Did not have rose leafs on valentine
Location was excellent, staff very helpful, breakfast to look forward to, rooms excellent with all the facilities we needed. Will be back.
Although we had requested car parking and were able to find a space, if there were any more guests this would have been a problem. The advertising gave the impression that there will always be a place available, this is not correct.
Great ambience. A nice walk down Avenue Louise into the town centre if you like walking (30 mins), but tram is very close if not and taxis are quite cheap. Got an upgrade as it was my birthday and loved the room. Great breakfast, albeit pricey like many hotels. Used to live in the area, so used the location to return to Place Chatelain as well as hit downtown.
Given the maximum 4 hour parking outside, almost have to take the hotel parking, but there aren't that many spots and it's scarily narrow.
Decor and rooms were excellent
Price or alcohol and mini bar were outrageous. Bag of crisps 6 euro
They took in advance total price for 3 days accomodation and addition blocked half of that price (during 8 days). It is unacceptable.
Great location, clean room, quite nights sleep
Drinks at reception lounge pricey as is the mini bar, however cheap mini-mart just a minute away
My room was just dirty. The ceiling showed traces of leakages, the bathroom was not clean (traces on the wall next to the toilets), elevator in poor shape and breakfast was everything but appealing. This hotel needs to be completely refurbished.
room size bathroom size comfortable bed
not within walking distance to the historical Grand Place area. Restaurants and cafes not close by.
Everything except items below
Cost of breakfast and meals we ate out for all and the free Wifi was really poor
The standard Wi-Fi was very poor and slow. There is an option to pay for an upgrade, but I did not try this.
kettle did not work----no shower screen
Atmosphere Decoration - art nouveau Comfortable armchairs Good bedding
Small bathroom Complimentary tea and coffee missing the first day after checking in Shower hose leaking
Hotel staff, hotel location near tram station. Its only 5 minutes by tra to arrive at louise station and you can reach the old center by 15 min walkfrom thier.
Furnature and carpet is very old.
The staff were nice. We had bought a bottle of wine to drink in our room and the staff in the dining room gave us some wine glasses.
No eating places close by. It is a bit of a distance to the city center but you can take the tram.
Excellent location at Avenue Louise Really individual style and flair
Breakfast to expensive
The staff and the room
The room ( a twin ) was large , clean , light and. Comfortable . The beds were lovely and of very good quality . The whole hotel is designed in a very period but quirky way but is very stylish . The tram stop is nearby .a taxi to the hotel from the Eurostar terminal cost us 15 Euros so although not in the centre the city is easily accessible. The receptionists are very helpful and sorted out a noisy neighbour problem very swiftly .
The restaurant is currently closed for refurbishment and there is a limited bar menu which is quite expensive. Breakfast is ok but not great and is also quite costkly - 24 Euros P.P.! I was unhappy that the reception had added my city tax and a bar meal to my final bill ,dispite me asking to pay in cash ....There are no restaurants or shops very close to the hotel , but a short tram ride in the direction of Stephanie tram stop has designer shoos and a few cafes.
Hotel was run down.
Friendliness of the staff, and the service
The location on Avenue Louise is good, but slightly far to walk to the city centre - but this is just a minor quibble.
The staff were fab, really helpful. The hotel was clean and in a good location. We would defiantly go back.
I would have liked a little help with our bags on arrival.I had my baby with me and my husband was of parking the car.
location, room, facilities, front desk personnel, breakfast,
Quick and satisfactory
Prostitutes near the entrance
The hotel is in a very nice part of Brussels with a lot to do in the evening in the immediate neighbourhood. On the face of it the location is not the best for a business traveller, but if you look at the transport connections it actually works very well if you are visiting the EU institutions. There is a tram stop right outside the hotel that connects to Louise in a couple of minutes, and the trams run about every 5 minutes. The bus no. 60 takes you to Schuman from a stop a couple of hundred metres from the hotel. Because the location does not look so good, the prices are very competitive and the standard of the hotel itself is very good.
