Radisson BLU Park Lane Hotel, Antwerp  

Location and the bar seemed cosy and the bar staff were friendly.

Thought some of the staff were very distant they didnt make much of an effort to make you feel welome when we checked in but the staff at reception later in the evenining were a lot more friendly . On one evening I ordered a taxi for 7.30pm and it didnt show till 8.10pm maybe this was no fault of hotel as they did try rectify the problem.

Interior design

Breakfast: the quality and variety was not what you would expect from a 4-star hotel

It is very well appointed, and has highly professional, multi-lingual staff, who were all friendly and helpful.We had a large, comfortable and generally well equipped room at the front of the hotel, with a splendid view over-looking the central park and lake.Although the busy dual carriage- way in front did not bother us, we could imagine that the traffic noise would disturb some, especially,perhaps, in the early morning. However, the windows were well sound-proofed, and we did not find noise to be intrusive.We prefered being situated on the periphery of the old city centre, but some of our age group might find the vigorous 15 to 20 mins. Walk to the Cathedral etc. area a bit too far. There is no decent restaurant within any thing less than 10 mins. Walk.

The menu in the bar is very limited for choice; and extremely expensive for what it is! We were disappointed ( and irritated! ) by the absence of tea/coffee making facilities in the room, and a heated towel-rail in the bath-room.But these are small criticisms overall.

This was a stunning hotel opposite a beautiful park which our room overlooked. Value for money, good choice of breakfast and a lovely spa, swimming pool and jacuzzi.

The hotel staff were very friendly. The breakfast was really good. The room was clean. The location is in front of a big park, so it is nice to walk in the park.

The hotel is well old, that is why the carpet of the room looks not so new, even it is nicely cleaned. We could hear the some noise from our neighbor, it can be disturbing(in our case, we did not care so much).

Wellness centre could be better. There were at times not enough towels, jacuzzi and swimming pool should be warmer and steam room didnt work (hardly any steam and not warm). Sauna was ok.

Sunday morning breakfast was overwhelmed by guests and there seemed to be too few staff to cope with the pressure.
