Although we only saw the owner and his daughter fleetingly, when we arrived, briefly at breakfast the following morning and when we checked out, they seemed very pleasant. The bed was very comfortable. It was very difficult to find after dark, even with our family who live in Aalst. The building itself was "interesting" though it had no lift and we were up 4 flights of wooden stairs. The room was very basic, nothing matched, There were no face flannels, no bar of soap and plastic tooth mugs. We were left to our own devices at breakfast which was a buffet breakfast - not sure this was made clear beforehand. Rolls and croissants not particularly fresh, not sure if there were facilities for toast. All very much self service. I thought it was vastly overpriced for what it offered even at the "special price" we supposedly were given on line. It was very austere and had absolutely no atmosphere. |

Very quiet,spotlessly clean,good location with excellent secure parking.This establishment has loads of character and is a short walk to the main square.Really good breakfast. |

Car parked in total safety. Access to railway station with excellent rail links to Brussels and Ghent; very economical fares. Very unusual and interesting house. Complete freedom to come and go. €10 per day car parking fee. Although this is made quite clear on the booking form it seems a bit steep. There is also an additional 6% city tax over and above the fee. Again this is made clear on the booking form. |

Excellent staff. Excellent is an overused word but it applies here. We felt very welcome, very relaxed, very comfortable. We needed a place to stay for something we were doing in the local area but we would not hesitate to go back just to stay there, relax and enjoy the city. Really nice location. The owner has tried to create a "family atmosphere" and has succeeded completely. |

Very nice place. Very friendly personnel. Bathrooms could need some refurbishing but generally a very interesting and calm place to stay. |

The attention of the owner; the comfort of the (free) business centre. Better than most 4 star hotels. Breakfast was acceptable, but you can't compare a B&B with a 4 star hotel. And the owner had prepared me a freshly squeezed orange juice, which I really appreciated. |

De locatie. Het slechtste bed ooit. Het is er ontzettend gehorig. De kamers zijn armoedig ingericht. Zelfs het beddengoed was een bij elkaar geraapt zooitje. En het ontbijt was erg beperkt. |

we kregen meteen een huissleutel zodat we na het congres en feest ook binnen konden zonder anderen te storen. De parking achter het verblijf en de verse broodjes ! Badkamer was niet zo praktisch ingericht. |

Zeer goede locatie, rustig en toch pal in het centrum. Voor wie eens een dagje wil gaan winkelen in Aalst is dit ideaal. Ook op relatief korte rij-afstand van Gent, Brussel en Antwerpen vrij sobere kamers |

De ligging van het hotel, wij zochten iets in de buurt van Aalst Ik vond het jammer dat je 's avonds niet even wat kon drinken in het hotel, er was geen ruimte om even te ontspannen. |

zeer rustig gelegen (tuinzijde) hotel met ruime kamers in centrum stad. Vriendelijke ontspannen service. mede door de hoge buitentemperatuur was en bleef het (ook) erg warm in de kamer. |
