We enjoyed our stay here. It was very well located; easy walking distance to most important sites. The hotel was clean, comfortable and had very courteous and helpful staff.
Nothing worth mentioning.
Close proximity to town square, shops and restaurants, without the busy streets. Interior of hotel could be labelled a little dated, but was in harmony with the feel of Bruges. Canal view room. Secure parking underground close by was reasonably priced.
It was a little touch of luxury, as a small hotel it was not spoilt by commercialism, the staff were incredibly efficient and courteous. The male receptionist was supremely helpful. The brief stay was made all the more special because of the hotel
Very little, some small touches to fixtures and fittings would improve the cosmetic appearance but nothing was sufficiently an issue to spoil the hotel
The location was brilliant - quiet but very near all the sights.
Hotel is a bit tired, decor-wise. But everything functioned well. The slight shabbiness added to the atmosphere. Wonderfully large room and lovely view of the canal, as requested.
Staff was excellent, they were all so nice and professional, one of the best service experiences in my trips (+23 countries). Hotel is in a quiet zone but very close to the city center. There is a bus stop to/from the train station less than 100 mts from the Hotel.
Our double bed consistrd of 2 twin beds together so it was not very comfortable. In addition, we expected our room to be more in line with the photos at the website (more elegant), but it turned out to be different and not special. Although the room had good size.
Very comfortable bed, large spacious room. Great location easy walk to the main square. Also places for breakfast very near. Parking available allbeit a short distance away.
Despite paying for a canal view we couldn't see it from our room as the windows were too high! Wifi wasn't good enough to stream a movie
Our stay was definitely amazing. Diether at the reception was like an angel - helped us on all our needs and answered all our inquiries with courtesy - very friendly. He upgraded our room from a standard double to the family room coz of our son which was very nice. We didnt get the canal view but we got the garden view with the terrace which i think was better. It was a beautiful experience - living in a 17th century hotel. Definitely worth a second trip.
Wifi could be better and breakfast couldve added more choices - hot chocolate couldve been nice.
good location,beautiful room
*wi-fi was not working in our room *main lamp was broken *no slippers in the room *shower pipe was broken
Martin's Relais is a gem. Quaint, comfortable and full of antique furniture best describes it. Breakfast is excellent, comprising a continental buffet, plus bacon, sausages and scrambled eggs. Fried eggs available on demand. We're planning to return next year !
We got the double-room with canal view, really loved it. Very spacious, high ceilings, big bathroom. Very personable hotel with a great breakfast that's well worth the money. Good location too. Happy to recommend.
Minor things like slow and a bit temperamental wifi. No other big complaints really.
I was a wonderful trip
Old style building, lots of charm. Perfect for visiting an old, wonderful city. Great staff.
Breakfast a bit expensive, but optional.
Location just around the corner from main square Traditional decor Bar area was like sitting in a salon Lovely building Helpful staff
The beds were two twins pushed together
Beautiful room , lovely bathroom, fantastic location
Would have liked breakfast included
location, staff are all good. Good breakfast too. nice and cozy quite place.
Wi-Fi reception was weak in the room.
Excellent location Beautiful view of canal Very polite and helpful staff Lovely building, very tidy and classic
Breakfast not included Possibly over-priced Not obvious pool or health suite I expressed that this was a romantic (engagement) trip and no additional extras provided.
room with canal view in 2level is not so good
Historical collection of buildings- rambling corridors and creaking staircases. Comfortable public and personal rooms
Nice and central; lots of attractions in walking distance. An historic old house with wandering corridors provides a taste of old Brugge. Clean & tidy; with pleasant staff who speak good English. Nice little bar with an outside courtyard and a sunken garden to enjoy a local beer. Breakfast served in pleasant room with lots of choice. Very Good
No tea & coffee making facilities in our room (2) but other guests said they did have them. Make it all or none!
Loved the old world charm, country antiques and beautiful oriental rugs.
Brunch was pricey.
Clean comfortable room.
It was pouring rain and the hotel did not have umbrellas. Only one person on duty to help with drinks and registration and questions.
Rooms were too hot and the air con only went down as low as 16 degrees
I really liked the location of this property as well as the fantastic rooms. The property is located on various buildings connected each others and this the trait that makes this property unique. The room was bright and clean with wooden walls and big windows. The staff was very nice, especially Frederick who provided us with a lot of information about the city.
The location is great,on a beautiful and quiet canal. The house is beautiful...
I paid 190 Euros for a garden view room, as the canal view rooms were sold out. When I arrived, to my horror, I did not have a view of the garden, but the entrance, with a big bush in front of the window, the reception right outside. The room was tiny, it was hard to get around the bed. The bathroom was tiny with a bad shower. Both were dark and cold and miserable. I think it was terrible to charge me the same amount as someone with a real garden view. Perhaps the hotel should charge more for true canal and garden views, and correspondingly less for dark basement and entrance view rooms. Or instead of mulling the beauty of Bruges, one ends up upset about the unfairness of life.
service was good . room was large and bed very comfy.breakfast adequate but not spectacular.
Didn't like the restaurant that was suggested to us . it seemed that everyone in the hotel was suggested the same restaurant . clearly a deal between hotel and restaurant that we didn't know about. Also not told that we couldn't exit Brugge as there was a fun run taking place, very frustrating and we missed our ferry as a result.
