It was so centrally located that I could tour the surrounding areas, shop and then nip back to the hotel and leave my shopping before nipping out again.
It's location was great close to the city. The hotel did a good job of modernising hotel.
access to room at night was difficult as was in darkness. Very slow lift. Can be loud from busy street outside.
great location near grand place, Bourse subway station, new fitted out room comfy bed and great bathroom
The location is really good and in my opinion is the only point positive.
The staff, the rooms are very small with no place for clothes and the remais luggages. We had a triple room and the space was minimum.
easiky accessible good hotel in the city centre.
Location was perfect - right next to Grande Place. The rooms were simple but clean and comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities would have been nice. Breakfast was good but slightly expensive (€15)
One member of staff on reception was unhelpful and very slow at dealing with people's request - 20 mins for check in. The communal areas were 'tired'
It was in a good spot!
It was nothing like the pictures which were very deciving..the staff were not very helpful and the bed was like sleeping on concrete. Awful chocolate theme, especially the doors. It was very off putting
The hotel was a bit hard to find, because of rehabilitation, so the entrance did not look like an hotel entrance, but when we finally got there we got a great room, friendly staff and a perfect location in the middle of the city center with walking distance to everything! The Christmas Market was lovely!
Good location, close to the plaza. There is an irish bar right opposite though which did get pretty loud...
Staff were polite but incredibly slow when checking in a big group
QUE NOS DIERAN HABITACION EN EDIFICIO DE EN FRENTE, SIN COMODIDADES DE HOTEL. ÍBAMOS DECIDIDOS A RESERVAR DESAYUNO, PERO ASI, NO LO HICIMOS, PARA SALIR FUERA DE EDIFICIO, NOS IBAMOS A OTRO SITIO.
Nice room and bathroom with everything you need. Friendly staff. Comfy bed.
Renovation works blocked the elevator during my stay. Thin walls and noises from corridor or other rooms.
Perfect location right in the centre of town Really good shower Clean and big enough for two Could leave my bags in a secure location
It was a bit strange to be in the studio in a building separate from the lobby, but it was fine Lobby was a bit dingy
Very close to Grand Place and metro station; very clean; brand new; spacious and comfortable.
house keeping did not hoover room once, no tea and coffee in room, room facing noisy street, considerable building work being carried out on my floor throughout stay. staff not attentive or friendly. Hotel decor shabby
The hotel is very close to the Grand Place. The room was spacious and renovated. The breakfast has really improved since the last time I stayed there. The staff is very kind.
There was a constant smell from the drainage in the bathrooom, it was really unbearable. The room was located in the front part of the hotel and it was really noisy during the night.
Amazing location between Grand Place and Place Sainte Catherine. 5 min walk from Brussels Central Station and right beside Bourse metro. The staff were very nice and friendly, the room (triple) was in the main hotel and was very warm, clean and newly renovated. They were still renovating the rooms on our floor when we were there, so walking passed the workmen every time you went in and out was a little awkward but they were all nice and quiet. The bathroom was lovely with a nice hot shower. All in all it was an excellent choice of hotel and we couldn't have been happier!
The only issue was that our floor was being renovated so the hall was a bit dusty and there is were workmen around, which the hotel staff never acknowledged.
Very nice hotel (& breakfast) in a great location very close to Le Grand Place. Very clean & great staff (but bathroom was very small!)
Very small bathroom!
Location, Breakfast, the room was quite big with double bad and also quiet, because it was not located on the main street.
The room of may colleague was close to the part of the hotel, where the adaptation was still going on. His room was smaller than mine, but the price was the same. The receptionist called a taxi, which asked 55 eur for a 10 minutes drive to the airport! A rubbery. That's the main reason for the bad score for the staff.
Centrally located with a friendly staff.
Way too loud for a family with bar noise going until 4am, very poor wifi connectivity, and the two extra beds may work for kids but for an adult they were not comfortable at all.
Selected staff (Maddy) tried to be helpful
When I arrived to check in I had to go backwards and forwards between the reception and the apartments (30 m away) because in both of the first two apartments allocated the HEATING DID NOT WORK and the apartments were frozen. Finally, I had to wait in reception whilst Maddy, who was very helpful, did a tour of apartments to find one which one did have working heating. DONT ACCEPT AN APARTMENT with storage heating. The apartments are very poor value for money and in particular DONT HAVE BREAKFAST HERE. The are disgusting and atrocious value for money at 15 euros. The breakfast room is a like a battery hen cage with all tables cramped together with no room for anyone to walk between. They even didnt have enough cups available to drink their extremely bad and cold coffee. When I complained about the breakfast on checking they refused to give any sort of refund or discount.
Pro is location right in heart of pedestrian zone: easy walking to Grand Place, Bourse, and multiple city bus tour pick-up spots. Hotel suite (located across street from hotel) very spacious for European standards. Fit family of 4 perfectly, and kitchenette/dining table nice.
Con is location too. Casino and bar located next to hotel and so late night noise of loud people carried like a bullhorn to our window ... couldn't sleep first night at all.
Location! Room - we had a studio flat Wifi was good Heating was great (v. cold outside)
No hot water for two days but we were moved rooms Staff were unhelpful, quite often grumpy or on the phone ignoring customers For the price you get no breakfast, but worth eating out as Paul's bakery is opposite
Room on 3rd floor v newly done. Bed comfy, good size tv V large walk in shower though screen needs to be a big bigger as water ends up on the floor. Great location
So two weeks ago upgraded to an apartment next door. This time I got the single room. Corridor needs finishing & lifts need refurb deco wise and reception not yet done - so a bit grubby looking but not actually grubby
Recently attended for a visit to the Christmas markets, and the hotel was ideal. We had an enjoyable stay.
At the time the hotel was undergoing some renovations so some of the corridors were like a building site. The halls can be a bit noisey at night but no major issue over all. The rooms are quite small though so be prepared for a tight squeeze!
work during day, smell, looks very old
