Score from 1430 reviews Good
Friendly and very helpful staff, nice, spacious and comfortable rooms, fast wifi and 10 mins walking from the centre.
Some rooms are in a different building, which is and looks quite old (rooms are spacious, clean and stylish though!). For some the location could be a minus, being in the middle of a red light neighbourhood, although the working ladies were never "pushy". This might be uncomfortable for a family with children though.
The room was comfortable and clean but a bit noisy as it was on the first floor and in the streets around there are prostitutes all the day and night...
The concierge told me that my room was in another building but he gave me wrong instructions and I had to go back to the main building and not even he said sorry! Wifi not always working
poor wifi signal
Only a 10 minute walk from the grand market Recently renovated rooms Room was tidy and nice Very competetively priced
Neighborhood with hookers on the corner of the streets Would be nice if the reception was more interested.
The rooms were nice, spacious. We got the top most room in the adjacent building. The bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean and well fitted. Bed was comfortable, lively area, we managed to park for free! Really helpful and friendly staff!
Wifi in our room was spotty. No lifts! Had to carry 3 bags all the way up. To be fair they did offer a basement room but we preferred not to take it.
Good location near metro station
Hotel is obviously in the red district, could be anoying if you return to hotel late
The hotel offers good value for money. It's 200m from a metro station and I was given a studio apartment for the price of a budget hotel room. Breakfast was good and staff were pleasant.
The hotel is in the middle of the red light district and is split in two - the main hotel and an annex around the corner. I arrived late at night and ran the gauntlet of prostitutes to get to the annex. I think some solo travellers would find this daunting and uncomfortable.
Close to the metro, relatively cheap.
Bad and noisy neighborhood, unstable WiFi.
good location (15 minutes walk to Grand place) nice, clean rooms good price for value fair breakfast helpful staff
bed a bit too soft for my back soundproofing not perfect area full of prostitues (kind of red ligth disctrict)
nice room us flats
Nothing at all _
The staff was rude, neighborhood with prostitutes, very scary! No elevator, no air-condition. Please be carrefull if your are going to choose this hotel. I wouldn't recommend to anyone!!!!!
Nice and large room for cheap fares.
red light neighbourhood, could be unsettling for someone.
Convenient location - close to metro, Nord railway station with connection to airport. Staff were friendly and most helpful
Not easy to find - stairs could be a problem for travelers with luggage
Rooms were large, clean and comfortable,
Bit of a walk to the main attractions, Rooms were in separate buildings, area not the best
Location and the spacious room.
Noise from the other apartment early in the morning.
Bed bugs in beds. Very active prostitution on street all through night. Disgusting
My wife and I where given a free upgrade to a suite as we where 'staying longer than other people usually do'. This was very kind of them and it made all the difference as we could buy food and cook for ourselves.
The area is well-used by 'ladies-of-the-night' however, if this does not bother you, they won't disturb you. In-fact it was useful having them there because if we got lost we knew to 'turn left' (or right) at the 'ladies', to find our accommodation. :-)
- very stable and fast wi-fi - realy large room and bathroom - situated near gare du nord - good and suite condition of the room (+new furniture)
- district (there are many prostitutes in the street) - problems with drain in the shower (was clogged) - euro-sockets (with protruding grounding)
The Hotel was clean tidy and well presented, the staff helpful and beds comfortable for a stop-over.
It was located in the red light district which meant being propositioned by four or five ladies when transferring suitcases to or form the car. They had run out of kettles for the rooms so we had to boil water for tea in the one pan supplied with the kitchen.
We didn't like that is not vehicle friendly in fact almost impossible to park. Nor the fact the room was described as a suite leading us to believe there we 2 rooms with a bed settee in one of them. In fact it was an L shaped room with a double and 2 twins & no privacy.
Localisation was rather good - near to city centre. The hotel room was really clean. The personel was helpful.
Unfortunately it is located on red light street, but we didn't have unpleasant situation. There was only one shop where we could buy food.
The rooms are very large and clean, with tv, frigo and good wifi.
after reading reviews about there being "girls" around, we were skeptical. once we checked in, we found the apartment to be quite reasonable for what we paid, clean, and nice enough, would stay again, the "girls" we found not to be an issue at ALL, didnt bother you, kept to themselves..location is not far from centre, within walking distance to all you need, staff were very good! would stay there again no questions!
would of been good if we had a fridge as there was a hob and all for cooking, just no fridge to keep things cold.....otherwise, nothing negative!
Location was great since we were in walking distance to the train station, restaurants, bars, shopping, parks, and sightseeing spots! The Employees were extremely helpful and friendly. Even though we were across the street from a brothel the prostitutes were very friendly and did not harass anyone. They actually helped us out. We left our window open to our car and took off for a bit. They watched the car and as soon as we came back they told us our window was down, and saved us from having anything stolen!!! VERY HAPPY ABOUT THAT!!! We were given two room offers when we arrived. Since we were traveling with kids they wanted to give us some extra space. They let me choose between the suite and the 2 bedroom apartment. We took the apartment. This was a great place to stay for the money especially since it only being a 2 star hotel. The beds were very comfortable. They had a fan for us to use in the room at no extra cost. Free WiFi Decent Breakfast. I would definitely recommend this Hotel!
Across the street from a brothel.
Lovely room, huge. Nice bathroom (although has only a shower curtain which meant a bit of water on the floor). Nicely decorated, although could do with coffee/tea facilities (there is more than enough room for this). Overall, fine. Value for money.
This hotel/hostel is directly across the road from a brothel. I made the mistake of not reading the reviews! To be fair, the ladies working on the street did not bother us, and there was no noise or disruptions, but the hostel front door does not lock and then there is only a stairway and no additional security up to the rooms. I think families would not be suited to this property. Also no lift and very steep stairs. Wi-fi a bit weak. Terrible pillows.
