Old school place, but really charming and in center of everything
nothing bad to tell
The proprietor of the hotel is awesome. When you check into the hotel, she gives you a map, discount cards and helps you orient yourself in the city. It is more like a bed and breakfast feel than a hotel. I felt like I was a much wanted guest in someone's home. It was a great experience and I will definitely stay here and recommend to friends who are visiting.
If you have an issue with stairs, you may have a problem. It wasn't a negative for our group, but might be for people with mobility issues.
Very friendly, helpful owner/manager. Located right in the centre. Good value for money.
The family room for four was small and one of the beds was a bit hard.
The lady at front desk is very helpful with travel information. Beds are small but single and comfortable. Hotel locates near the center, bell tower and market.
Location, Hotel support, Breakfast, Pillow, Parking next to the hotel and still in the Old town, everyday cleaning.
Shower holder, Internet should be probably included, but reasonable price.
Very nice lady runs the place, she gave us general directions and tips on our arrival. Very good location, easy to go from/to the train station.
Room is kind of old, but nothing to complain.
The welcome was awesome, we were offered many information o Bruges, its main attractions and also less known landmarks
Mimi is an excellent hostess, the breakfast was best we have had in Bruges. Love the hotel character. We will return!
The staff, especially Mimi, the owner. The location is very good, neat the Grote markt and near the supermarket. The breakfasts. A moderate price.
Location, Location, Location. Host friendly & helpful. Secure Private Parking available at a cost.
No Fridge. Steep Spiral Stairs. Poor Cleanliness. Cramped en-suite. Poor maintenance.
Friendly and helpful hostess. Very good breakfast. Really good location close to town centre.
Rather shabby and drab decor. No tea/coffee provided in room. Quite noisy on the street sometimes.
Old house turned into a charming small hotel. Unbeatable location. The owner, Mireille, is absolutely delightful: as soon as you arrive she gives you a lot of information (maps, events, places to visit, etc), she goes with you to the room and is at your disposal all the time. TEN POINTS TO MIREILLE. It's superbly located. Breakfast more than excellent, with clasical music, balanced and delicious. In two words: TOTALLY ADVISABLE.
Facilities in rooms are limited. You have to pay for using Internet (wifi). However, these flaws are totally made up for the charm of the place and mainly for the kindness of its owner (Mireille).
Helpful patron, excellent location, good secure parking and a good breakfast.
Small bathroom and room rather tired looking.
Lady at front of house is excellent - a people's person - in the right job -as she is very informative, friendly and enthusiastic about Bruge and what it has to offer. Her hotel is more like a home and breakfast is great.
Décor getting a bit tired....
Location, polite and very helpful hostess, very good breakfast, quiet street yet near centre, beautiful and personalised interior decoration.
Required more cleaning, especially in the bathroom. Also the building is very old and several facilities (like shower or cable connections) require some renovation.
The lady at reception was super lovely and friendly! Breakfast was great Great location I wouldn't recommend staying for longer than 2 nights but definitely worth a visit!
Located in the heart of the city Van Eyck proved to be a great choice for us as we were travelling with our 1 year old. The hostess is lovely and very very helpful. Breakfast was very good. Would easily recommend it.
Nothing as such
The owner is very friendly and very professional. She is always happy to provide recommendations and to make sure you have a great time in Brugge. The room was very comfortable and the location perfect to reach every sightseeing of the city.
Staff, breakfast, location.
Nothing really. Rooms are not spacious but this is probably part of life in buildings in the old town.
nice owner/ operator Excellent location
Very steep stairs to 2nd floor. No elevator Very difficult for old people to get luggage to room
Location close to centre
Room was dark, dingy, and dirty. Showroom and toilet cramped and again not very clean. Room furniture ramshackle. Stairs steep, difficult for anyone with cases. Had to ask for a change of towels. Breakfast was OK but everything left in open to flies. I have stayed in better hostels. I do not know how previous reviews were good.
Very helpful lady at the front desk. Really made us feel looked after.
We happened to be there on a very hot day - no a/c made the room unpleasantly hot and difficult to sleep in. The bathroom finishing was also not great - very poor workmanship made the bathroom look shoddy. finally no elevator, so we had to carry a heavy case up two flights of stairs.
It is a nice, old hotel in a perfect position. The lady in the reception is very helpful and very kind. The breakfast is satisfactory.
A renovation is necessary, as the building is a little bit old.
Really recommend this lovely Hotel with her very friendly owner who is always there to feel you warm welcome,to give you some tips or just talk to you for a while. The Hotel has perfect location and for sure you'll enjoy as well lovely athmospere of breakfast.
Excellent location, friendly staff
Dusty, needs renovation. Our reservation was for 4 ppl but fourth bed was very uncomfortable.
