Very nice, old stylish hotel with friendly owner Mrs. Mireille. Pretty good breakfast. If you would like to live in old fashion, historic atmosphere - choose this hotel. You can get this place from train station by bus 12, till Grote Markt , then go back on the same bus's way, turn right on the second street (about 5 min walking) Too thin walls, you can hear your neighbors ....but for 17th century building I think it's ok

Employees, well mannered and polite. Location was excellent, right next to the Market square. But the building itself is very old, the stairs were all crooked and there is no elevator (lift). Breakfast was plentiful. There is no wifi but the hotel next door has it for free so you just need to stand right at the doors of the other hotel to pick up the signal. Great location, plenty of shopping areas around, lots of restaurants too. Building is old and needs repair, no elevator for those who need it, this hotel is not for you. Smoking is not allowed, but I could smell the cigarette stench all night long, I complained and was told that it was allowed to smoke with the windows open. I wasn't happy about that because I am super sensitive to the smell. Besides all this, the rest are good memories.

We were greeted at reception by Mireille, who went above and beyond with trying to help us out. Definitely the warmest welcome we could of received. She aimed to accommodate each and every one of us by ensuring the rooms and beds were perfect. We were also provided with suggestions of the best things to do in Bruges.Perfect location 15 minutes from the train station

We stayed in this hotel and enjoyed our stay very much. It's a good value for money, the room was nice and clean, good size of the bathroom, and the hotel is just a minute walk from the central square. The owner is very nice, she explained us how to get to the main attractions and suggested a very good restaurant. The breakfast provided was very good too. Would definitely recommend!

A charming period hotel in a superb location and only a 20 minute walk to the railway station. The welcome here is warm and friendly. It is perhaps a little over priced in view of the limited facilities but there's no denying the charm of the place.

The hotel is in the perfect location in Bruges. The owner is very helpful and shows you where to find the best things to see. The rooms are clean and quirky - they're not your standard sterile rooms, they have personality. Bathrooms are good quality. And the breakfast is very good. On checking out, the owner gave us a bottle of wine as a gift to enjoy in the new year - a nice touch.

The hotel manager was very friendly and helpful. The location was excellent, one block from the main square. There was parking available across the road for EUR10 per day. The continental breakfast was well presented Our room was spacious with a big bay window facing the Belfry. The hotel has a lot of potential but needs new furniture in the rooms. Everything was clean and everything worked (except the showerhead attachment which requires a small fix) but the rooms are furnished in a bric-brac fashion. This does add to its small hotel charm though and did not affect our enjoyment of the stay.

Mireille is an excellent hostess, speaks several languages fluently and is more than happy to assist her guests with any queries regardin Bruges. The breakfast offers a wide selection of healthful choices in a bright and attractive dining room. Enjoyed the opera and classical music at breakfast. Our request for a view of the Bell tower was obliged. The bathroom floor and wall tiles, and the shower are clean and appear to be new. The hallways and staircase are well-worn, and the walls are in need of some paint and renovation. The room decor is basic. The mattress lacked firm support.

A historic hotel only two blocks from the center of this stunningly beautiful city. The owner was very pleasant and helpful during our stay. The delicious, free continental breakfast included meats, cheese, various breads, chocolate croissants and other tasty pastries, yogurt, juice and much more. We ate ours in front of the hotel's stone fireplace while listening to soft classical music. Our room was small, but typical of European rooms, quite comfortable, and a great value.

The lady that runs the hotel is very nice, and the location is excellent, right around the corner from the central square/ market and belfort. The breakfast was good, although only served from 8:30,to 10:00 am. So early risers be warned. The lady who runs the place is far and away the best thing about this hotel. The price is good so for budget tourist this hotel may be fine. The owner is so nice I hate to leave negative remarks, but in fairness there are several things that need improvement. The room we stayed in seemed very worn and in need of an update. I don't like to say dirty, because everything was clean, but the feeling was overall rundown, and I stay in budget hotels in Europe regularly. The shower stall was installed directly in front of the toilet, so you had to sit on the toilet sideways. I am only 5'5', so if I can't, most will have problems, also there was a single light in the bathroom about 12 ft high and it gave off very little light. If your with friends, and on a tight budget the hotel is fine, if your on a romantic getaway, you should probably look elsewhere.
