Public areas were nice. Position for business district was good: 5 minutes from Gare du Nord and 10 minutes from one of the main EC buildings at Rogier. Rooms are very Spartan with wood floors and fitted pine furniture. Basic but clean. Mattress was hard. No minibar or tea making facilities in room.

- Great services and very helpfull staff. - Location was just 7 minutes from North Station from where it's only two-three stops by metro to get to City center. - large and clean room - excellent price (around 80 euro per night) - Breakfast Buffet was better than some other hotel I stayed in the area.

The internet was so slow that it was almost unusable, which is inappropriate for a four star hotel.

Gym was a really big bonus. The mattress in the "regular" room was horrible. Had to upgrade to exec suite for extra 25 Euro a night just so that we could sleep.

Hotel is located right next to the North station. So if you have business there, it's ideal. It's equipped well, has a large breakfast room as well as a good sized bar with plenty professional staff. Bed is firm, which I rather prefer. Bathroom is primitive and in need of modernization. Noisy dog at right wing rear of hotel. Barks at inconvenient times. Hotel aims at more than averagely heeled clientele which tend to arrive by bus load. So it's a little pricey. Neighbourhood is residential, rather run down. Long walk to city center. No shops around, except for some strange bazaar like setup around the corner. Worst of all, no gratuitous toiletries, but squeeze bottles on the bathroom wall.

- The staff always very helpful. Even at 2am. - Rooms were sufficiently roomy. One doesn't feel trapped in a tiny box. - FREE INTERNET throughout the hotel - Relatively to other hotels in Brussels, good value for money - The location is far from ideal. To the north of Bruxelles Nord, nothing interesting or useful close by. No restaurants, kiosk, super- market etc. If one doesn't want to use entirely room service, one has to be well-prepared and bring what is needed when coming back from the city. Also, not advisable to go out for a walk after 7pm. I didn't feel threatened, there was just nothing nearby, apart from corporate buildings, lifeless after 6pm. - Practically, no shuttle bus. During low-season, one needs to ask for shuttle but well in advance so that they can call the driver. So taxi is a more readily-available option, but of course not complimentary.

Inside the hotel is very good, clean, well maintained. The food in the restaurant was very good and the waiting staff very friendly. The hotel is located in a developing area with building works. Not a good location for just walking around the area. The bar was stated as being open from 11.00 but didn't open until 18h00, but maybe this was because of staffing over the Christmas period..

The hotel room is spacious and the beds are comfy. Very good value for money. Though the breakfast is a bit expensive, it provides freshly pressed orange juice which is something very good and nice to have for breakfast. The hotel is in fact located quite far from the city centre and all the sights. More regular shuttle bus service between town centre and the hotel is certainly a plus. There is however an issue not related to the hotel but I think which is worth the attention of visitors who plan to stay in Brussels for pleasure or business. It is an issue about taxi drivers ripping off passengers. Once I took a taxi from Broukere near Metropole Hotel to Hotel Husa President, I was charged 10 Euros where the usual fare is 6 Euros (at night time after 8:00 pm). There was no meter on the taxi and the driver simply said it should be 10 Euros. I then went into the hotel and sought assistance from the hotel reception staff at Husa President. Having heard what I told the staff, the taxi driver swore in a language that I didn’t understand and walked away. Although I didn’t understand what he said, I thought he must be swearing in foul language with life-threatening content. At that moment, I wonder if I should call the police because of his threats to my personal safety. I was really upset by this incident which I think is damaging the image and reputation of Brussels as an international city and the capital of the EU and EC.
