    Location, price, smallness

Some of the staff were a bit aloof - need to make the guests feel more welcome

Area was close to public transportation and the breakfast in the restarant below was good and with excellent coffee (a little pricey but worth it).

It is a very convenient hotel with friendly staff. The location is also very good.

I have been in this hotel several times but this time the curtains were letting the day light to come through, so I had light in the room at 05:30.

Value for money & great location The design of the room is amazing. I love the concept. The staff is friendly, helpful and most importantly, they can speak english. Location of the hotel is very convenient. It is easy to travel around from there. Besides that, the breakfast is good.

The sheets are a bit sandy. Its probably the material.

    Clean comfortable room Great location

Service in the morning was very poor. Breakfast was supposed to be from 7.00am, but no-one appeared until 7.35am! Also no staff around when I needed to check out 30 minutes later!

    It was available

Functional at heart with a slightly tired designer-style wrapping.

The location was good. Easy walking distance to many nice bars and restaurants. However, it's also in the heart of "party town", so it's very noisy at night. We were on the top floor, facing the street (room 503), and I had to sleep with earplugs!

Dirty! The walls were dirty, the floors were dirty, the bathroom was dirty! Not well kept at all considering this hotel was just recently updated. Also, the sink faucet sprayed everywhere! You would get soaked trying to wash your hands or face! We had room 503, and we should have refused it! I am pretty sure it wasn't the "upgraded" room we paid for. It faced the street, so it was very loud at night. It was also very hot which is strange because it wasn't a hot month and it wasn't hot outside (we went in early May). We would turn up the ac only to find it reset to a very high temp when we came back. The chocolates I bought melted! Also, my husband and I are from fl, so we are good with heat. We usually keep our house at 80. So for me to say this hotel room was strangely hot is a big deal. If you are sensitive to hot temps, don't go to this hotel! Out of all the hotels I stayed at in Europe (even Rome), this was the one I really felt "cheated" on. Not worth what I paid for at all!

We were leaving early Friday morning, so to be sure check out went smoothly, we went to the desk Thursday night. Thankfully we did, because not only did they tell us there would be no one at the desk for check out before 7:30am, but also that their credit card machines had been down for "several days", and we would have to pay with cash. As it was the end of our vacation, we did not have remaining euro and had to go out and find an ATM at 11pm, subsequently paying a number of fees to withdraw money that we would not have had to pay with our travel credit card. No apologies for this inconvenience were offered. In addition, the rooms are loud, as the hallways echo very much so you hear everyone coming in and out of the hotel at all hours.

Probably the best coffee in Brussels + excellent bread = great brekfast! Also, staff very helpful. Excellent location.

The tap opening was so blocked with limestone that the water could barely come out, but that is of course a minor thing.

The location really is fantastic, and it wasn't all that noisy at all.

The deluxe room didn't contain any facilities for drinks (coffee/tea or minibar), and the heavy skylight windows were broken so we couldn't open them to keep our bottled water cool outside. The bed was directly underneath these windows, which made one side so uncomfortably hot that sleep was not possible shortly after sunrise. The decor was no doubt very attractive once, but in May 2014 the quote on the wall was peeling off very badly. The fire escape seemed to be via the broken windows too, which would be extremely hazardous in the event of an emergency. Oh, and the sink was blocked, which made brushing teeth, shaving, and washing faces arduous. I honestly had to check at reception to make sure they'd put us in the correct room, as this was far from my usual experience of deluxe rooms across Europe.
