Because we stayed outside of town our food was less like the town tourist food. The restaurant on the corner was excellent. Very close to train station.
A little noisy a night.
This is a very pleasant and slightly quaint small hotel. Staff were warm, friendly and helpful. There seems to be an issue with drains and plumbing which is hard to avoid! Hotel bedrooms would benefit from some modernisation but we would happily stay here again. Also, good off road parking fine for motorbikes.
See previous re smell!
The hotel was near the centre of Brugge, and local transport. The lady that served the breakfast was charming and helpful
Guests that gave little thought to others, like moving furniture around during the night or making a lot of noise.
great breakfast, wifi works perfectly, very cute lady-owner, nice rooms, great location, all in all very pleased with this hotel.
shame about a shared bathroom and no way to check-in out of the specified hours, everything is simply closed.
Location was 10 minutes walking from the center of town.
E100 was way too much for this tiny room with no wardrobe, or mirror, and we had to share the bathroom! The breakfast was nothing special. You rated it as 2 *'s but the tourist bureau in Bruges rated it 1* at the bottom of the list of hotels!!!!!!
Location Friendly staff Good size family room
Lovely old and very quaint hotel with fabulous food and the staff very extremely friendly. Not to far to walk to the centre. Would go there again.
Not sure about not having a door on the bathroom, maybe could put a sliding door across, ok if you are quite cosy with your partner, some people like their privacy.
The food was great and the location was fabulous. The staff was friendly.
We weren't crazy about sharing a bathroom but it worked out well. Unfortunately our timing had us stay on a Monday when the kitchen was closed.
It is ideally located between the train station, less than 10 mins walk & the town centre, 15 mins walk, where the crowd gathers. We enjoyed the breakfast served and wished we could have our other meals at their restaurant which was closed.
No lift to the room & toilet/bathroom are shared. Quad room is rather cramp for 4 adults. No CNN or BBC news & interesting channels. available during our stay. Access thru the back, passing the toilets, is rather unsightly. Dimmed stairways. Need to grope around to switch on the lights which automatically switched off after a short while.
Where to begin? The staff and owners are so friendly, interesting and accommodating; the location is fantastic, so close to the train station but only a 10 minute walk to the Grand Place; the room was brilliantly quaint and clean; the facilities were pretty good, especially the wifi. In short, I will definitely return and highly recommend this hotel - and the restaurant!
Good spot within reasonable walk of the centre with car park. Very friendly staff, could not fault them.
Top floor room a tricky climb and HOT. I didn't mind the shared shower and toilet. Sink in the room but no plug. Otherwise fine, did I mention how HOT the top floor room was. Well it was HOT!!!
really good restaurant also
Great overall. I would recommend this place and come back again.
I think the breakfast should be a part of the family room option, instead of needing to pay separately for it.
Very excellent location and stuff
Location to Brugge centre, free parking availability and excellent restaurant.
Lovely stay in walking distance of the old historic town. The room was full of mosquitos when we arrived (no wonder with the warm weather and water everywhere) we asked for help and the landlady ensured the room was sprayed before we returned from our walk into town. No problems after that and we slept really well. We did not eat our evening meal in the hotel but the food looked great. Breakfast was good too and plenty.
Location is great if you are looking for something close to the train station and don't mind walking to the city center - about 10-15 minutes. It's a very cute place and the breakfast was great.
No elevator and my room was on the third floor. No one offered to help me with my heavy suitcase, so that was a bit of a pain.
location and friendly staff
Room is very congested .
The position. The breakfast was nice.
It was difficult to check in,we had to walk down the road and find the person to talk to. There was no pillow cases, is that normal for Brugge. The hotel cleaning staff took our washer and we did not get enough towels for the second night.
Close to the Station Very pretty
Stairs Got the impression the restaurant was the focus of their attention, not the rooms!
Staff was so helpful and friendly, definitely a good idea to eat dinner at the hotel too! Great and authentic Flemish food. We had an early train and Yuka (sp?) was kind enough to leave food out for us before breakfast.
The breakfast was excellent and location was close to ring road and train station. Staff very friendly, polite and helpful. Free car parking and wi-fi.
Could do with a lick of paint but was quirky in an old fashioned way. Restaurant not open Mondays or Tuesday. Facilities limited but hotel is only one star rated so not a problem for a short stay.
Location and friendly staff.
Family room is a bit small, not spacious.
