The hotel is located on a lovely street between a canal and the main square. My room was pleasant and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful with a selecfion of cereal, bread, meat, cheese, jams, butter, cereal, juice, and coffee or tea. I found the propieter kind of odd ... she was efficient in responding to the bell at reception and serving breakfast each morning but she answered enquiries in the briefest, most abrupt way possible and gave the impression of boredom and veiled irritation. Maybe she is tired of tourists??

Ideal, central location. Large bathroom and comfortable beds. No shower curtain, nor hair drier - not problems though.

Location is absolutely perfect and, when you would like such things, the hotel has a very classical and rustic feel to it. I would recommend this hotel only when people wouldn't mind an old/rustic and basic hotel room. For some rustic for some plain old. Sanitary is clean but old fashioned no shower standard and curtain etc. Breakfast basic (but not bad).

As per it's description, Hotel 't Voermanshuys is situated perfectly to enable the enjoyment of the old part of Brugge... With all that the local area brings... Magical scenery, delicious food and shops to tempt. We were welcomed by Heidi, who took the time to attend to the dietary requirements of one of our children... By going out of her way to source gluten free food. Breakfast was a treat at the room price... Real value for money. Hotel 't Voermanshuys is a gem! Whilst it was wonderful to be able to enjoy a hot bath... Not something that all hotels offer, the hand-held shower was a bit tricky.

Breakfast room was well presented and far more recently decorated than the rest of the hotel. Ecellent location for exploring Bruges. I was lucky with on street parking - but otherwise the nearest carpark is a short walk away (that may be of consideration to families with young ones or less mobile travellers). Room and public areas (with the exception of the breakfast room) are just a little tired - this is probably already reflected in the price though.

Nice people, great location, clean room, comfy bed and simple, but good, breakfast. Room was small and a little tired in decor. However, the positives more than made up for this.

Simple and clean, I am satisfied enough. If there are some fruits or pieces of vegetable in the breakfast, it will be nice.

The hotel is in a great location and was very reasonably priced. Although classed as a hotel it is really more like a bed & breakfast. I would have liked to have had tea & coffee facilities in the room.

The hotel was good in every sense. The areas I wanted to see were really spread out, but they had bicycles to rent and that made all of the difference. Completely flat, easy to navigate. Otherwise you are doing a lot of walking or riding trams and busses

Location was good. Only found out after the stay that breakfast was included in the room rate, yet we had already gone elsewhere for breakfast. No air conditioning, and lots of street noise early in the morning with delivery trucks driving over the cobbled streets.

Very basic but clean and a good breakfast. Excellent location, very central and easy access to all sights on foot. Spacious rooms. No proper shower-had to sit in bath and desperately try not to wet the floor as there was no curtain.

“Mireille is an excellent hostess, speaks several languages fluently and is more than happy to assist her guests with any queries regardin Bruges. The breakfast offers a wide selection of healthful choices in a bright and attractive dining room. Enjoyed the opera and classical music at breakfast. Our request for a view of the Bell tower was obliged. The bathroom floor and wall tiles, and the shower are clean and appear to be new.” Linda, Killaloe, Ontario |
