Average accommodation. Quite dark & gloomy in public areas.
No tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast & drinks expensive
Location Staff friendliness
Overheated bedroms Overpriced bar
Good location, helpful staff, lovely garden.
No air-con in a 4* executive room when it's 31 degrees! Added to which the bathroom was even hotter.
Room and garden
Breakfast place is a bit outdated
Good Location. Attentive Staff
Missing A/C Noisy (windows open) No in room coffee/tea capabilities.
Overall good location and pleasant surroundings and well appointed for EU institutions and Metro. Staff were friendly and helpful but not knowledgeable about bus routes to major institutions and were unable to provide good suggestions about good restaurants in the area.
Rundown building, no wifi connection to MacBooks which was essential to my business trip. There was a problem with the router or service provider and this wasn't the first time complaints had been registered with management. No steps had been taken to address it. No AC facilities which makes it uncomfortable in humid and warm weather making it impossible to shut windows to keep noise out from festivities held in Cinquentenaire Park located opposite the hotel. This is a recurring issue.
The garden at the back was beautiful to eat breakfast on.
There was no kettle in the room.
+ Good location + Nice building, has a character, nice garden + Good breakfast
- Recovers majo renovation - Simple rooms, limited facilities
The room window going out to the garden, with big trees right accross; the quirky layout as two townhouses are connected to make this hotel; the cosy reception area; the location next to the Jubelpark; the size; the tasteful room and bathroom; the little entrance area with hooks for any wet coats (as in many hotels, there is just a cupboard).
The creaking door to the room - I didnt mind it but I wondered if my neighbours did! I didnt manage to make the wifi work; no tea & coffee making facilities in the room, but you can ask for a tea at the reception and you get it free!
Close to Metro and easy to travel to Central Brussels. Close to available parking at the Museum.
No in room coffee maker but they bring on request.
Breakfast was wonderful and really appreciated all the fresh fruit as well as proteins. Very quiet. Lovely garden - unfortunately it rained the whole time I was there. Staff very helpful. Very enjoyable and comfortable stay.
Beds a bit too firm for me.
- Smooth entrance - overall good value for money
- The so called hotel fee should be stated up front, not acceptable to add on an agreed price! - the Carpets, yack - Why can´t I use a best weetern fidelity card if you call yourself best western
The view of the garden. Breakfast (although expensive).
The shower changed temperature constantly -very annoying and uncomfortable. The bed and room were very small.
Location, room size, quiet and clean
Expensive breakfast €25
Near Metro, shopping street, park and EU buildings. Comfortable bed & nice balcony
Shower holder broken so had to hold shower in hand. Was reported but not fixed. No instructions for safe in room.
size of the room, great location
heating system, size of TV, no large bed available whilst requested
Not enough time (one night) to enable me to form an appropriate opinion.
All seemed OK @ Best Western Plus Park Hotel. However, since I am now expected to be a very frequent traveler to Brussels (currently looking for a 2 night accommodation - 1-3 April) I would go to another hotel if the price is more competitive.
Excellent location by the Jubilee Park. Nice atmosphere, the reception area is comfortable and homely, and the garden behind the building is appealing.
The hotel is a bit worn down, it is in need of refurbishment. The reception staff seem to have other duties, they disappear from the reception for long periods with resulting slow service. Breakfast is mediocre
Well located and nice old building. Helpful staff and a lot of character
The building being old and space being limited hotel facilities are also limited (i.e. no gym)
overpriced extras, water, coffee
Value for money
Comfortable rooms, good wi-fi, prices ok, good location (very close to Merode metro station, close to Schuman).
Kettle (tea, coffee) - would be welcomed, especially in more expensive rooms. Check-out at early hours not comfortable - not sure how to call the staff
Spacious rooms, walking distance from various meeting venues.
The rooms are nice, but look a bit dated. A breakfast for €25,= is exuberant, regardless of what you serve.
The hotel itself was nice and a good location if you are needing the European Parliament or the green space. A great decor for the building and spacious rooms.
- The free onsite parking turned out to be 75Eur per night - Here a Kingsize bed is 2 single beds pushed together - No bathrobes in the deluxe room (despite paying extra for these)
+ very nice location close to Schuman + very friendly staff + quality of breakfast (although you pay for the high quality) + comfortable bed + good size of the single room
- price of the breakfast is high
