Visiting Flanders for the 100 year anniversary of my great grandfathers death in world war 1. Booked this b&b for my parents, brothers, uncle & my children. Perfect location for visiting the sites! Beautiful, comfortable accommodation. And delicious breakfast!!! Made the trip very enjoyable! 10/10
Room was comfortable. A good quiet area. Decent bed. Good buffet breakfast. Easy to find.
Was advertised as having a sauna but this was not available. As this was one of the main reasons for booking this hotel, felt this should have been pointed out prior to confirmation of booking. I would have then chosen a different hotel. When searching ticked spa on requirements. I had been driving for 300 miles and needed to relax.
Plenty of parking and location ideal for purpose but glad only booked one night as would have had to move on regardless given the negatives.
The complete lack of privacy in our room as just next to reception area so could hear every visitor checking in meaning in return they could also hear us! Bathroom smelt musty and only had a hand held shower attachment on the bath. Bed extremely uncomfortable and bedding too 'well loved' with lumpy cushions as pillows, bobbled wool blanket for warmth and grubby throw... Wifi unreliable and of low strength... Despite booking room because it stated no pets, their own cats wandered in and out causing allergy issues including itching and asthma related problems... Sadly our room felt dirty and long overdue an update so feel unable to recommend and would not return
Nice room, very nice bathroom, quiet location, park for the children and plenty of green space to run around, ggod location for day trips around Belgium and Northern France, close to major road networks
Excellent breakfasts. The garden is perfect for playing football or cricket, and with the playground for anything indeed. Just for sitting enjoying the country fields or reading a book.
The village is not very good in services. Also, we found rather difficult the access from the motorway, but that might be just us.
Hosts & Room comforts Very helpful, good breakfast. Not really much to point out
Road noise, poor wifi.
An in-bathroom sauna .. altho' too busy being a toursit to actually use it!! B'fast .. super selection .. and enough bakery products to feed the 5,000 ..all it needed were 2 fishes !!
Water pressure to shower seriously reduced on Sun morning .. might have been due to additional demand from other guests staying in the barn conversion block I was staying in .. ??
If you want a different experience, this is a place to stay. Friendly folks, excellent breakfast, comfortable accommodations.
Not easy to find due to lack of road markings but that is Belgium once you get off the main highways
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. There was a good selection at breakfast. All in all, a very enjoyable experience that I will repeat one day :)
Children really enjoyed activities
Furnishings a bit dated
Would have liked a kettle in the room to make tea or coffee
The staff is very nice and the breakfast is delicious.
Good size room, nice breakfast room, handy for Ypres and ww1 sites, but quiet and in farm setting
Location. Great for visiting Ypres and a good base for exploring the area. Good road links. Quadruple comfort room was airy, clean and spacious and great for families with Older Children. Friendly and helpful owners.
Breakfast was expensive at 10 euros per person. 40 euros would of bought similar breakfast for a 3 - 4 night stay.
Nice quiet location, very clean and friendly hosts. Good base to visit the Tour de France & Great War memorials and museums. Adequate breakfast. Wifi included.
Bed was a bit soft, room was a bit dated but very clean.
Great playground for the children!
Lovely village, good patisserie, delicatessen. Lucky to be there for the end of Elite cycle road race in middle of the village. Room clean, spacious, on a working farm with plenty of gardens, grounds to relax on.
The shared area had dirty dishes for the two days we were there and there was a damp smell from the bathroom
Nice spacious unit with good kitchnette and large modern bathroom.
Everything about this family run hotel is commendable. The staff are very positive and service minded, the rooms have character and the breakfast is delicious.
Great family run hotel on a small farm on the edge of town. Short walk to De Witte Molen for tea. Quite location, friendly staff, and ample breakfast.
staff were great, breakfast good, location and hotel nice
rooms a bit querky, could hear next door, stairs in room not good for kids or unsure
