Very welcoming. We had everything we needed provided. Great coffee and fresh orange juice in the morning.
Our hostess was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble including advice on where to eat and visit. The room was quiet and clean, free parking outside the B&B and only about a seven minute walk to the centre of town.
A very small point but worth noting - the bathroom in our room was actually in the room so no door.
Everything was fantastic. Large, spacious, very well presented apartment. We were warmly welcomed and the advice given on restaurants, cafes etc was much appreciated. We were provided with a Bruges guide book to borrow and really useful advice plus a free map of the city. Breakfast was delicious, I enjoyed the fresh pastries and orange juice and my partner enjoyed the eggs. It was my birthday one of the days and so we got an extra treat. The little things added to a great stay. Free wifi was fantastic and free bike hire was a great extra. It's about a 15 minute walk to the main city area but I would highly recommend to anyone staying in Bruges.
The room was beautiful, modern and spacious with a great eye for detail. A pleasant walk into town. Good breakfast and, very important, good coffee! You will be well looked after.
We stayed at Villa Chantecler for 2 nights in November for my boyfriend's birthday and couldn't have had a more wonderful time. Do not be concerned about the distance of the B&B from town - its a lovely 10-15 minute walk and only 5 minutes on the bikes. Just perfect!
Bruges was a lovely city but staying at Villa Chantecler made the trip extra special. My girlfriend and myself have had a few city breaks together now but the use of the bikes and guide books provided made this trip stand out. Thank you!
Very warm welcome . Most helpful owner . Virginie was the perfect hostess - nothing was too much trouble . She provided great info on Bruges and leant us her bikes for sightseeing
Excellent, spacious room, comfortable to sleep, a bit outside the center of Bruges, so fairly quiet, but still within a walking distance
The shower, and the toilet are inside the main room, and especially the toilet is right in the middle of the room, not separated by any wall, or even curtain. I can imagine this will be mighty inconvenient if more than one person stays in the room, and of course is not terribly hygienic.
Very stylish room Great eye for detail Lovely host
Itis a bit of a walk to the core of the city (max 15 min).
position, room facilities, kindness and courtesy of staff
parking on road
We loved everything about Villa Chantecler. We were made feel so very welcome by Virginie. She went out of her way to familiarise us with this beautiful city. The B and B was spotlessly clean and the modern interior was a complete contrast to the heritage listed building. Breakfast was great. Freshly squeezed orange juice, a choice of yoghurts, cereals cheeses, meats, bread, croissants fruit salad and even eggs cooked to your liking. We loved our stay here and enjoyed the leisurely 20 minute walk into the Old Town. Staying at Villa Chantecler made our stay in Brugge so special. Thank you.
Absolutely nothing. This place was fantastic and suited our needs perfectly.
Ultra modern crisp interior throughout Very Friendly and knowledgeable host Huge room Very good value for money Nothing too much for the host, we could use anything Facilities great with free coffee/ espressos Free wifi
As it was raining we didn't want to use the bikes and it was quite a walk to the historical part of Brugge so this limited to what we can do
Very friendly host. Nice bikes. We had a great time going around in the city of Bruges.
EVERYTHING, the food, the friendly Staff, the fact that its like an open house, and let us open to everything, Drinks, Nepresso Machine in our room, Bikes to use when ever, MASSIVE rooms, and very comfy. LOVED IT, Uniique Experience
You're always a bit unsure when booking online and when we pulled up to a small terrace house we we're a bit worried but the B&B exceeded all expectations. The owner was lovely, informative and made sure we had everything we needed. The accommodation was excellent, modern and very comfortable. On the whole very good value.
Friendly welcoming service. Excellent comms (early check-in). Expresso machine in room. Fantastic modern rooms. Homely but hotel feel. great fresh breakfast.
nothing to fault at all
Perfect in everyway..... All the little details were taken care of. The owners could not have been any more helpful.. Look for to returning.
We spent a wonderful week-end at Villa Chantecler in Bruges. Everything about the place was fantastic. Virginie was an excellent host, very kind and thoughtful. She gave us very good recommendations on where to eat and go in Bruges, and kindly allowed us to use their bikes. The room was tastefully decorated, spacious and immaculate. The breakfasts were top quality. We couldn't have wished to stay in a better place. Highly recommended.
Breakfast and coffee. The room was fantastic big and modern Everything is new and super clean The owners are very passionate and professional as hosts.
- owner is extremely friendly and provides individual service with very helpful information for a visit in Brugge (including - Our room was nicely furnished and spacious and everything showed that the owner is looking for details and style - high quality Nespresso machine in the room - Although the B&B is located at a busy street a bit outside of the city center, we slept well as the streets is quite calm during evening/night. - good free bikes to get to the city center that is only 10 minutes away (by bike) - wonderful breakfast with a good variety of quality food and also with freshly squeezed orange juice and high quality coffee from a Jura machine - in sum: a wonderful B&B place which shows in every detail that the owner cares and understands the needs of travellers who are looking for quality!
We found the B&B reasonably easily, as it wasn't too long a walk from the train station. We were greeted by Virginie who was a very kind hostess. She sat us down, made us tea and gave us booklets/maps and recommendations for our stay. We were also allowed use of the bikes, which really made our stay what it was! We could get into Central Bruges very quickly and easily, and it allowed us to see much more of the town that I expect we would have seen on foot. The room was lovely, beds were comfy and the breakfast was great too. Would highly recommend to anyone!
We put 'Good' on the Wi-Fi rating because it didn't quite reach the top room. However, this wasn't a problem for us and we just used the Wi-Fi in the sitting room downstairs if we needed to.
Very kind host who made us feel at home and told us which places to go and which to avoid . The breakfast was very good and it was nice to have the little kitchen area available for making tea etc
It was located very near a main road but the noise from the road was not to bad
Very friendly host. Virginie greeted us on arrival, gave us drinks and provided useful info about Brugge. The room was tastefully decorated, bed very comfortable and bathroom facilities modern. Everything was spotless. Breakfast each morning was lovely. Made to feel very welcome. Free use of bikes was a bonus. We will recommend this B & B to any of our friends back in Tasmania who are travelling to Brugge.
Just a suggestion. Maybe a small bar fridge in the top level room would be nice.
The host was great! Very friendly and gave us lots of advice and travel-guides for our trip. The free bikes were a bonus - best way to get around Bruges! The breakfast was lovely and the rooms were great - very modern, clean and spacious.
Nothing - would recommend it to all of our friends!
Virginie was lovely. She offered to make restaurant reservations for us, she gave us map and guidebook to use, directions, suggestions. Her guest house is beautiful. We had a gorgeous room which was modern within a heritage house. She has a decorator's eye as everything was so nice to look at. The breakfast was excellent and beautifully presented. We could use the sitting room and back patio. Best of all she provided us with great bikes to explore the area with. All in all, we had a wonderful time there. Thank-you Virginie.
