The lady at reception was super lovely and friendly! Breakfast was great Great location I wouldn't recommend staying for longer than 2 nights but definitely worth a visit!
The owner is very friendly and very professional. She is always happy to provide recommendations and to make sure you have a great time in Brugge. The room was very comfortable and the location perfect to reach every sightseeing of the city.
Staff, breakfast, location.
Nothing really. Rooms are not spacious but this is probably part of life in buildings in the old town.
nice owner/ operator Excellent location
Very steep stairs to 2nd floor. No elevator Very difficult for old people to get luggage to room
Location close to centre
Room was dark, dingy, and dirty. Showroom and toilet cramped and again not very clean. Room furniture ramshackle. Stairs steep, difficult for anyone with cases. Had to ask for a change of towels. Breakfast was OK but everything left in open to flies. I have stayed in better hostels. I do not know how previous reviews were good.
Very helpful lady at the front desk. Really made us feel looked after.
We happened to be there on a very hot day - no a/c made the room unpleasantly hot and difficult to sleep in. The bathroom finishing was also not great - very poor workmanship made the bathroom look shoddy. finally no elevator, so we had to carry a heavy case up two flights of stairs.
It is a nice, old hotel in a perfect position. The lady in the reception is very helpful and very kind. The breakfast is satisfactory.
A renovation is necessary, as the building is a little bit old.
Really recommend this lovely Hotel with her very friendly owner who is always there to feel you warm welcome,to give you some tips or just talk to you for a while. The Hotel has perfect location and for sure you'll enjoy as well lovely athmospere of breakfast.
Excellent location, friendly staff
Dusty, needs renovation. Our reservation was for 4 ppl but fourth bed was very uncomfortable.
Everything was perfect. Great staff, nice rooms.
- Fantastic host: the owner was very welcoming and friendly - as well as extremely helpful, giving us a run-down of all the places to visit in Bruges on a map, presiding over breakfast to make sure everything was okay, etc. It felt like she would have happily dealt with any customer requests. - Characterful hotel: a mix of quirkiness and grandeur made it a unique place to stay. - Nice breakfast: wide range of things both savoury and sweet, and hot drinks; good balance between Belgian foods and typical continental items. - Great location: literally seconds away from the market square (and I'm not one to use 'literally' liberally), yet tucked away in a quiet location. - Nice room: pleased with what we got for our money, it was comfortable and we even had a view of the Belfry tower (as requested)!
- Nothing to complain about (apart from very minor issues of cleanliness: stains on one or two of the cushions, and limescale on the showerhead which could have been removed with ease)
The hotel is very close to the market place. The hotel owner was very friendly. She gave us a very detailed introduction of the town when we checked in. The wifi, though a reasonable charge was required, was good. We had a pleasant stay at the hotel.
very good location, 3 minutes walk to the bell tower and the plaza. the lady was very kind and helped a lot! nice and cozy room.
it's a little bit hard to carry the bags upstairs as for there's no elevator, and the electricity in the room is fragile. The building is old but anyhow you can always ask for help at the counter! so it's no big deal.
A pleasant eclectic little hotel run by a very interesting and accommodating host. Great location close to the Market square.
We loved our host and the lovely little hotel - the breakfast was the best we had during our entire stay in Europe. Bruges was an absolute delight.
Couldn't fault it
Closeness to centre
Dirty room- cob webs Worn out towels Faded bed covers Stale rolls at breakfast Too hot with window shut, too noisy at night with window open
The hotel is beautifully decorated. The owner is very nice. She spent 10 minutes going through the local points of interest on the map for us. The location is really great too.
Internet was €5 and was not very good. I gave up trying to do anything on it.
Madam Van eyck is really friendly and humorous. Her attentiveness to detail makes our stay a really pleasant one.
There were flies in our room.
The host is really excellent, she tells you how to travel once checking in.
The room is a bit small.
A quaint and quirky hotel. It had a rustic charm about it and although a little frayed at the edges, the warm welcome, superb location and fabulous breakfast made up for it. We arranged private parking beforehand and this allowed us to drive right into the centre without any worries of finding a car park. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful - there if you needed anything. It was a gem of a place in the centre of Bruges that suited our needs perfectly.
For our one night there were no downsides.
Service was excellent
Location was perfect - cannot be better - 1 block from the square.!!
nothing really as this is all part of the European experience - things are just smaller in Europe.
Mimi is fabulous! We had a lovely stay, she made us feel very welcome & comfortable. She also was very sweet to my 3 year old daughter & made sure she had her own set up (special plate, silverware, toys) at breakfast, as well as gave her a toy to sleep with. The location of the hotel is perfect, the beds very comfortable & the decor, ambiance is very special & nice! We will definitely stay here again when we return!
The hotel is in a charming old house, very close to the Grote Markt. Upon arrival, we received a free upgrade to the best available room with a magnificent view to the Belfry, just because it was available (not because we asked for something better). The staff is very friendly and would give you many good tips for visiting the small town. Breakfast was also way above our expectations, with many patisserie options.
