This is a great hotel. Good value for the money. Friendly bar downstairs. Hosts were very nice.

The landlord and Landlady were extremely pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was sumptious. We went for the WWI Connections and there was plenty to see. Town only 8 miles from Ypres. Hotel ideally situated 100 mtrs from lovely town centre. Nice eating places and very friendly people.

The owners were very friendly and helpful, the rooms spotless, bright and quiet; similarly the bathroom. Beds provided a good night's sleep. Parking outside on a Sunday evening was easy and free. The town itself is lovely and a great place either to stop for the historic sites or en route before or after crossing the Channel. We will certainly stay there again.

Warm welcome with clean and well appointed rooms. In centre of lovely small town. Idea stop over for Dunkirk ferry.

location was good. hotel frontage as in picture and my group enjoyed sitting on front veranda having coffee

sheet did'nt cover bed mattress. no lift, we were on 5th floor, 74yr old mother struggled with stairs. I thought are stay included breakfast. Would recomend as a budget 1 or 2 night stay

The hotel is quite close to the train station, it is situated close to the market square and the shops are near by. The villagers are very friendly. The town is easy to explore and the history surrounding WW1 is easy to access. The train journey to Ypres is regular so we were able to be at Menin Gate for the last post. The two largest war cemeteries are at Poperinge & Ypres so it was easy to find ancestors' grave and headstone.

The only thing that wasn't very good was the smell of cigarettes in the passage ways of the hotel. We didn't have a problem in our room but as soon as you opened your door, it hit you.

I stayed there with 3 friends for 3 nights and we all enjoyed our stay. The restaurant had great food and excellent service. Good breakfast. The landlady was very friendly. We enjoyed the bar which had lots of good beers including many local beers. We had rented bikes and it is a perfect location for bike trips in the area. We had a nice and big room with a nice bathroom on the first floor. Excellent hotel and good value for money.

Stayed here in Poperinge for its proximity to nearby Ypres to spectate on Car Rally Ypres 2012. Only a few kilometers from Ypres and its historical buildings, experience the ceremony of the Last Post at the Menin Gate and handy for visiting ww1 battlefields. Staff very friendly and english speaking (as most Belgians are). Would certainly stay here again. Modernised rooms, great drench shower, and even offered hot eggs in addition to the usual cold meats and cheeses.

Minor point. Bathroom very modern but no shelves at all for putting toiletries on.

The owners of the hotel were so friendly, expecially the landlady. The building is beautiful. The room we stayed in had been recently decorated and was lovely, clean, and comfortable. The function hall has beautiful mosaics all around. The bar area has been kept in its original style and the selection of beers was vast. Probably the most beers in any bar in Pooperinge. A wonderful place to stay and lovely people. What more can I say.

It was situated just right in order to explore the old Great War battle fields, not too far from Ypres (Ieper), and good connections by rail from Brussels. A homely hotel, a homely little town, friendly inhabitants, good food and good beer!

The lady in charge was truly beautiful.

Kamer goed, badkamer uitstekend, vriendelijk personeel, bar met veel soorten bier, gunstig gelegen.

Bereik wifi niet tot kamer op tweede verdieping.

Zeer gastvrije ontvangst en verblijf. De kamer is redelijk ruim en pas gerenoveerd, dus niks op aan te merken. Goed bed en fijne badkamer.

Niet echt een tegenvaller, maar de trappen zijn wat aan de steile kant, dus voor mensen die wat moeiljk ter been zijn, minder geschikt.

De netheid van de kamer, het vriendelijk onthaal, de stilte 's nachts, de goede matras !

Bij het ontbijt werd een eitje besteld en we kregen dat pas wanneer we eigenlijk reeds gedaan hadden met het ontbijt. Voor de rest alles ok.

Zeer vriendelijk en gastvrij personeeel/ eigenaren. Nette kamer.

De prijs van het ontbijt is aan de hoge kant met € 12

Ontvangst was hartelijk. Konden zonder probleem eerder inchecken..
