Hotel Ter BrugheOost Gistelhof 2, 8000 Bruges (Show map) Very good, Score from 723 reviews“It is a beautiful building in a lovely location.”
Laurence,
London
Romantically located along a canal, Ter Brughe is only an 8-minute walk from the Market Square. Breakfast is served in a vaulted cellar with views of the water. The rooms can be reached by stairs, as there is no elevator, and have a private bathroom with a bathtub. There is Wi-Fi access and you can borrow hairdryers and adapters at the front desk. When weather is nice, you can sit among the plants on the terrace or get a local beer in the bar. Hotel Ter Brughe is in the peaceful quarter of St.Gillis, near the 14th century Augustijnen Bridge. There are various restaurants and bars in the surrounding area. Hotel Rooms: 46

This hotel is truly a gem. The hotel is unique and has all of the wonderfully 'un-conventional' little nuiances...the occasional uneven floor, the stairs that seem to go on forever, the doors that open onto a cellar, etc. It was spotlessly clean and the service perfect. Each room offers a pleasant design, antique wardrobe and a comfortable bed (with fresshly ironed linens). We were lucky enough to have a room with two windows that opened onto the canal where we sat and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the beautiful swans. The breakfast was presented nicely and was far more than the normal breakfast fare. The freshly baked bread was a special treat especially because the aroma of its baking served as our alarm clock each morning. We are already planning on a return trip to this Hotel and to this beautiful city.

The Ter Brughe is a true find. You can relax in a clean and beautuful building. The staff are helpful but not overbearing. The breakfast room is fantastic overlooking the canal and often frequented by swans and ducks. It is close enough to the town square to be convenient but far enough away to be quiet. We have been here five times now and will return next time we are in Bruges. Thank you for a lovely place to stay. There is nothing I dislike about the Ter Brughe. We will be back :-)

The building and location was magnificent. The breakfast first rate. The way you treated us when we had to alter our original stay to a later date due to being snowed in in England, was brilliant you understood it was beyond our control and changed our dates with no increased cost,Thank you very much. I`m going to remember the hotel for its lovely quiet atmosphere and a nice breakfast room which gives an excellent view on the canal below. Enjoying your breakfast while watching swans on the quiet water surface right next to the window can truly start off your day with already a wonderful experience and a peaceful mind.

Loved the listed building. The service was great and the room as well as the bathroom were very spacious. beautiful location and loved the fact that all the listed details are well preserved. The people are very nice. I managed to get the canal facing room and loved the calm serene view outside. the location is perfect since it is in the city centre but a 10 minute walk away from the market square. this gives it the space and calmess but at the sametime very well connected. Managed to park for free on the streets during weekend next to the hotel but you need to change the timing every 4 hours during the day. there is nothing that i didn't like. please keep the service, the smiles and the quality the way it is.

Unique and excellent accommodation that was well placed for the city centre but offered a secluded style. The service was excellent on all accounts.

We were delighted with Hotel Ter Brughe - the location was lovely - out of the city centre, but just a ten minute walk away. The hotel staff were efficient and helpful, the room clean and comfortable with a view over the canal; there was a good choice of food for breakfast. I would certainly go back there if Ievr return to Bruge and would have no hesitation in recommending it to friends. .

The hotel's location - close to the inner city of Brugge - directly on a canal - the rooms looking over the canal - the age of the building (medieaval) and they provided a garage. The breakfast was adequate and the service was friendly and efficient. Would recommend without hesitation.

Wonderful classic architecture. We had large windows opening on to the canal. They provided a repellent in case of mosquitos!! Great breakfast!

“What a lovely suprise the Flanders was. If you read enough on the 'net you can end up really confusing yourself, but I can honestly say everything about our stay, the room, the staff, the location and the breakfast exceeded our expectations. Room was well proportioned, warm and welcoming with spotless bathroom and comfortable (oversize) bed. Our late arrival made the late check-in and tea-making facillities a lifesaver! Staff were very helpful and the location was five minutes from central Bruges - Hotel Flanders really made our stay one to remember. ” Michael, Liverpool |
