Brussels is well-known as the headquarters of many European institutions and is often called the capital of Europe. However, Belgian waffles, beer and chocolate are just a few of the city’s best-known delicacies that can rival its political reputation.
French and Dutch are the city’s two official languages, so all streets and landmarks have two different names: don’t be surprised when you look for Grand Place and end up at Grote Markt!
Don’t miss the famous bronze, aptly named Manneken Pis statue or the futuristic Atomium, a truly unique architectural creation. Wandering through side streets to discover small bookshops, romantic cafés and ethnic restaurants reveals Brussels's charm.
Brussels is a real melting pot of Europe, filled with great museums and art from Memling, Bosch or Rubens, historic breweries and great concert halls. Shopping addicts can visit the world’s first shopping mall, the Saint Hubert Gallery, opened here in 1847.
If you’re arriving at Brussels Airport or South Charleroi Airport, all major attractions are just a short train or bus ride away. Whether you’re looking for a design hotel, a comfortable apartment or a friendly B&B, Booking.com has something perfect for your trip to Brussels.
If it's your first time visiting Europe, it's ideal.
If it's your first time visiting Europe, it's ideal. However, if you've explored numerous European countries, the architecture might not offer anything particularly new. Nevertheless, the Grand Place is definitely a must-see; it's stunning both during the day and at night, along with its nearby surroundings. I'd recommend spending a day here to soak in the city center and nearby attractions, and don't forget to indulge in Belgium's famous chocolates while you're at it!
Also keep another day to go Ghent and Bruges as day trip.

I loved the food, I loved the Grand Place and walking around the tiny streets full of people, also the street music, the terraces for having and enjoying a drink were very nice. Also, we went to the planetarium, and the atomium both places were absolutely great ! The Cathedral was very beautiful too ! And dont forget to eat the famous waffles and have some Leonidas and Neuhaus chocolats !! I eat at Aux Armes du Bruxelles and that was fantastic !

I wouldn’t recommened anybody to travel to Brussels.
I wouldn’t recommened anybody to travel to Brussels. It is very dirty, trash all around the streets, and there are sketchy people. I was afraid even at daytime. The city center itself was okay (nice buildings and architecture). It is a good base to visit other cities via the good train system.

Brussels is an interesting city and has some very quirky sights. Since you are likely to pass through if using Eurostar, I'd recommend staying a couple of nights. This time we went to the Atomium which can be reached easily from Brussels Midi station on the Metro line 6.

Spent one day wandering around the sights - weather poor which didn't help - another day spent in Bruges which was tourist madness - we were leaving Sunday and I went to St Michaels Cathederal - there was Mass on and unfortunately I couldn't stay. I felt sorry to be leaving Brussels - would have loved another day. Traffic seems to be crazy but the people seem well integrated. Most people understated and not showy. There is obviously a homelessness problem like most City's - Brussels - quirky & confident but modest. Love the Art Deco buildings and lettering. Brussels is not cheap for eating and drinking but on a par with other Cities. in Europe.

