Sofitel Brussels Le Louise  

This hotel lives up to the brand Sofitel: luxurious, very friendly staff, trendy, immaculate from lobby to rooms down to the smallest detail, very comfortable beds. Check-in and check-out were a breeze.

Rather small rooms compared to other Sofitel hotels and no bath (even the deluxe room where I slept). However, the design of the rooms is very efficient and the spacious rainshower made me forget about the missing bath. Location: in a shopping area and very close to a metro station, but a 25 minute walk from the Grand Place (if you're in good shape). One more thing: internet access is not included in the price (even though on Booking.com, it was indicated that this was included).

The lobby is decorated with life-sized photos of seductive naked young men - from the mid-groin up. Not the best decor for a family. It made us uncomfortable .

Very modern room. Great on the details (Loccitane products in the bathroom for instance). The lounge bar of the hotel (Crystal) is very nice and trendy, even though the drinks are overpriced. Very close to av Louise and fancy shopping street.

Breakfast is too expensive. We prefered having breakfast some place else.

I have one negative thing about this hotel. After booking the rooms the hotel picked up extra amount from our bill. It took several days to return this sum. Also at the moment of check in they blocked 600 euro in our card as a deposit for 2 rooms. We can't use this money for aproximately 30 days.

The staff was great and very helpful. The room was spacious and well decorated. There is a nice lounge and outdoor bar that was pretty loud until 2-3 am, so if you like to sleep early and have a room facing that area you may have a problem. We were up so it didn't bother us much.

Location was a little far from the city center, especially when it's cold outside. It's a very easy metro ride but the metro stops running around midnight so if you miss it you have to walk or find a cab.

Sofitel Brussels Le Louise was probably one of the best hotels I have stayed in. It is the first time I have stayed in a Sofitel hotel, and i will definitely be looking out for these everywhere I go now. Everything from the minute we walked through the door was very impressive. I was there with my girlfriend for 2 nights on a weekend break, and couldn't have asked for more. Beautifully designed, extremely clean rooms with high quality bathroom, Big TV, very helpful, friendly staff, superb location and the most comfortable bed i've slept in for a while. They even have a leaflet in there explaining the lengths they have gone to, to make the beds as comfy as they are. Amazing. Well done Sofitel, you are everything I want in a hotel, for an excellent price.

The hotel is very expensive while not offering anything special. The rooms are not very big, the breakfast was very expensive and not particularly good. Briefly, not a good value for money.
