Stairs, no lift for No:31 Berckmans street
Spacious and value for money. Close to transport, shops and local restaurants. Very clean.
Let down by small things not right (no plug for washbasin, TV not switching on, main living area 2nd ceiling light blown). Quite a bit of street noise until late (~1 a.m.)
Comfortable bed, kitchen and bathroom.
Poor ventilation and aircondition.
The appartment had everything I needed and is very close to Avenue Louise. There are lots of bars and restaurants very close to the appartment as well as several supermarkets. The appartment is a good size with reasonable storage. Overall it was OK, nothing outstanding, but I would stay here again
There was a problem with some of the lights not working properly and the lock on the door was damaged which meant a lot of playing with keys and the handle to lock the door. It was quite noisy early in the evening as it is on a route which means that there are lots of vehicles with sirens blaring, but very quiet at night.
A great and quite place for a good price.
- The address given did not correspond to apartment address. Appartment not in a nice area - Common areas, Bldng entrance, lift & staircase are not aired. One smells the bad air immediately - Appartment have windows in sitting/Dining room only. Bedroom airing non existent Bathroom airing very very poor (repetition intended)
Great location, cheap, great size, layout and kitchen.
Rude staff, smelt of smoke. How to book parking not clear
For what we paid, we were impressed with how much space we had and the facilities on hand, including free decent-speed wifi. Also, location was good; a bit of a walk from the centre of town, but only a couple of minutes' walk from the nearest Metro and very close to some small, local shops.
Although it was only a few minutes' walk away, we were surprised we weren't actually staying at the location we had booked. Also, it wasn't a problem for us, but the building we stayed in had steps up to the lift, restricting access for people with limited mobility.
Wifi was not good.
I have stayed at these apartment many times and find it's good value for money. I had lived in Brussels before so I know the area. There is plenty around, from shops, to restaurants, cafes etc., it's easy to get to Sablon on Grand Place and there is good public transport around.
The only downside is having to pick up the key from the hotel that runs the apartments. The wifi wasn't working great. This time my apartment was on the main road, thus more noise, plus a Lebanese restaurant with live music has opened and with the flat being on the first floor, I could hear it loudly. The good thing is they stopped early.
We found the apartment clean, quiet and spacious. No complaints at all. Lots of crockery, cutlery and pots/pans if you prefer to cook. A five minute walk to collect your keys, but no problem if you know in advance!
The exterior is not attractive and there is a gym on the ground floor that is not part of the aparthotel.
A lot of space for your money. Neighborhood is non-touristy but one of the nicest areas in Brussels. Lots of restaurants, shops, movie theaters etc. About a 10-20 minute walk to the main plaza, but on your way you go by the Palace of Justice, chocolate square, and several other must-see places. You're also close to the Central train station. WiFi worked great. Overall fun to feel like you lived in an apartment in Brussels.
I could connect to wifi but could not use it. Of course I entered provided password, even many times ! No way... :-(
The location was excellent and a short walk to the old part of the city The staff were friendly and helpful The parking was secure The street was fairly quiet and the air conditioning worked well
The flat was not clean. There was dust and hair on the bathroom floor, some of the furniture was marked and 2 of the 3 lounge lights did not work. The cooker was a little old and grubby as was the fridge. We also found shards of glass on the lounge floor. It could be a lovely apartment with a little bit of care
Location Kitchen well equiped.
Old clothes left in copboard. Used tissue and sandwitch wrapping left in drawer. One side of sliding door was left against wall wich could have been dangerous. No air con. When i called reception i was told i should send an email to the reception with those facts... why should i write an email to reception while i was talking to the receptionist? Can someone explain me the logic?
With a fully functional kitchen, dining area and lounge, makes a nice change from all the hotel rooms I stay in. A range of restaurants opposite, adjacent and within 2 minute walk from the front door. A few small supermarkets too.
WiFi signal and speeds could be greatly improved.
convinient and good store close to the hotel easy to get to the city center fairely good restaurants in the neiborghopt
no German tv
Conveniently located in the city centre and 5 mnin walk from the metro station
good-equipped studio. I was there just for one-night short stay...didn't actually use the kitchen.
a little bit noisy as it is near Louiza...
The apartment was a great size and well-equipped. Good location too!
Check-in time was late (3pm)
Clean , helpful staff, location
No towels in the kitchen
Location was good, as one of the main avenues is at 300 m away. In this avenue you can find a supermarket, a shopping mall, as well as other shoes and clothes stores.
You have to go back to reception to drop off the keys. The point is that reception is 400 meters away from the apartment. The ground was not really clean. We had to buy a chemical product to unblock the plumbing of both washbasin and shower. Even if the appartment was reported for 2 people, only one little spoon. Toaster? Broken. Oven? Dirty. We have traveled for business, but it was impossible to work with the computer inside the appartment because internet connection (WiFi) worked rally badly or did not work at all. I obtained better results with connection in a coffee bar. Not recommendable at all.
Good location and very nice and friendly staff
Internet sometimes down!
The location was excellent... close to various trams and then not long for city centre. neighbourhood was quite good (not shabby) and there are supermarkets, bars and bakeries around the hotel (so you dont have to take the breakfast for 10€). Enough handtowels. Daily cleaned. Spacious rooms. Its better when you have a room in the building where the reception is (see also below)
I think it depends strongly what room you get. we first had an appartement in the 7th floor and the lift was broken. the next day a handyman came but in the evening the lift still didnt work. the room was also not very clean and a lot of stuff seemed old and about to break (some already broken). we changed to another room where it was much better and better kept, but Im sure they didnt change anything in the first room after we left.
The apartment was good and well equiped but in terms of space i prefer the first apartment i stay in number 31, and this time i was in number 19.
The kitchen door was almost falling off and squeaky. During my 5 day stay no one ie cleaner come to the apartment to collect the bins or change the towels. There should have at least been instruction on where we could empty the bins.
