The Motel One Brussels is centrally in Brussels, a 10-minute walk from the Grand-Place, the Manneken Pis Statue, the Rue Neuve Shopping District and Brussels-Central Train Station.
Score from 2327 reviews Excellent
This boutique-style hotel is a 2-minute walk from the shops on Rue Neuve and the City2 Shopping Mall. It offers spacious, soundproof rooms and a 24-hour front desk.

the location, the facilities in the room (nespresso machine, tea making facilities, scales in the bathroom)
it was a bit cold in the breakfast room
Excellent location, which is only 2 minutes walk to the Brussels-Nord ( easy access to other cities); and 3 minutes walk to shop and dine; and 10~20 minutes walk to tourist attractions. The price is affordable. I like the lobby, where there are two lectric massage chairs, and wifi access. So I can be comfortable while waiting for airport pick-up.
My room was tiny (but cost less), and the wifi connection was too weak to function smoothly in my room. And the staff does not know which power transformer is US type.
Great wifi speed
breakfast is expensive yet poor quality
I have just had yet another excellent visit to the Progress Hotel. Friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Clean, spacious, well-appointed room. Free, fast WiFi. excellent location close to Place Rogier, Grand Place and Gare du Nord.
Breakfast needs to be improved: a bit expensive with very limited choice.
I really love that they provided a baby bed for my little daughter without additional fees.
Wifi reception in my room was poor at times
Everything was perfect the whole time i spent at the hotel. Amazing bed:-)
Just one thing that left me a bit uncomfortable: on the morning i was about to check out, the computer records showed that a pack of peanuts had been used from the minibar in my room. I was surprised that he couldn't believe that i didn't used the minibar at all - he actually went to the room to check if i was telling the truth. That pack or peanuts probably costs less than €4!!!
Good location, staff very helpful, nice clean room
Wifi didńt work in the room
In my case the wifi worked very well. The hotel is between gate du nord and rue neuve. Rue neuve is the main shopping street in Brussels so you will find anything you need just some meters away from the hotel. The access from the train station is very good (i.e. from/to the airport). The two lovely spanish girls behind the desk did a very good work, and the room was very nice. I had a back facing room, that faces an internal patio with few windows with a large wall painted in a way that makes it much nicer. It was also very quiet. There is a very large desk with enough electricity sockets as well as a coffee and tea makers. Nice bathroom with great lighting (for make up) and toiletries. Overall good quality with a correct price. I didn't try the gym or the breakfast.
The street is not nice for a woman when traveling alone, and the high security to get into the hotel (almost hidden entry door needing a card) adds to the feeling of general insecurity in the street. Once inside the experience is different. There were two beds put together (not ideal for a couple) and they were rather too soft. There was also a strange light set up that meant the bed lights and the one in the hall where connected, so you had to have them all on or all off. General cleaning was very good except for some stains in the carpet.
Good location, central, near the shopping street (2 minutes), near the train station. Easy to go everywhere on foot.
Clean room and comfortable bed.
- the TV channels were like 4 and the quality very very poor.
Location - proximity to Gare du Nord, my conference venue, WCO etc. -Nespresso machine in room -Generally well equipped room and bathroom -cleanliness - greatly appreciated the room upgrade (thanks to Hotel Management!)
- no complaints. Price perhaps on the high side generally but I secured a good deal which made it worthwhile
location is great and modern room with wonderful view, wireless was good but not fast and the TV has many channels in english as well as in fresh which is convenient
not enough soap was provided, breakfast was not convenient, the door key sometimes doesn't work and mini bar charges are high
Location is great! at Rogiers place, just in front of EU COVE building, where I had a work. It s walking distance from Gare du Nord and from New Street. Room is spacious, with very comfortable bed, useful desk and small table, fridge, teamaker and Nespresso machine with free cofee, even scale is thoughtfully considered and provided. Wi-fi was one of the best I have ever experienced in hotels! There are lots of eating places nearby (I would recommend Pomidorissimo and Lunch Point. There are excellent massage armchairs in the lobby. Staff is very friendly and provided room ready much earlier than check-in time! All is perfect! I would definitely return to this hotel!
TV channels selection is very poor, nearly no English channels, strangely only BBC2! The Progress street has quite traffic even during night, soundproofness is not bad, but could be better!
Central location. 10 minutes from the central Palace, clean and comfortable room.
No parking, we had to park on the side streets with 25 euros per day.
Location, cleanliness, quiet place, nice view over a garden
There was no shower gel - only one bottle obviously half used by the guest before. There were only about 5 tv programs - all in French. There was a problem with the locking of my door
There is no restaurant menu in the room.
A very convenient location. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, the staff helpful.
Only one decaf and one regular coffee insert for the coffee maker—for two people. What if they both want decaf? There was no way to turn off the hall lights without turning off the night table lights. The bathroom did not have a tub. The shower was large enough to have had a seat, and it should have one. The toilet is low. For a person with bad knees it is not as comfortable as the universal access height now common in the U.S.
soft bed and good location!
nobody's ever at the reception
The quality of the hotal and the personnel. The room has facilities for coffe and tea. Room quiet and clean
The room is too small for the price payed and the wifi works really bad. Too slow and limited for several website. It is not completely open. The safebox is too small for a computer
Room equipment, location, breakfast.
The position of the hotel is very good. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, and as a plus had a fitness center.
Overall OK, but nothing really distinctive.
All in all the price is high compared to the quality.
Position of the hotel close to Gare Nord and metro. Design of the room. Working table.
The bed was soft (the mattress was good but it was lying on "a spring base").
