My wife and I only stayed for one night but I would thoroughly recommend this hotel. The room was not the biggest we have ever been in but this seems to pretty standard for Oostende Hotels. Other than that the room was great and perfectly acceptable after all we were only sleeping in it. Very clean and comfortable. Loads of free toiletries etc. They do a brilliant coffe in the Cafe/restaurant. We did not try the restaurant but it seemed very popular. The Hotel is very central to a large selection of restaurants. Breakfast was a tryical continental breakfast and perfectly adequate. It would have been nice to have been able to make some toast but that is us British for you; All in all a lovely hotel.

The location was great, as the room overlooks the port and the lighthouse. Without a view (if you order a room without a view) it would be just a simple room, not the best, in an ok hotel. The maritime mood it creates excuses some disadvantages of the room itself. The breakfast is relatively poor; no lock on the bathroom door in the room (it wasn't a disadvantage for me). The main thing is the noise - if you get a room with a port view you'll get this view but you'll also get the noise of the main street where motorcycles don't stop driving around all night long and a big garbage car comes around 5:45 am. Don't forget your ear plugs! I still don't recommend staying in the middle of the city without a sea view because you may lose this wonderful mood.

zeer goede ligging voor wat wij van plan waren, vlak aan station en aan de trap, centrum vlakbij. zicht ophaven zoals aangekondigd viel tegen, kamers niet zeer groot, maar wel functioneel: goed voor kort verblijf. Ontbijt was goed.

J'ai tout aimé!!!! La chambre rénovée avec une magnifique salle de bain, la proprté de la chambre (mention spéciale à la femme d'ouvrage), le buffet petit-déjeuner trés trés varié, la vue depuis la chambre et la salle de bain;,,, tout était parfait!!!! Je reviendrais...

De ontvangst was erg vriendelijk. Het personeel nam de tijd om tekst en uitleg te geven over de mogelijkheden van het hotel en de stad. Het bed viel enigzins tegen, ik weet dat hotelkussens vaak erg zacht zijn en het was goed dat er meerdere lagen zodat je zelf kon kiezen maar ik vond het matras ook niet lekker liggen.

La proximité avec la gare (2 min à pied) et le centre ville (rue commerçante à 3 min à pied et centre entre 5 et 10 min). Je connaissais la ville et j'ai choisi en connaissance de cause malgré l'absence de vue sur la plage (qui a généralement ma préférence). Petit déjeuner buffet assez varié (pains différents, charcuteries, fromages, confitures et miel, céréales + oeufs brouillés) Seulement 2 jus de fruits (orange + multifruits) mais ok pour moi. J'aurais aimé du lard avec les oeufs. Café, thé, chocolat chaud comme boissons. Service efficace. La fenêtre était ouverte le premier jour, je ne m'en suis pas rendue compte (la tenture venait devant l'ouverture). C'était très bruyant le lendemain matin (route de passage devant l'hôtel) et j'ai été réveillée tôt. J'ai fermé la fenêtre la nuit suivante et les fenêtres isolaient bien du bruit. L'ouverture de la fenêtre aurait dû être plus visible, ou un petit mot sur le lit

La salle de bain de la petite suite est splendide (très grande). Le buffet petit déjeuner est bien sans être exceptionnel. Bonne situation général mais l'autre bout de la digue (Tea room et restaurants) sont assez éloigné. Possibilité de manger au restaurant de l'hôtel en ajoutant les consommations sur la note de l'hôtel. Prix du restaurant de l'hôtel bien au dessus de la moyenne. Vue du port un peu décevante (de la chambre).
