Our first floor room was on the road side and the traffic noise disturbed me, occasionally during the night, but especially from about 6am onwards. Ask for a room over-looking the garden if the noise will trouble your sleep.
Another Best Western Hotel in a beautiful, ornate old building, run as a family concern. This one was very clean with period furnishings and a welcoming entrance. Our room was very spacious with a wide bed, lovely bathroom and tea/coffee making facilities. The breakfast was plentiful although not too varied and could be taken outside in the spacious garden in good weather. A proper bar would have been a bonus although the well stocked mini-bar in your room contained most drinks and one could order more from reception. Their 'sister' Best Western, a few minutes around the corner, housed an excellent restaurant.
