Century Hotel  

It is not acceptable to pretend payment when checking in. Staff could be more friendly. Low quality things for breakfast, it is not one of a *** hotel.

Price was good, staff was very friendly, great breakfast, in front of the train station.

Everything was good

Location - if you need to use trains and/or public transport, many restaurants and bars around. WiFi - fast and reliable, provided by t- Mobile Clean No-nonsense approach

My single room (even named DeLuxe!!!) was way too small. It was a cold winter in Amsterdam, however, it was impossible to get it somehow warmer in the room.

We booked twin rooms but when we got there were told we had to take rooms with double beds. Were were not couples!!

I like its family room and breakfast, its warm and sufficient for us all. Walking distant to central station and stretch of shopping and food outlets and convenient stores. Beautiful buildings especially the Cathedral.

It was a good location and close to railway station. The only thing was it could do with tea/coffee in the rooms. We only had to phone reception once when we had a lot of noise, of which the hotel did offer to move us, but we thought we would stay where we were as the noise stopped after 15 mins of phoning reception. Apart from that hotel was clean and tidy and we liked the hotel and would stay there again

The location was good, just outside the train station and the breakfast was decent

The service was terrible, the room was small and with a even smaller window with a view towards the central heater, the towels were stained and with holes in them...the athmosphere also very bad

The price is good and it's very close to the Centraal Station.

The breakfast is poor, the room is very small and even the receptionist told us that smoking is not allowed, in my room it was a horrible smell of smoke.

Factory style

Location and price are good. It's a perfect place to crash for the night at. Rooms are a bit dark, but comfy. Wifi generally works, but is not sized for more tech people hanging around.

Staff was very friendly, but inflexible. That's the first hotel where I was refused to get the invoice the evening before, even though the room was paid at 100% on day one. As you can guess - the procedure in the morning didn't take '10 seconds' as explained. It's good that we've left enough buffer not to miss the train. They tried also to present us with a higher price than the reservation was booked on. However I account that more on the lack of experience in the staff rather than on a purposefull intent.

Genera speaking this hotel is good.

Anyhow this hotel pay much attention to money. Even though we live 3nights,the fourth nights we didnot live, they charged us. Many thanks of the grop of Booking.com at last they chanaged our reservation from 4nights to 3nights.

The staff was very nice. Also the breakfast room had plastic bowls and spoons for kids as well as a play area for children- both very good ideas that more hotels should adopt.

This hotel is very ugly and has zero charm. It is very expensive for what it offers which is not a lot other than location near the train station. A total renovation is needed. Our room reeked of smoke. The bedcovers were horrible as were the beds. Our family room consisted of four single beds. So my husband and I had to sleep with our two beds pushed together and he nearly fell to the floor in the middle of the night. The breakfast was horrible- bad bread, bad tea, low quality everything. The hotel is right across from the train station which is convenient but ugly neighborhood.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Very near to the Central train station, ideal for having the hotel as a base and traveling to other destinations. Good breakfast buffet to start your morning. Room space for 3 persons was fine.

Blanket and cover sheets were not clean. Bath towels had a weird smell.
