The superb buildings the hotel is housed in and the pleasing decor. Position was very central and convenient.
Our room was never done until well into the afternoon on most of the seven days we were there. Wi-Fi was unpredictable Water from the cold water tap was always warm. Mosquitoes Proximity of noisy bar/cafe across the road. It is obvious this hotel is run on a skeleton staff who although do their best, can't always cope with the large number of people staying there.
Excellent breakfast and location. Room well serviced and comfortable. Stayed four nights and found the hotel very comfortable.
Many staff abrupt and one staff member emailed prior to our arrival ans said my credit card wasn't working and therefore booking not guaranteed. This caused unnecessary stress and the card worked to psych the bill! Rated staff lower because of this unnecessary hassle and because of non response to my written enquiry re this matter.

Car parking is very tight for space Bar is a little lonely feeling / lifeless
the whole bruges experience, complemented by a very good hotel
whats not to like
We liked everything. The location was convenient, a short walking distance to everything. It was comfortable, the breakfast was lovely and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The next time we visit Bruges we will ensure we stay here.
Superbly located quite luxurious hotel with excellent staff and first class breakfast
Getting to the location by car but that is no fault of the hotel it was down to the local authority closing off roads
Everything. Superb hotel experience. Made my stay in Bruges perfect!
I only stayed for 2 days....
Very helpful staff, a beautiful building and a central location within Brugge, make this a perfect hotel to stay in.
No insight parking but this cannot be helped due to the nature of the area. Parking in public car park for €9.00 per 24 hour period.
Breakfast included is good and the food is tasty.
Terrible Wifi service.......as if without Wifi........highly unstable and very weak signal !
Bedrooms were nice, staff were knowledgeable, nice spa area, public areas beautifully furnished
Non existent wi-fi, even in public areas, breakfast selection adequate (anaemic sausages), breakfast not cooked on site (no kitchen), when it ran out, that was it - even though 45 mins left, the one receptionist was also barman and spa attendant! No option of room service (except for breakfast)
Location, the building itself
Staff. Very unfriendly(
3rd time we've stayed here. Perfect location, beautiful building, excellent facilities, staff very good and knowledgable. Breakfast very good.
Gd location Clean Comfortable
Never connect to wifi Breakfast can be more choice.
The wi fi did not work The tv was poor The staff on the front counter we encountered had little heart in what they were doing
Very close to main square
The location, the bedroom comfort, the staff friendliness, breakfast, spa.
Wifi in rooms quite poor and intermittent, parking a tight squeeze,
It was our first trip to Bruges and we were so glad that we chose this hotel! Position was perfect, hotel was comfortable and clean with friendly, helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends.
With the exception of the manager, all the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. 10 out 10 for that. Breakfast choices very good and staff very attentive. All in all a very good hotel and would use it again.
Surely manager, expected to pay 4 euro for the use of a porter. (Never been asked for that in any star rated hotel).
Quiet, beautiful hotel, very good breakfast.
The Wi-Fi was down at that time !
Good location. Elegant ambience in the main hotel. I left some clothing in the room, they graciously offered to mail it to me in Amsterdam, on my credit card.
I was originally put in Room 202. There was an unpleasant sewer smell just outside the room. I entered the room and the odor became more intense, so I turned around and returned to the front desk. The fellow there told me he'd be up to fix it, explaining that the AC just needed water. I told him I would not return to the room, and would like a different room. So then I was put in Room 003 which was accessed by walking outside and through the car park. The new room was adequate, though small. The WiFi did not reach this room.
Friendly helpful staff. luxurious furnishings, excellent location. very impressive will stay again soon.
pub opposite a bit loud into early hours.
Excellent location, very clean and comfortable,
Great atmosphere. Historical ambiance. Romantic. Excellent service
Location cannot be better. It is a beautiful hotel with tons of character. Extremely romantic. Would recommend it to my own mother.
The parking space is way too expensive and limited. The wifi was down for three whole days, which was annoying. They recommended us to use the wifi of their sister hotel beside them, but the point of internet is having access in your room and not in the lobby of a strange hotel. The breakfast was complete but not particularly special given what other 4 star hotels offer.
1) it's in the center of the city 2) bed was good
breakfast was very poor,it's even not a 3 * service. The impression of a hotel from the 80's, does not feel as luxury hotel at all. Hotel has no character. If you on a romantic trip just don't book it
