception people told me that all the rooms in hotel is the same except that in Deluxe rooms the bath has renovated.Poor sound proof rooms specially in the early morning with garbage truck symphony! Breakfast just serve up to 9:30 AM and if you are 5 minute late the breakfast room staffs will be really mad at you.Poor minibar in the room which there is nothing other than water & cola and beer.Toilet and bath are far from each other and the bath door is open directly in the middle of the room.The safe box in the room is working with the key card of the room which I believe it is not logical. Internet is accessible in the lobby but just for 20 minute intervals which is too short as you may loose your data during re-connections.

It was central and close to my business arrangements.

The breakfast and the internet connection was extremely expensive and it was not included in the expensive room fee. I cannot really recommend this place because of the extreme price level.

The fact that all major interesting sites are extremely nearby.

Design

Great location! Parking garage next door (be careful if the steps are wet!) is very convenient; great restaurants nearby, as well as shopping and sightseeing.

Room 507 is the pits! The carpet and towels felt like sandpaper and the shower was the worst set up I've ever experienced. The shower head has very weak pressure, and the water falls within 12" from the wall and cannot be adjusted - it can only be held in your hand in order to be moved around but this is less than ideal. This room was extremely overpriced and not a good value at all. Our friends in room 320 had a much better experience. I do not recommend room 507. Shame on the Novotel for charging so much $$.

I loved the location, within walking distance from great sights and food. It was also family friendly, with an in-room sofa bed that catered for the whole family.

I really enjoyed the location of the hotel as it was easy access to where I needed to be during my stay. The hotel was always very clean and the staff were also always greeted me with a smile whenever I came in. I had a small issue when I checked in and the staff were brilliant in helping me to solve it and get comfortable.

Had a small issue with the bed in my room when I checked in and had to change rooms twice. I didn't like that I had to get the user/password from the reception desk and log in every 24 hours. There are definitely easier systems which can be implemented - making it much more user friendly and accessible for guests.

Best location to stay in Brussels

Close distance from Railway and the city at the same time and at a OK price.

It could get warm in the room. Need alternatives for a duve.

Location and cleanliness

Clean and well located (between the Grand Place and the Central Station). The size of the rooms were excellents.

Great location and nice well stocked rooms, mini bar, safe etc

Only nagative is a bit noisy at night from the street outside, but not too bad and to be expected in such a prime location
