The Motel One Brussels is centrally in Brussels, a 10-minute walk from the Grand-Place, the Manneken Pis Statue, the Rue Neuve Shopping District and Brussels-Central Train Station.
Score from 5082 reviews Excellent
Perfect stay for a few nights! Staff very friendly and helpful. Very comfy bed in a pleasantly decorated, good sized room.Very clean bathroom. Carrefour shop just downstairs and with small fridge in the room made up for rather pricey breakfast. Complimentary bottles of water and tea and coffee facilities are nice touch. Convenient location - walking distance from main attractions also great for metro/buses/train.
Could be noisy due to heavy traffic.
staff very kind and willing to make your stay as much as confortable as possible.
The staff is the highlight. They couldn't do better to help you. The hotel is actually a surprise: you see a small door in a darkish street when you arrive but then inside it unfolds into a very spacious and modern, nicely decorated hotel.Very close to the metro Botanique.
There are no shops, good restaurants or nice places to go nearby (except a Carrefour express next door) but at least the hotel is very close to the metro, about 3 minutes walk.
bathroom, entrance and elevator smelled not nice. The bathroom design is just miscalculated for the space, if you're tall sitting on the toile will be a challenge :) Too expensive for what it is
Nicely renovated rooms.
Watch out for the attic rooms. Too hot. And noisy if you open windows. Pillows are those memory foam - alright if you're used to them. I'm not!
Very conveniently situated near Botanic Garden. 15-30 minutes’ walk to main sightseeings, close to metro, tram, grocery store is in same building. Rooms are clean, tea facilities in room, free water, convenient bed, good conditioning. We had room with view to the street with tram, but sound isolation was normal and noise from street didn't disturbed.
From previous reviews I had expected a reasonable quality hotel. On entering the very sad looking doorway, there were two Turkish women sitting drinking coffee. The reception desk was just a small counter at the end of a narrow corridor. The whole place had a dank smell and when the window was opened in the room it was impossible to sleep due to the street noise. Wi-fi did not work in the room and it was necessary to go to the restaurant to use it. I took a walk around the block and could easily have been in Istanbul - I have nothing against Istanbul but my visit was to Brussels and not Turkey. My car had to be parked in a public underground parking and only just fitted through the barriers.
Lovely helpful staff, modern clean room, perfect wifi, coffee facilities in room, good TV, quiet rooms, ony a few minutes from a metro stop, above a supermarket, value for money, plug sockets by the bed!
Nothing, it was wonderful
The decoration of the room, the staff, the breakfast, the location (very close to the metro station). I'd book it again.
second time I stayed, my room was very neat and cozy, unlike the first one which was very basic.
Noise - make sure to bring ear plugs with you!
staff on reception were very helpful. Bed was extremely comfortable. Nice clean spacious room incl a safe and mini bar with complimentary bottles of water. Short stroll into the shopping area.
Shower went hot and cold. A lot of noise outside the bedroom window would have preferred a quieter room which we had requested.
value for Money! We had a room on the 5th floor. Very quiet, clean, warm!! Super after a tired day! We paid 50 euros per night for this wonderful room! The staff very helpful with any question!!
20-25 minutes from the Centre on feet. Neighborhood makes you feel not very safe sometimes in the night
Good location, very friendly staff, with nice bed (and great pillow!), great flatscreen TV and decent shower.
Only negative was the windows didn't block out enough sound and main road was quite noisy.
close to station good beds clean
W-Lan did not work all the time. No service at breakfast to fix or renew things
The hotel location was very good. The room was nice and well decorated. Shower was great.
The room was opposite the street do a bit of noise but nothing that could annoy you
The reception staff were helpful and friendly
The room was hot and opening the window or having the aircon on was noisy. However, this is not atypical of city hotels in my experience. The mattress on the bed was extremely hard!!
The interior of the rooms was very well designed and nicely renovated (since 2012). The room was very spacious and confortable and made an overall decent impression. Unexpected surprise compared to the exterior of the building and the poor reception area.
Its location is adjacent to the "red district". The wooden floor of the apartment above mine creaked and while I was trying to fall asleep I thought someone was walking in my apartment (very annoying!). The reception man (though very polite) tried to attend the breakfast area as well every morning (he walked/ran the stairs up and down), but even though "one-man show" is very cost effective, it can never be effective...
I spent a weekend in Brussels and chose this hotel because of its location and price, and it turned out to be much better than I could imagine. Very confortable, super nice staff, and the location could not be better, since station Botanique is just a few meters away.
Good location, supermarket downstairs, excellent WiFi, kettle with coffee and tee, free bottled water.
Noisy in the morning even tho I asked for a quiet room
Convenient location, friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable room, great value for the money.
Breakfast was good.
Room smelled awful. Could not open window because of street noise. Pillows were uncomfortable.
Clean large rooms, nice breakfast, large windows, close to metro or tram, supermarket on first floor, close to night shop
not so close to downtown (20-25 min by walk or 3 min by tram). slow wifi on weekends.
Location, price, room size
Room being dark
Great location to visit the center. Very nice supermarket next door opened every day. Great room with tea maker, free bottled water and a great bed. And great price for what you get in Brussels.
While close to the Gare du Noord station, it is not an area you would like to walk by early in the morning alone if you are a woman.
The location was good, 10 minute walk from the downtown. Wifi was excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking garage few minutes from the hotel. Grocery store in the same building with the hotel.
Area around the hotel was dirty and unattractive. A lot of dirt and garbage in the street. Hot water pressure was unstable and there was no warm water from the sink, only the shower.
