The location was okay, short walk to the main centre The woman who greeted us at reception was very friendly.
The man at reception was quite rude when I paid. The no eating in the room policy was a bit of a pain for two backpackers. The paper-thin pillow gave me an awful neck
I loved the clean spacious room
Great location close to metro system and walking distance from centre. Easy access to Eurostar departures and train to airport. Quiet location near cafes and restaurants.
Rooms very hot and stuffy in summer. Bed very basic and lacking. Noisy guests. Lack of information given at reception desk, which was not staffed 24/24. Entrance rather unwelcoming
Very attentive staff. Breakfast was only 3euro. We were very impressed to see that the hotel accepted a group of special needs adults and do so every year, cooking for them and generally adapting to their needs. This created a homey environment for us and reminded us of the important of this kind of service.
Things didn't work all that well. TV was limited to only a couple of channels we could watch. No flat screen. No BBC or CNN. Bedside lamps didn't work and weren't fixed till we asked twice. There is an elevator but you still have to walk up some stairs on two levels.
I liked our room. It was very cute and small, and exactly what we needed. I really liked the set up for breakfast, and was very pleased with my first night in Europe.
I'd really recommend the hotel. It was very clean, quiet and spacious.
Location next to metro stop Bathroom was clean Good value for money Bed was comfy enough
Hallways look quit depressing Communal areas not the cleanest Breakfast is best skipped
Location, price, service
Didn't spend an extra night there
WiFi was fast enough, 15 minutes by walk from Grand place. Safe neighborhood.
Kind of pricy for the size of the rooms. I Was given a really small single room. But its mostly for people who just wanna sleep for the night and be out sightseeing the next day.
The location and price
There was a guy at the counter who was really helpful. The location was good, you can walk to the center (15 min walk ) or there is a subway just around the corner.
It was too hot and there is no air conditioning or fan. It's kind of old and since it's all covered in carpet the heat concentrated and gives the aspect of dirty but it is not.
- Wifi connection.
- the room didn't have blinds, so it was really difficult to sleep with the street lights. - the street was quite noisy and the window isolation weak, so we had noise the whole night. - Payment with credit card is charged with 1.50 euros extra. - Brussels map is offered at the reception desk for 0.50 euros. - Floor on the corridors presented rubbish.
The location is good, near the metro line Madou and 15 mins walk from Grand Place. The rooms are small but are equipped with everything that a traveler needs. The breakfast was ok
The bathroom had a weird smell and I could feel the smell even after washing my clothes
There is an Ethiopian restaurant just around the corner. The food was good and the owners were very friendly.
Facilities are tired, decor shabby and in need of major refurbishment. Uncomfortable bed and not enough pillows.
We stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of July 2014 for the start of our interrailing trip. Okay we were staying in one of the smallest rooms I've ever seen, I had to take my backpack off to get into the room, but it was all we needed! The staff were polite and helpful and the wi-fi was faster than my student one! Although the room was small, the bunk bed was comfy, apart from there being no bars to keep you in on the top, and everything was kept clean. Towels were changed everyday and the bin was also emptied. There was a cable tv in the room with British channels which enabled us to watch the World Cup and Wimbledon! Optional breakfast was available on any day for 3 euros although we just picked something up from the local supermarket every morning. This hotel is in a quieter area of the city but is an easy 10-15 minute walk into the city centre! A 2 minute walk to the closest metro station which will take you to the Atomium and Mini Europe for a 4 euro return! I would certainly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to save some money (approx £18 pp/pn), it's secure and friend...all you need for a couple of nights stay!
The hotel is in a nice neighborhood, which is quieter than the downtown and at the same time close to almost everything. There is a bunch of very nice restaurants just 5 minutes away walking distance. It's a real residential neighborhood where know each other and after you've spent there some time they start to treat you as one of them.
The mattresses on a double size bad were moving, so sometimes I had to balance on the edge. I would rather use a single mattress instead of two if I were them
very nice personnel, good breakfast, quiet and clean room, good WiFi (in the room)
Very friendly and helpful staff
It is definitely a value-for-money hotel. It is located very close to a metro station and to the bus station to the airport. In addition, the Grand Place is 15 minutes walking distance. Excellent Wi-Fi signal.
The facilities are really old, but this is not a disincentive to stay in this hotel, taking into account its price.
Small and cramp room, stuffs can be more friendly
Simple, clean and cetrally located small hotel with a good breakfast
a bit away from the central fun places
Good location, not far from nord train station. Placed in quiet street. Free Wi-Fi in room Photos: http://dolzhenkov.ru/2014/05/hotel-sabina-bryussel-belgiya/
