- breakfast - cleanliness - wi-fi - location
I can say that my only condition to stay in this hotel was that my invoice to be set out as an aggregated amount (see booking.com request), that is, having a total value of 405 EURO, excluding city tax which had to be shown separately in the bill. This thing didn't happen, therefore my financial office charged me with extra 15 EURO. I tried to correct this invoice together with a very kind girl of your staff, and almost was OK apart from the fact that the issued date of the invoice couldn't be the date of my departure (10-12-14) but the date when the bill was modified (11-12-14). If you could help me to solve this issue I will be really grateful to you. For clarifying this situation see also my correspondence send to email address of your hotel . I look forward to your reply. Regards! Fanel Garoafa
Kindness of staff, good room, excellent breakfast
location is good good staff
the hotel is in need of renovation. the room had a smell of stale smoke. will only go there if the hotel has been refurbished
Parking and easy access to main through road. Near to metro and museum park
Public areas a little dated. Only stair access above first floor unattractive. No bar.
Apart from my comment in red my visit was excellent. Thank you.
My single room 403 was a little bit dark. I think the paintwork and furnishings could do with being lighter in colour.
Room was luxurious and very comfortable. The hotel as a whole breathes culture and history. It has a lovely garden, is opposite a quiet park and has good restaurants nearby with easy metro access.
The food from room service took too long and arrived cold.
Virtually everything - especially liked the balcony overlooking the park and the ease of access to the metro system at Merode. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Room very comfortable and clean. Facilities good. Would clearly recommend to others despite my two slightly negative other comments
(1) The cost of breakfast was really too much ... but the Pain Quotidien close by on Rue de Tongres did an excellent breakfast for half the price. (2) Our room didn't have a/c (I don't think that any do) - generally this wouldn't be a problem but on a VERY hot couple of days it was unpleasant.
bathtub ....dangerous !
Lovely back garden Clean Friendly staff
Shower switched from cold to hot every 10 seconds and could not be regulated properly.
Professional staff, excellent location, not far from the EU institutions, even reachable by feet. Calm area, good sleep. Bed and linens were comfortble. Excellent wi-fi, stable and strong. Parking available on the street, free until 0900 on weekdays.
Breakfast price absolutely on the high side, better go outside. Room temperature a bit too warm.
The executive room was bigger than we expected and seemed decorated with taste.
although parking in the weekend was available in the street in front of the hotel, finding a free place not too far caused us to cross a busy street with our luggage.
Breakfast Garden Staff are very helpful
Room was too hot .. and was small as well
Average accommodation. Quite dark & gloomy in public areas.
No tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast & drinks expensive
When we arrived early on Saturday the desk clerk was very helpful in telling us where to park and also how to get to our tour location. We also enjoyed the very large room number 101 and the breakfast was delicious.
Location Staff friendliness
Overheated bedroms Overpriced bar
Good location, helpful staff, lovely garden.
No air-con in a 4* executive room when it's 31 degrees! Added to which the bathroom was even hotter.
Room and garden
Breakfast place is a bit outdated
Good Location. Attentive Staff
Missing A/C Noisy (windows open) No in room coffee/tea capabilities.
Overall good location and pleasant surroundings and well appointed for EU institutions and Metro. Staff were friendly and helpful but not knowledgeable about bus routes to major institutions and were unable to provide good suggestions about good restaurants in the area.
Rundown building, no wifi connection to MacBooks which was essential to my business trip. There was a problem with the router or service provider and this wasn't the first time complaints had been registered with management. No steps had been taken to address it. No AC facilities which makes it uncomfortable in humid and warm weather making it impossible to shut windows to keep noise out from festivities held in Cinquentenaire Park located opposite the hotel. This is a recurring issue.
The garden at the back was beautiful to eat breakfast on.
There was no kettle in the room.
+ Good location + Nice building, has a character, nice garden + Good breakfast
- Recovers majo renovation - Simple rooms, limited facilities
The room window going out to the garden, with big trees right accross; the quirky layout as two townhouses are connected to make this hotel; the cosy reception area; the location next to the Jubelpark; the size; the tasteful room and bathroom; the little entrance area with hooks for any wet coats (as in many hotels, there is just a cupboard).
The creaking door to the room - I didnt mind it but I wondered if my neighbours did! I didnt manage to make the wifi work; no tea & coffee making facilities in the room, but you can ask for a tea at the reception and you get it free!
Close to Metro and easy to travel to Central Brussels. Close to available parking at the Museum.
No in room coffee maker but they bring on request.
Breakfast was wonderful and really appreciated all the fresh fruit as well as proteins. Very quiet. Lovely garden - unfortunately it rained the whole time I was there. Staff very helpful. Very enjoyable and comfortable stay.
Beds a bit too firm for me.
- Smooth entrance - overall good value for money
- The so called hotel fee should be stated up front, not acceptable to add on an agreed price! - the Carpets, yack - Why can´t I use a best weetern fidelity card if you call yourself best western
