Hotel Rastelli Tervuren  

Enjoyed another nice stay in quiet Tervuren. The stuff continues to be helpful, flexible and very friendly. Room facing courtyard was quiet and we got a good night sleep without interruptions.

This time to room we got was in a bit worse condition with e.g one electric socket hanging out from the wall, so some maintenance work is needed.

Rastelli has big clean rooms, and if you're lucky, shared terrace for 1st floor apartments. Typical continental breakfast enough to satisfy breakfast needs.

It didn't happen this time, but if your room is facing streets you might end up hearing street noise. Sometimes the rooms are also very hot based on several visits to hotel.

Room was very spacious and contained kitchen which was useful for breakfast in room. Bathroom very spacious and lovely hot water. Cleaning staff very friendly and helpful. Receptionist very nice and good English. Location was excellent for us - visiting our daughter who lives in town.

Coffee/teabags in room were not replaced unless requested. Some cutlery missing in kitchen area (ie. Only one teaspoon, one dessert spoon and no forks).

The hotel looks good, it is modern and very clean. The reception staff was friendly.

There is no air conditioning in the rooms, nor any kind of ventilation system. This is not so unusual in Europe, and particularly in Belgium (of which I am a native). However, the room we were in was extremely hot, presumably due to a design flaw or lack of proper insulation since buildings do not normally get that hot in our climate. Even in a heat wave, with proper ventilation it is possible to keep room temperatures to a livable degree. But at Hotel Rastelli, no steps were taken to achieve this. As stated previously, the room was extremely hot from the moment we stepped in. Even in very light clothing, we started sweating heavily immediately. The air was stuffy and unbreathable. As a result, we had to keep the window wide open during the two nights and days that we stayed there. Unfortunately, the street below was very noisy, with late-night parties and heavy trucks passing at 3 am. So we were very uncomfortable and slept very little. When we brought up this problem with the reception staff, they said that they had other guests who had complained about this and had left early. We decided to cancel our last night because we could not imagine spending another night there (we had just got married and were starting our honeymoon -- being miserably hot and unable to sleep was not the way we had envisioned it!), so we asked reception how to do this. We spoke to the hotel manager, Mrs. Inge Rastelli, who said it was out of her hands because we had booked with Booking.com. She said we should call their customer service, and if they agreed to let us cancel the third night it would be okay with her. We then called Booking.com customer service, and talked to a representative who was very friendly and helpful.

Well located for our needs. Clean, modern, comfortable. Friendly staff. free wifi. Would highly recommend

Disappointing that no food seemed to be available and on a monday night most restaurants in tervuren are closed so what are guests supposed to do? We found something in the end outside but choice was limited.

This hotel is excellant - the staff and accomodation are first class. The village/town is quiet but there are plent of places to eat and drink in an evening and it is only half an hour into the centre of Brussels - I have already booked for my next business trip at the end of July

Staff veramente gentile e disponibile ad aiutare senza essere invadente. Colazione molto ricca e varia,vicinissimo al parco di Tervuren che merita sicuramente una visita. Ho molto molto apprezzato il fatto che la camera fosse fornita di fornelli elettrici: ottimo per potersi scaldare qualcosa autonomamente! Bravi!

De ligging, makkelijk parking. We waren slechts op doortocht, ontbijt uitstekend, leuk kader.

Niks tegen gevallen. suite ideaal gelegen met prachtig uitzicht en de vliegtuigen van Zaventem, die zijn onderdeel van onze leefwereld; moeten we er dankbaar bij nemen !!
