the location, the staff, cleanliness, breakfast...everything
the noises at night - not just from the street but especially from the people talking loudly at night - the walls are very thin!
Close to the center and the subway station, nice guys working at the front desk
Breakfast is very low quality. Loud street, which was by the window did not allow for good sleep. Linens, pillows also very uncomfortable, the room was the size of pencil-box
The location is excellent, right near Delirium Cafe and a few blocks via pedestrian streets to Grand Place. I had no problems with the cleanliness, facilities, etc. But there were nothing to write home about either.
There was a lot of street noise, a drawback of the location. But the hotel windows don't block the noise well. Also the cleaning staff play music in the morning and the walls are so thin they might as well put a speaker in your room. The breakfast was poor. The orange juice tasted like Tang, a few kinds of bread, and bitter, burnt coffee. When I added an extra night the price was 79€ and this hotel is simply not worth that even with the great location.
Excellent location, no need to use transport to visit the main hotspots in Brussels and comfortable
Bathroom, no tea making facilities
The room was clean with comfortable beds. The hotel is in the city centre, just few steps from the Grande Place and the metro station. Breakfast was ok with a good choice of things (bread, jam, coffee, milk, cereals, eggs, salami and cheese). More than enough for a two stars hotel!! Staff is nice and helpful.
Triple room was a bit small and unfortunately it faced right on the street. It was too hot to keep the window closed so we heard big noise from outside during the night and until early morning.
wifi, cleaningness, location, price
location, breakfast included, price,
The receptionist is very warm and friendly, provides route suggestion
The separation of dry and wet toilet is particularly poor
The price point and location.
Wifi was spotty. Bathroom shower does not have glass doors.
Staff was very good Location excellent Bathroom was big and beautiful
Wifi broke but may be this was incidental They should improve beddings and then it would be really good choice
Staff was cold and unfriendly; kind of typical about Belgians having stayed in the country before. Location was very noisy, could not sleep at night No basic facilities such a kettle to make tea Elevator too small We booked a larger room but got a smaller one; had choice unless we chose to wait for 2 more hours
Location was good, breakfast content was good.
Thin walls (which I have to say is something you will find with most older hotels in Brussels). Plastic sheets between bed linen and mattress to mitigate against bed wetting was uncomfortable. Breakfast room was a bit small resulting in some congestion and queueing and difficulty in getting to the drinks and cereals which were located on the passageway in and out.
Perfect location, 2 minutes away from metro and walking distance to Grand Place and Rue Neuve. Surrounded by restaurants
Good central location, wifi easy to access, excellent value for money.
The central location means you can hear quite a bit of noise overnight.
Staff and location
B'fast always the same and little choice, room too small, wi-fi most of the time not working. Too noisy outside the hotel at night.
no air conditioning noisey if window open
It should to be cleaner
The hotel is very well placed in the low city, which is the main historical area. There are a lot of restaurants near, the area is very safe.
The Internet did not work properly.
Easy to walk to all sites, parking close by, nice rooms with views of the city, nice staff
Breakfast was crowded and minimal, no A/C for hot sticky summers
Location close to attractions. Good value for money. Very helpful staff.
A bit noisy (our room was at the front of the hotel - a back room may have been quieter.) Wi-Fi didn't always work.
The location, it is cheaper but not value for money
Extremely noisy, could not sleep most nights and tired all day. Staff unfriendly and cold (typical about Belgium). We reached early and there was no room ready. Not complaining about that but the room we got at first was not even cleaned. Had to request cleaning. Staff does not communicate at all. Stayed for 2 days, but we cud not avail the complimentary breakfast due to travel plans. So we requested for breakfast the day we arrived from paris in the morning. They refused. Washroom is poor. Very small rooms and smallest elevator. No kettle to prepare tea or coffee. It is good for backpackers who want a place in the city to keep luggage and just rest for few hours but not sleep. Stuffy rooms and narrow beds.