An absolutely wonderful capital city.
An absolutely wonderful capital city. Beautiful architecture, people, food and clean streets. If you want to visit the over-rated France, skip that and stay in Brussels. You will still get a similar culture without the dirty streets and rude people.
The food was amazing in every restaurant and takeaway, from their iconic waffles and fries to a quick snack or meal. The metro made things so simple to move around and access each area. Though overall most things are pretty much in a central location you can easily walk to and from.
The place was very close to the city center and train station. The room was clean and well-designed. The hotel had one of the best breakfasts by European standards. I'd like to specially mention Lorena and Andrea, they helped out with every issue and were very friendly. They were efficiently talking in English and Spanish aside from French which is rare in most parts of Belgium. If I ever visit Brussels again I'll definitely will be staying here.
The hotel staff was awesome. always ready to help. The hotel is conveniently located within the historical center of Brussels. Our room was perfect for two people. I liked that the toilet was separate from the tub/shower/sink and we heard no outside noise. Very quiet. The bed was fantastic! Slept like a baby every night. Plus the hotel is well within walking distance of restaurants, shopping and historical sites like the beautiful Grand Place.
I have already been severall times in this hotel, it is so close to Brussels central raiwaystation and city center.
The accomodations are very good and very good breakfast. But this time i want to thank the staff for given service, we came back from usa with nightflight, 30 hours no sleep, and i had asked for early check in. We arrived at 11.30pm at hotel and the room was ready, so we could take immediately some sleep. Great service !!!
Close to metro station and railway, also the bus stop for the airport buses (1-2 min away). City center is 3 metro stops away. The rooms are clean, beds comfortable. There is a lobby bar at the reception if you need to wait for your room to be prepared. Also locker room available (1.5 euro/h or 7 euro for 24h). Breakfast is standard and it's good. The stuff is kind and helpful. Would visit again this hotel next time I'm in Brussels.
Location is fantastic!!! Right in the city center and 7 minutes from Brussels Nord station.
Hotel is SO beautiful inside, with floral themes on the floors and amazing signature scent they use throughout the hotel.
Bed was very comfortable and all amenities were funcitonal and good.
Staff are wonderful and very helpful.
I am actually going back after Christmas with my family this time, already booked again.
The hotel is located 10-15min walk to the city center, to the Brussels Midi Station, also there are many stores around. The room and the bathroom were big and clean. The bed was comfortable, as were the pillows. The staff is great and really helpful. The breakfast was delicious!! There isn't AC but there is an electric fan that really did the job.
We are really pleased with our stay at Hotel Van Belle
The hotel staff make this hotel a great stay. Each member was able to help me with everything that I came to them with. Wifi works great. The convenience of the location is exceptional as it is close to local transportation and the Brussels city center. I appreciate the closet space for storage of clothes and personal belongings.
Pleasant, modern boutique budget style hotel close to Brussels-Midi station, so good for Eurostar and other onward destinations. Breakfast room and lounge nice.
Brasserie St Nicolas next door good for evening meal. 20 mins to Grand Place and Palais de Justice areas. Limonier metro stop just around the corner
We had a very nice stay in Brussels. Edouard Boat offers privacy and a large space for a very good price in proximity to the city center. Recommended for adventurous characters searching for a novel experience rather than anonymous all-inclusive uniformity offered by highly equipped hotels.
This was my second stay in the Motel One. I chose this hotel because of its location (very close to museums and city center). The value for the money is good. It is not the high end hotel but you get what you are paying for. Good for short stays (I went to Brussels just for the weekend).
Booked the hotel on my way to the airport. Just for one night stay.
Very confy beds, very friendly reception and excellent location almost next to the train station and the Grand Place.
Pleasantly surprised.
Will probably return to actually visit Brussels centre.
If you choose to stay 10 to 15 minutes-walk to almost all sightseeings in Brussels city centre, this hotel offers one best location. Bed was comfortable, shower pressure was great and water was hot, room heating was great, and it was very silent.
This boutique hotel in Brussels has an extraordinary lobby, a perfect oasis for work with its stylish decor and an inviting atmosphere. Its central location and excellent service make it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers.
Excellent location across the street from the St Michael and St Gudula Cathedral, Brussels, close to the Grand Place. Walking distance from the Royal Palace.
The hotel itself is gorgeous, it decorative.
Complementary drinks and mini waffles.
We enjoyed a pleasant stay at the Citadines, situated at walking distance of Brussels ‘Grote Markt’ and city center. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good parking under the hotel and excellent restaurants nearby.
The value of the hotel was great, it was cheaper compared to other hotels in central Brussels.
The mattress and pillows were superior quality compared to 5 star hotels I’ve been too.
Was very well decorated and very close to train station that you could use it to reach both airport around Brussels. Kitchenware in room was adequate. by walking 15 min to city center
Close to airport shuttle service and railway station. 15 minutes walk to the city center.
We took the room just to sleep before our early flight, so it was the best option.
Best location, 200 m from Brussels central station, 100m to Grand place, surrounded with shops and restaurants. Have a coffee shop and breakfast at hotel ground floor.
