Hotel Elzenveld    

Absolutely LOVELY hotel! Very charming. Beautiful gardens, interesting historical building. Right in the center of the city. Very good breakfast. So definitely I'm goin there again!

There was some very unpleasant smell in the room the second day - I think coming from the sewerage or so. Had to keep the window open the whole night in despite of the cold. BUt apart from that, everything was just fine.

The environment is so nice. A small garden out side is beautiful. The stuffs are kind. The room is great with a large space.

Great location,I lived in Antwerp until 7 months ago and wanted to be back in the city - the location near the botanics and the historical aspect of this group of buildings and it's own wonderful gardens made this an appealing choice. Generous room size, quiet.

There was no controller for the air-conditioning, and i could not get the skylights to open. It was an exceptionally hot night for Antwerp at (having had a daytime high of 27c), so this all made for a restless and uncomfortable night.

I liked the quiet central location, the courtyard and the history of Elzenveld. Good breakfast. Good value overall.

My room was a bit small.

The hotel is under new management, I believe. Our room had no toilet paper and we had to ask twice for it to be delivered to our room. The quality of the breakfast had markedly deteriorated since our last trip: poor quality cheese and meat now and no scambled egg and smoked salmon, which we were told had been cut. Our room was smaller than the double we had at the same price last time. Also, we were told to be at breakfast on 1st Jan by 10.30 but other people arrived and were served later. Altogether, a poor experience. We probably will not stay at this hotel again; it was so nice in the past. A real pity

The room was very small - monastic cell? There was zero sound proofing between the floors and when I arrived there was music playing in two of the rooms on the floor above, one playing jazz, the other opera... sounds of people walking in the corridor were also very loud. The hotel is also extremely difficult to find. All in all not a hotel to which I would recommend.

De medewerkers zijn zeer aardig en behulpzaam! Ook het ontbijt was prima.

Het "lichtontwerp"in mijn kamer......Jammer hoor,de architect die dit bedacht heeft moet nog een cursus sfeer en stijl volgen. ..maar dit is natuurlijk mijn persoonlijke smaak.

Lovely location not far from the center (10 minutes walk). Good beds and clean bathroom. Nice breakfest. Good value for money.

The hotel doesn't have an own parking place, but enough parking fee possibility nearby.

The staff were great, very helpful. A very clean room in a lovely setting.

The entrance is a little hard to find, but I did arrive in the dark!

Comfortable rooms in interesting old building in convenient city-centre location

Lovely old hotel in a great location, perfect for a weekend away. Very spacious bedroom.

I like that they have a big spacious room. If you're looking for an old, dark, and quiet hotel , here is the place.

The room was very old, with old rugs and the bed was so uncomfortable, feels like sleeping in the floor. They have no air conditioning, only heater in the winter, and the hotel is super old. Again, if you're looking for comfort, don't stay here. Also, the receptionist was a bit rude and ignorant. The hotel location is hard to find, but was quite close to the shopping area once you know it. It is not convenient for taxi drivers and if you bring big luggages, be prepared to pull your luggages through rocks because the only entrance they have is the one with the rocks. This is more like a cheap motel than a hotel / proper residence.

The reception staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. The room warm and clean. 15 min walk from railway station, 10 min walk from the Cathedral. Very good value, all in all. I'm staying there again on my next trip to Antwerp.

Very small single room. Bathroom with no window. But that wasn't a major issue.

Location is great, in a quite garden, within walking distance to the places of interest. Breakfast is good. It would be great if vegetables were served. The receptionist is very helpful.

The wireless service is not stable and my mobile cannot get the access to it.

Central location, historical nature and the fact that we coudl not get safe to work even after they tried and could not, so they upgraded us and room was bigger and greta. Rooms can be small but price good, the buildings are old but had all we needed and while parking was an issue btu once a hotel and got directions easy and cheap at 7 euros per 24 hours, a short walk back to hotel. Breakfast very ncie good selection and service.

First room very small but clean and tidy, be aware of this if getting cheapest room, not their fault we booked it due to cost
