We love the hotel and would definitely go back. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The lobby with the fireplace was a nice welcome back after a long day.
Everything was great
Location was fine
Dated and expensive
Receptionist was very welcoming and helpful.
Bed was extremely uncomfortable, made it very difficult to sleep. Bruges is a great place to visit and explore therefore we spent very little time in the hotel. Didn't sleep well when we were in so definitely don't think it was worth the money.
Great location. Family size room overlooking the garden area was huge and peaceful. Nice breakfast room with a perfect view on the canal.
The handheld shower in the tub required one to sit in order to wash up and rinse.
Location is the very best Brugges may provide..
Need 3 staff members to figure out why TV is not working
Great location, friendly staff
Comfortable, warm and quiet hotel in an excellent position. The staff were charming and helpful.
The pillows in our room (25) were old and uncomfortable.
Our room was spacious, bed was comfortable and liked having English speaking television channels. Also, hotel is close to market.
Paying for parking and poor lighting in bathroom.
I chose this hotel for my husband and I because of the authentic European look it had on pictures. That was exactly what we received, a classy, authentic feel. Breakfast is lovely, very elegant and tasty. The room was heated well when we received it, there was a jug of water for the guests in the lobby, we received our room at 9am which was super convenient.
We liked everything.
Breakfast was a feast.Close to the centre for sightseeing.Security parking close to hotel
Everything but the chambermaid
The chambermaid got in the room 2 times while we were still inside.
Location, high quality of accommodation and above all the excellent staff. Delphine on the front desk went out of her way to help us during our stay. It is the staff who are prepared to provide that extra service that turn a good hotel into an excellent one.
The price of the breakfast - as a result we took breakfast outside the hotel which is not a problem.
location is perfect, room is comfortable, equiped with the antiquarian furniture, nice view to the canal
Location was perfect for exploring-only 5 min walk from the main square and 10 min bus ride to the station. Lots of wonderful architecture, places to see, good food, beer, plenty of chokolate and lace! Lovely surprise to have had a glass of bubbly with breakfast.
Despite Eco policy we were given new towels.
Liked the location and staff. This is a lovely old hotel which is 5 houses put together so a little quirky. Staff were lovely and it was really well located near the centre of Bruges.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Our family room was great, really big and comfortable.
We had a very unpleasant experience with racists comments from the owner or employe at the Haagen Dazs. At the Brugge Markt.
The hotel is in a fantastic location, positioned just off the central markt. The staff were great and the hotel was lovely, very suited to its surroundings. We were on our first anniversary and enjoyed a 3 night winter break, we would definitely stay at this hotel again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Bruges.
The room was spacious and well decorated, bathroom lovely - a very pleasant place to relax. Breakfast is wonderful, lots of choice and good quality.
The bed pillows - not comfortable when you are used to feather and down!
Excellent position, room 52 was a wonderfully quirky room that was warm, clean and a duplex! Didn't eat there as the hotel is right in the heart of things and should be the excuse to go and sample the food and beer that no doubt attracts you to Bruges in the first place.
If you can't get parking at the hotel, you will need to find an underground car which can be a bit of a walk, but will save you feeding meters constantly.
We were upgraded - room was lovely and quiet with super bathroom, everything spotless and really large comfy bed, plus tea & coffee-making facilities - fab!
Breakfast in house was pricey - but plenty of cafes nearby - and hotel car park was really expensive (public car park same distance away and far cheaper!).
Location is great and a nice small hotel.
Unfortunately we got our canal view room, but they had placed a family with children above us that woke us up each morning by jumping up and down on there floor our ceiling. Not very good and we told them so, no offer to compensate. Disappointed.
Setting of the hotel was good, look and feel was also nice. Walking distance from the town centre.
Need shower curtains or a fixed glass on the bath, as all the water pours out in the bathroom, when u take a shower.
Reception staff, especially Pieter he personally ensured we had reservations in good restaurants for Chistmas eve and Day. Nothing was too much trouble and the other staff were equally courteous and helpful especially with recommendations and information. The room was entirely as requested with a newish and very clean bathroom serviced accordingly. The breakfast options were excellent. and quite conveniently available from 7-11.
Nothing worth mentioning other than a minor point and quite often experienced elsewhere, the water provided for tea was seldom really hot enough to actually brew properly at time of use.
Comfortable rooms, Lovely breakfast, attentive staff
So close to being a fabulous stay - but the hotel is just a little tired, flat atmosphere and what seems to be a lack of attention to detail. In the christmas period (we stayed four nights) it's such a shame, they didn't light the fires, put on some gentle music, just made the stay as welcoming as the interiors! It could be a magical little re-treat!
Location is great: central but quiet. The building is traditional and attractive.
The bed in our room (25) was awful. The bed frame itself was crooked, the mattress was very old and had collapsed at the edges, and when we removed the sheets to see what the problem was, we found it was quite badly stained as well.
