The hotel was nice and quiet and very clean and smart. It was close to the station and the shops. Breakfast was good and there was a choice of cooked food, cereals and yoghurts. The street that the hotel was on was not on the main road, which meant it felt a bit run down.. it was okay and safe though but you did feel a bit out of the way.. The hotel was the gem in the street. I would stay there again though despite this.

This was my second stay at the Astoria. It in every way mirrored my previous stay in terms of comfort, convenience, courtesy and assistance of staff. The included breakfast is good quality. Its location is excellent.

The location was brilliant - a lovely walk into the old centre, down an interesting shopping street. Hotel staff quickly sorted out where we could park and suggested places to visit too. The room was comfortable and large and well equipped with a kettle. Breakfasts were plentiful with both hot and cold food available and served in a pleasant area. The hotel manager visited each group of guests during breakfast to welcome them and check all was ok with their stay, conversing it seemed to us, in several different languages as fitted each group of guests. Although a kettle was provided in the room, only two coffee sachets were provided and when we asked for more at reception were told that enough was provided for a "welcome" drink only. However, we were provided with addtional sachets after our request. As breakfasts were so plentiful and the hotel facilities good, the meagre coffee supplies surprised us.

The facility to buy panini, sandwiches etc and warm them in the microwave oven or toaster found in the reception. Provision of free croissants and free mulled wine. Tea and coffee making facilities ( including free tea, coffee, sugar, creamer) in the room. The fact that the charge to park the car in the hotel's private car park is exhorbitantly high. Also the fact that it did not have a restaurant.

First time I have to pay first up on arrival ! The carpett in the room was really stained, the joints from the tub are blackened. There was a lot of cigarette butts on the floor at the entrance of the hotel which is not very which is not very engaging.

I liked the location, the breakfast was excellent! Over all seems to be well run with a few maintenance issues.... I was given....in my opinion, the worst room in the building. I assume it was because I originally had only booked for one night. I had called ahead a few days earlier to request a second night. If I had not already unpacked and and I did not realize this until that evening when trying to sleep...I Would have requested a room change. It was right over the garage door, which was very noisy when it constantly opened and closed. The "free wi-fi" access didn't reach the (my) rooms...so why bother with free if it is unusable.......just saying, false advertising. The rooms are comfortable, but a bit shabby and worn....the tub in my room was chipped and rusted...the price was reasonable, but it was by far the worst room I had on my trip through Belgium...I Kinda felt taken advantaged of for the price.

Budget priced hotel a couple blocks from the train station (took train to Milan and Michele as day trips and also walked our own luggage to the train station upon departure which saved taxi fare). It's a good value if you're going to be gone most of the day with sight-seeing. Within easy walking to shopping and restaurants. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Free breakfast included was good. Mini-market nearby. It is 2 blocks off the main street and outside approach is not "glamorous" due to other buildings around it, but hotel is "modern" looking and well maintained.

The staff, especially Miriam in reception, were extremely helpful, polite, courteous, and friendly. I really can´t imagine staying at any other hotel in Antwerp after this - it will be Astoria every time.

I always find the staff extremely friendly and obliging and have never had bad stay in this hotel. Breakfast selection could be expanded - particularly the pastries

Nice clean room. Smiling, friendly, and welcoming staff. An initial mix- up with our room was sorted quickly and we ended up with a nicer room. Very nice breakfast buffet. Tea/Coffee making facilities in the room were not renewed after first day of arrival. On enquiry was told it was just an initial "welcome" for guests (although extra tea/coffee/milk etc was freely available if we wanted it)

I have been visiting Antwerp for a number of years and have stayed at several hotels. I will now be using the Astoria as my first choice for future trips. It is an outstanding city centre hotel at an unbelievable price. Highly recommended.

The staff was very helpful and available 24h a day, The rooms were very nice and cozy, Very close to the central train station and the shopping district. The street the hotel is situated in doesn't seem the safest to walk around, but you can exit it to the main road quite quickly. Sadly, there's now lounge bar in the hotel, but there is one very close to it, and you receive a 10% discount.

A very good hotel ? a bit iff the "beaten track" but otherwise ok, I must must compliment you on your Buffet breakfast, I have not seen better in 5 star hotels we have visited, well done! Thank you for an enjoyable stay over
