Portinari is in the center of the city of Bruges and is surrounded by cozy restaurants. There is an inviting terrace for warm days and an underground parking. The famous Grote Markt is a short walk away, as is the Zuidzandstraat and Steenstraat shopping area. Bruges Train Station is a 10-minute walk from the hotel. You can reach the Belgian coast easily as it is only 6 miles away. All rooms were recently renovated and have a private bathroom and Wi-Fi access. Each morning, a breakfast buffet is served. After a busy day of sightseeing, it is nice to relax in the cozy bar or lounge and enjoy a drink or Belgian beer. A good-looking hotel. Excellant location; could park the car underneath in the T'Zandt car park. Helpful staff on reception. Modern but still comfortable. Nice lounge area on 1st floor. They've made a good feature of the "window-less" breakfast room We booked a "junior suite" which was not really worth the money. Breakfast was average - if we'd paid for it seperately, it was certainly over-priced. Some noise from bars etc on a weekend evening. Nowhere to hang coats, scarves etc in the room

The location. The Reception staff was rude upon check in, as if we were an irritation to her as we booked the hotel through the tourist information and the reference number given to us on booking didn't match any of the hotels numbers. The view in our room was horrible it looked out over the roof, this was room number 24. I woul not recommend this room if you are there for the scenary.

Hotel is well located in the historic center of Bruegge, close to all major attractions. Excellent front desk staff, forthcoming with useful suggestions on recommended places to eat. WiFi availability at a modest fee. Bar and restaurant on premises. Absence of hotel parking, largely mitigated by availability of reasonably priced secure public parking right next to the hotel.

The room was at the back of the hotel overlooking a view of some beautiful towers. The breakfast was very good. There was an elevator. The hotel was easy to find and right near the underground parking. The location was very good to walking around Bruges. The room was not very large but it was adequate for one night. The bathroom was cramped but ok. The bed was comfortable.

Good location and decor in communal areas. Staff were a bit surly, facilities are old (E.G. sellotaped together telephone in the lift), shower tap are easy to knock from hot to cold.

Great Location, easy access to all parts of town, all within walking distance. Nice atmosphere. Parking right next to hotel at low price. Great Breakfast Rather small room, but you only sleep in it :)

Friendly staff. Great location for touring city. Nice breakfast. Elevator/lift for getting suitcases to your room. Undergroung parking ramp was right acrossed the street. Bathroom was a little small, tight. But it did have a tub to soak in after walking all day.

We stayed in a quad room and it was perfect. Plenty of space, very clean and bright. It was teh perfect family room for my husband and I and our two children (5 year old and a 7 months old). There are two layers of double glazed windows so there is little to no outside noise (even with a traveling carnival right outside the hotel!) There are other postings about the staff being rude. We found them a little stuffy at first but really just speak with them nicely and they will warm up and were very helpful and nice. HTe breakfast buffet in the morning was also great. Lastly, the hotel is in a great location to walk to any of the sites in the city and also sits on a square where lots of other hotels and restaurants have outdoor seating along the sidewalk to sit and enjoy the day. Excellent!

Situation idéale pour visiter la ville, tout près du centre. Parking sous-terrain à côté de l'hôtel, bien pratique. Le personnel est très agréable. Chambre propre et fonctionnelle.
