Score from 311 reviews Wonderful
Hotel was comfortable, friendly and well located. Parking, although extra was good, the room was clean and well furnished. Would certainly stay there again.
The room was spatious and the garden a plus.
House is old and beautiful, especially the elegant dining room with classical music playing over breakfast.
Interior seems a bit tired and could use a fresh coat of paint. Room door locks are old and could be replaced.
The hotel Patritius is a beautiful mansion very well maintained, located within 5 minutes of the Markt square. The owners are very helpful and the breakfast is excellent. The room we occupied was very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel without any hesitation.
Quiet location yet only minutes from centre Excellent breakfasts(continental) Sunny garden
We loved our stay at the hotel, especially the breakfast which was delicious.
We didn't like having no tea/coffeee making facilities.
Loved the owners, the breakfast buffet and the rooms are lovely.
Only bad thing was the water temp taking a shower kept changing...if you have lived in an old building you would understand!
Lovely building Comfortable room Nice garden to relax in Excellent breakfast Helpful owners Near main square Lift
Expensive to garage the car
large airy room in a well decorated, old townhouse. very clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful. Had a disaster with car and were helped to find local audi dealership to have repairs carried out. just a few minutes walk away from the main square but so quiet and peaceful that it felt like a different world.
Friendly staff, clean & nicely appointed rooms, great nights sleep, great coffee from the funky coffee machine!
No tea/coffee making facilities in the room, could not close bathroom/WC door as door stuck on damaged wooden floor
Attentiveness of hoteliers Elvi and Garrett Spaey the moment one enters their door. The most pleasant rooms. The pleasant atmosphere. The excellent breakfasts. The location close, but not too close to the main squares. The car parking facility.
We have nothing to complain about, having stayed at the Patritius each year for over 10 years.
great staff great location lovely garden nice rooms
So close to everything and a wonderful garden in a courtyard with parking
Location and car park option.
No hot drinks making facility in the room
The common areas of the hotel are nicely decorated. The rooms are large. The evening staff (Conrad) was very helpful. Wi-Fi worked well I the rooms.
The unfriendly attitude of the owners who are on reception and dining room during the day. Abrupt and disinterested. We'll take your money but we don't have to smile or be warm and welcoming. It was very disappointing. They didn't even ask us if we enjoyed our stay when we checked out. The double bed in our room was two single beds pushed together, but, since they were on wheels, they kept on separating. The mattresses were old and extremely soft which meant that we woke up with sore backs each morning. The hairdryer is a museum piece. Make sure you take your own if you need one.
An excellently run family-owned hotel, with large well-appointed rooms, scrupulously cleaned every day. The location couldn't be better, being only 5 minutes walk from the Market Square, but in a quiet street. The proprietors were most friendly and helpful and we had a thoroughly enjoyable 5 night stay.
Nothing to dislike at all
Great location, fab room and excellent breakfast!
the rooms where nice i wsh there was tea maker garage is a good idea good food nice staff.....
nothing really just tea maker because iam english
Loved the staff! Absolutely wonderful and charming place! I loved my room with a big bed, huge ceilings and tall windows letting the sunshine in! It was nice to find this treasure after all the small places in Europe, and there was even a large bathtub to soak in after a long day of travel! Breakfast was excellent, and all the common livings areas were lovely, especially the little garden. I can't wait to return! I would live there if I could!
Wifi was very weak, I had to stay right next to the door in my room to get it to work. Then again, we should all be out exploring the world anyway!
loved the string for breakfast the room was large and comfortable. internet was good and the bathroom was modern and clean. well located off the main square.
internet was a little slow for Skype
Everything was good. Fresh boiled eggs with breakfast (but a moment to sit before having to choose would be preferred).
We had to leave early (7.30 am) for the ferry and were told that we could not have any breakfast. I think that it was realised that we not happy and we were able to have access as it was being set up.
Spacious, clean room, breakfast
The hotel was a lovely converted estate home very near the main market in Brugge. Staff/owners were very helpful and nice and the rooms were lovely. Beds were comfortable and shower/bathrooms were good.
Excellent breakfast Owners on site helpful and friendly
TV in room very small and was not working
Attractive and characteristic, the hotel owners are welcoming and can't do enough for you. Very comfortable beds. My niece said she wished she could take the bed home! The garden very peaceful too after a long day.
More like a B&B than a hotel, as there is no food available to eat in after a long day. No bar for drinks, but the owners will happily provide you with a bottle of wine/beer which we had after we had walked our feet off all day. They didn't seem to promote snacks/sandwiches and drinks a great deal. This could have been provided in the hotel rooms to see what was on offer. Hence the reason more a B&B. It would have been nice to have had tea/coffee making facilities in room as standard, but this was extra. Not sure if this is the norm for Bruges.
