everything was fine and room was very comfortable ;)
Localisation is fine
I paid fort a duplex for my children, my wife and I. Arriving there, they say the duplex can not handle an additional bed. Finally I get a standard room ... For the check out, I asked in the morning to keep one hour more before leaving. The receptionist says OK. Coming back to the room, the chambermaid is aggressive and forbiddens the entrance to the room... Zero Organization.
Polite staff Good location-close to local shops
We only booked this hotel as the website said it had free parking-there was no parking at the hotel except for 4 spaces on the road which were occupied all the time. The nearby parking was short distance from the hotel (15 euros for a day) but it was still an inconvenience.
Efficient. Lots of facilities (Gym, Restaurant), very well maintained. Not very far from Bruxelles Midi (central transport hub). Has English papers & TV channels in case you've been travelling for long around Europe.
Finding the hotel can be a bother as the address here is in French but the local street name is in Flemish.
Great location. Friendly staff. Facility needs work. Work on fixtures, curtains, air conditioning and furniture.
Location, staff and clean
Nothing it was wonderful
Location near Grand Sablon Place excellent. Simple room, not 4stars. Bed was a bit too soft. Someone said that there were rooms which could be opened from the outside but that was not true for me. The room was actually closed to the outside, even though I did not lock the door. I didn't try the breakfast because I read it was so bad… but there are lots of places to have a good breakfast nearby (in Grand Sablon Place for example)
Front desk staff was helpful and nice bathroom.
Breakfast staff was awful. Also location is hard to find and its a good ten minute walk to station no matter what they say. Also please say its a 3 star hotel as it does not qualify for 4 stars. You have to walk down stairs to get to the hotel.
- bathroom dirty - no windows to open - minimum of daylight - Wifi very instable, falls out every 10-15 minutes - bar, nice on picture, but in reality not there, at least not used last years - LOOK for better option for such a price !!!!!
Location is ok, close to central station and many historical places
Wifi in room didnt work properly, and hotel personel couldnt find solution for that. Aircondition/heating system didnt work properly; the room was cold...
The only positive thing to say about this hotel is the location; very well set just a few steps away from 'de Zavel' (Sablon).
We ordered a room for 3 persons; the 3rd bed was not set in the room. Upon calling the reception, it appeared to be a couch-bed, the person from the reception came with sheets and left them on the couch, but the bed was not made up when we returned to the hotel. The room was old, many things were broken, very poor for a 4 star hotel!
Breakfast was good. location was good as close to grand place and central station.
Wifi did not work in the room, hadnto go to to use it. Room was OK but not 4 star standard. TV could have been updated to flat screen.
very close to the city centre, it makes it very easy to do sightseeing. Great comfort, very clean and the breakfast is of wide variety and delicious. Definitely we will choose Exe Sablon again next time. Thanks!
Good position, It's a nice 3 stars Hotel, unfortunately it shows 4 stars.
Is definetively not a 4 stars Hotel, maximum 3. The breakfats is not so interesting.
The bathroom equipment TATTEREDLY is needed to be repaired.
Close to the city centre. Relatively quiet location. Friendly staff. Decent breakfast. Nice rooms (especially the suites).
Paid parking during office hours. The suite is ment for 3-4 people, however there one two-person bed on a vide (funny) and a two-person bed-couch, that wasn't prepared for our stay. Nevertheless they fixed that straight away.
Internet connection was poor
We arrived early and able to check in--excellent all the way around! Discount rates on weekend
Very nice hotel, located in the centre of the city. Convenient size of rooms. Very clean. Good breakfast.
Bathroom equipment is a bit outdated.
Breakfast was good.
The tap was rusty in the bathroom. No hanger for the towel in the toilette.
We liked friendly staff on the reception
Location for me was good.
The room was worn-looking. There was no bottle opener for drinks and a bottle of water in the fridge was half empty. I called this to the attention of the concierge who said he woudl tell the maid, but nothing was done. The hotel is too expensive for what it is: good but not great.
Wonderful hotel with a beautiful room and giant bathtub. Beautiful huge floor to ceiling windows, and a fantastic price for such a downtown location! Very quiet too. Really nice staff.
Having a bit more signage so it's easier to find the first time would help.
I am very frustrated after booking this hotel for my mum&dad for a 3 night break away.... Firstly, they advised me that there was no tea/coffee facilities in the room. When they asked at reception they were told that the 'basic' rooms do not have these facilities. So instead of providing them with a kettle for their room they supplied them with coffees, only to be stung with a bill on checkout. How it can be classed as 4* hotel without simple things such as refreshments in all the rooms is bizarre! After being stung with the bill on checkout, a taxi was then arranged for the airport. Only to take them to the wrong airport costing €40 then €170 to take them to the correct airport!!! How reception can be so unhelpful to not check the taxi is taking them to the correct one is disgusting customer service! Or maybe it was all planned to con them out of €210 for taxi's!
The staff was courteous. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was both good and plentiful. The location of the hotel was convenient for seeing Brussels' historic quarter.
The room was a bit tired. It was functional, but dated and not fresh. The room was dark and the furniture and upkeep was not quite up to 4 star quality
